I begin state tournament coverage this afternoon (weather permitting). I have a 386 or 486 IBM Thinkpad I bought USED 10? years or so ago, for $125 bucks or so..I used it a little, then it gathered dust and gunk in a drawer for years.
I've been playing with it, and got the monochrome screen-produced image (bad one, but still visible) to show the text I'm typing, and successfully saved it to the a-drive where I had loaded a more modern-day floppy..and now have just been able to transfer and display the next on a current-day machine.
I'm not completely techno-iilliterate, but I'm certainly no whiz at it,either. I may take it out with me to write oin at the state tournament today..I'll have power there, so won't need to see if the battery on it still wortheth.
Thougt it was cool! :)
