That last post made me think of my Grandpa.
anyone heard from geri??? is the baby here yet???????
LOL I just happened across this thread today. I didn't even know it was here! lol
Thanks for thinking of me okie!!!
The baby isn't here yet, but she's getting close. I have had a couple of real contractions this week, and the baby has at least STARTED to drop, although I kinda hope she dropped as far as she's going to lol. It's hard enough to walk as it is.
We are moving this weekend so I'm going a little crazy trying to get everything done without actually DOING anything. The baby has been sticking appendages out (as well as her little tushy) so that I feel like she's trying to come out of my belly button lol. Tyler and I are convinced that she is gonna be onery from the minute she is born lol.
If I remember I will try to take some pictures this weekend. I'm down to about 3 outfits that fit me, so I'm not 100% sure I want to capture that on camera LOL
I'll keep y'all updated!!
p.s. Eric, remember riding the little stone pig or whatever it was outside of Frish's? LOL

Capture it, it'll be great for the baby's book. :)
awww. yay!!!! How exciting. I was really wondering if you had had her and not told anyone. lol.
keep us posted.. both with words and pictures. :)
My husband and I are moving today. Or I guess I should say my husband is moving our stuff and I am going to watch lol.
We have the nursery pretty much all set up except for some finishing touches which I hope to finish this weekend. I will post some pictures once it's finished. The baby is already getting spoiled by her grandmothers. One bought all of her furniture and a bunch of clothes. The other one bought a bunch of clothes, diapers and bottles. *sigh* At least now it's helpful spoiling lol.

:laughhard: I forgot about that!!!!
I had a Dr. Appointment yesterday and got some news I wasn't expecting.
My blood pressure has started to shoot up and the Dr. put me on BP meds. She is also doing blood work to see if I am developing preeclampsia(toxemia). If she doesn't like the results of my blood work she is going to call me before my next appointment and talk about induction.
I am 36 weeks so it wouldn't be a horrible thing to have the baby early, but I don't want have to have her early because of this. As of right now the baby is healthy and perfectly fine, and I want to keep it that way. The doctor told me to take it easy and stay off my feet as much as possible, which I am trying to do. But I am still working full-time and we still have a bunch of stuff to move into our new apartment.
I'm trying to not let all of this worry me, but it's getting harder not to worry. Please keep us in your prayers as we don't really know what is going to happen in the next week.
Geri
p.s. Also found out that her head is the size of a 39 week old baby. Never marry a man with a big head!!!! lol
Ouch...thats gonna hurt. LOL
prayin for you and your lil one.
I was induced with Landon, and it was wonderful! lol. He was also 9lb 4oz and huge all over...lol. I totally know what you mean by a big head. He still has a huge head... i'm a wee bit worried about the next one. hehe.
take it easy as much as poss...and remember... if she comes early...there's a reason for that!
Well, it looks like the baby is going to hang out a bit longer. Her mommy is getting very uncomfortable, so I hope she decides to come soon. I can't take any vacation before she comes if I want to have 8 weeks after she is born, but I don't know how much longer I can keep working. *sigh*
Please keep us in your prayers. We are counting down the days, and it's hard to relax and trust that she will come at the right time. I am starting to become very emotional and inconsolable when I think about holding my baby. Poor Tyler has his hands full trying to keep me calm and focused.
It's funny how 9 months flew, but 13 days seems like an eternity!
Geri
Was wondering if you'd had that baby yet. You'll forget all the hassle once you have the bundle of joy in your hands. :)
im wondering too..
You know Geri, Ambre got married and is getting ready to have a baby also!

and chelsea's pregnant too! (for the second time!)
my 2nd was 3 weeks early. She was born with a tad bit of fluid in her lung and had to be monitored for a few days, but she was fine!!! She was 6lbs 14 oz. perfect size!!!!
If you're thinking of an epidural..............I HIGHLY recommed it!!!! I did one with and one without and did fine both ways, but was MUCH happier WITH the epidural!!!! LOL The drugs are WONDERFUL!!!!!!! he he he
What is your nursery decorated with?
Could your job put you on light duty for a few weeks? My old hospital would do that for some of the nurses that needed to work, but couldn't stay on their feet the whole 12 hours.
Is your family close by? enlist them to help you as much as possible.
Are your bags packed? Don't forget money for the vending machine-------------and don't forget the camera and baby book!!!!
Lord bless you and keep you through this time!!!!

I am definitely thinking of having the epidural. I know myself, and I know that I do not endure pain well at all.

The nursery is Winnie the Pooh. It is so cute!!

I have a desk job, so there isn't a lot they will do to alter my schedule. They did let me work at home a couple days last week, but if I don't have enough work to occupy at least 6 1/2 hours, I have to take vacation which I am trying to save to spend on the baby. I will only get 6 weeks partial pay on Short Term Disability, so I will have to supplement the rest of my maternity leave with vacation. I have barely two weeks right now, so I can't afford to take any days off. I think that is what is stressing me out more than anything because it is almost torture to keep working full time with the way I feel right now. I was hoping she would come this weekend so that I wouldn't have to go to work tomorrow. Looks like that isn't going to happen :sadbounce:

Not really. My mom and mother-in-law both live about 4 1/2 hours away. They are planning on visiting when the baby is born though.

Bags are packed and in the car. I have been carrying around cash in my wallet for two weeks so we would have some at the hospital lol.
Lord bless you and keep you through this time!!!!
Thank you. I'm going to need His help big time to get through this without going crazy. It is so hard to let go and let things happen in His time.
sharon
yay!!! it's gettin close...
that reminds me .. .we need to find the old/start a new "What to Pack in Your Hospital Bag..."
it came in handy with me.... specially since it was my first time....
Well, I was supposed to have my last Dr. appointment yesterday morning. I say supposed to because when I showed up, they informed me that my Dr was not there and they must have *forgotten* to call me to cancel. *sigh* So I had to wait around and go back about an hour and a half later (when I should have already been at work *grrr*) to see a different Dr.
So I see the other Dr, which stinks because he can't make the call whether or not to induce me (unless there was a problem), and since the baby and I are ok, he just sent me on my way. He did tell me I'm dilated about 1/2 cm though (*sigh* and *grr*). If the little stinker isn't born by Sunday, then I have to see my Dr on Monday (she BETTER be there) to talk about induction.
So now I am sitting at work, wishing I wasn't, and trying not to think about when the baby is going to be born (even though I know fully that this is impossible). :sadbounce:
Please, please, please keep me/Tyler/the baby in your prayers. I NEED this baby to be born NOW! lol

i'd say your misrable... - do you have mood swings or anything? do you crave anything wierd? what about Tyler? hows he been through this all? - And, I want to meet him! and see the baby soon!
yay!! it's time!!! lol. I was wondering if you'd had the baby yet. Maybe the lord will intervene and you'll go natural this weekend...
Nope, no baby yet. We had ANOTHER false alarm on Friday afternoon. I left work to go to the hospital and it ended up being either false labor or just the way the baby was positioned causing the pain. So no baby yet :sadbounce:
I have an appointment at 12:45 today, so I'm hoping that the doctor gives us good news.
Geri
any news yet????? i'm hoping your appointment is over by now..lol. Maybe you're in the hospital? or on the way???? lol
STOMPS foot...............................Waiting.................(Impatiently I might add!!!!) LOL
Praying for ya sis!!! It will all be OK!!!!!!

anyone heard from Geri? ? ? ?
She was last online on the 16th - maybe baby is here now!! That'd be great!!
Baby is indeed here. When I went for my appointment on the 16th, the doctor scheduled an induction for the 17th. Unfortunately, September decided that she didn't want to be evicted, so I had to have a C-section after 28 hours of labor. Not fun, but it was worth it.
September Grace was born on June 18th at 2:44pm, with a weight of 5lbs 2oz and a height of 18 1/2 inches. She is perfectly healthy and is doing great. I am still recovering from the C-section, but I'm starting to feel better.
All of the doctors said she was going to be about 7 1/2lbs minimum (I think that's why they went ahead with the induction), so when they pulled her out they were all extremely shocked that she was so tiny. They said the reason was because she had a two artery umbilical cord instead of a three artery one. She was down to 4lbs 15oz when we brought her home from the hospital, but on her first Dr appointment on Monday she was back up to 5lbs 2oz. She is not able to nurse well yet because she is so small, so we are supplementing with formula. Hopefully we won't have to do that for too much longer. Anyway, she is a sleeping machine and would be pretty much sleeping through the night already if we didn't have to wake her every 3 hours to feed her.
I will try to get a link to my husbands flickr account on here so yall can see all of the pictures.
Geri (now officially a momma)
 Congratulations!
Congratulations!
huh? ???
QuoteThey said the reason was because she had a two artery umbilical cord instead of a three artery one.
The normal is to have only 2 arteries and one vein in the umbilical cord...
:thumbsup2: yyyaaaayyyy
Congrats! yay!

To some, arteries and veins are the same thing... :) Not speaking specifically of Geri, but of LOTS of other Americans for sure, haha.
Anyway, Congratulations, Geri!

*shrug* I'm just going by what they told us. They seemed surprised that there were only two arteries and they told us that was probably why she was small.
Either way, she is doing great. At her Dr. Appointment on the 30th she was up to 6lbs 9oz and we were able to switch her to regular formula instead of the preemie high calorie kind. Still working on getting the pictures linked in, but I'll hopefully be able to do that soon.
Geri
Well, September is 1 month old today and she is getting big fast. She is already up to 8lbs 2oz, so she has gained a little over 3llbs since she has been home from the hospital. Hopefully I will get some new pictures online soon.
Until then, here are some pictures from soon after we brought her home. The newest pictures are first.
This is my husbands flickr account, hopefully I paste the link right: http://flickr.com/photos/10301879@N03/ (http://flickr.com/photos/10301879@N03/)

And, I may have missed it, but does the name September have special meaning to y'all? I've never heard it used as a name.
Tyler and I were married in September and I thought it sounded pretty.
Geri
now you need april, may, june, august, and... I dont know how good Feburary or November would be... lol
Tyler says that if we have a girl born in September, we have to name her June. I'm not so sure about that lol.
I have seen women named January and February, December would be a good name too ;0)
There are some new pictures on the flikr website!!!

We moved to Cleveland because I got a job here during my last semester at college. Thankfully, Tyler didn't mind moving so far away from home. Our families still live down there, although my parents just bought a house that is about 5 minutes from Tyler's mom's house, so it's not an hour drive to visit both of them now.
Tyler's dad lives in Montana, and we have actually been talking about potentially moving out there in a few(probably more than 5) years.
