Fair Lady,
How dost thou feel about having thine own thread?
John :waving:
:o :scared:  :worry: :uhoh: :spitlaugh: :rotfl:  Wow...I had no idea this was created...I don't know if I have anything people would want to ask, but thank you, Sir John for creating this thread. :waving: :great:
How do you like Minnesota? Where were you originally from, again?
Do ya hang out with Scott?
Aren't you in Brother Andrew's church? Like it there? Bloomington?
How many Bloomingtons are there?
Donno. I think there's one in Michigan and one in Kentucky, too.
Um....not from America, from Australia...sitting here down unda, with a bemused expression on my face and with my arm in a sling because I fractured my elbow at work, on lunch break, walked out of building, turned, slipped, put my arms out to balance or break my fall...neither happened and fell quite badly.
So no, don't hang with Scott, never met him in person, never been to Minnesota...or anywhere in the US...including Bloominton Michigan and Kentucky....the only brother Andrews I know all live here in Australia. I'm from the church here in Sydney.

 OOOHHH Sorry, I thought you were one of the posters who moved to Minnesota. Boy, was I far off, huh?
Sorry to hear about your injury. How long will your arm be out of service?
No Worries! I shuldn't say the church since there's a few but it's the biggest church, pastored by the best pastor in the world imho.
Arm should heal up in about two to three weeks, according to the docto, but I've got to go back to work on Monday regardless, please pray for me.
Well update: I'm till home, it'll take about a month for my elbow to heal according to the orthopeadic(sp?) surgeon...so I'm at home with my arm in a sling...I'm grateful for the downtime...but a month is a bit much to be off work.
wow! where do you work? do they have something that you could do without using your arm? answering phones? tours? lol. anything?
I work for a council in the records department and the work I do requires both arms and hands....and legs and feet...to be functioning properly. At least I'm on compo, so I'm getting paid while being incapacitated. Phones...they usually need someone else.
And...I must be boring lol...or not on here enough for people to want to ask anything...or maybe since I'm the only Aussie who posts here anymore...
Ready for Old man WInter to hit the island?
What do you think of my advatar?
Nicole posts every once in awhile. (Well she is in HK now, but she still is an Aussie)
I just havent thought of a good question for you yet. :)
I think your confirming your place in the grumpye old bachlor club re your avatar j/k ;) :hypocrite: Seriously though, Is that a blister or an oddly-shaped pinky toe?
Winter seems to have hit a bit early this year, I'm already rugged up in my sheepskin uggs and alpaca wool shawl (both bought at the Easter Show)
Nik posts sporadically...where are you Nik?
That's ok...I rarely know what to ask people either
How cold are the winters in your area, Lady Chris?
John :waving:
Well, it doesn't snow...except up in the mountains...except for that one time when there was frost in the front yard...but that was the coldest day we had in about ten years I think.
Even so, I hate the cold...it depends where you go, 18 degrees celcius is what it was a couple of days ago (we go celcius, not farenheight) It was really cold at a Youth Camp a month ago, we were all crowded around the fireplace in the main hall.
Nik is around...Ill see if I cant get her to make an appearance soon. :hypocrite:
I know how to find her.
If I picked the right way to mentally figure that in fahrenheit, I think that would be about 66 degrees in the system we use..you're in your fall season, aren't you?
John :waving:

Yup it's around autumn (our word for fall) here...I'm gonna turn 24 soon. But I remember warmer autumns
Well, you look great for a woman your age!
I am sooooooooooo in trouble for that, right? :goodmod:
John :waving:
:eyebrow: riiiight
:P :P
I didn't get a good angle on the pic....but yes it is two toes....joined at the base and the base of the bone, split in half - half way down to form two toes. When I get the right angle it resembles slightly a heart.
Woah...but I know a few people with odd feet. Do you have trouble with shoes does it feel squashed sometimes?
Dress shoes it does, tennis shoes is a lot easier to find to wear. I have mostly switched over to wearing tennis shoes even with my suits.
Upcchris, I like your quotes. :D
Do you have any siblings?

I'm around a BIT - but not as much... did you miss me??
Haha! I told ya!

Thanks Mel
Yes I did miss you Nik
And yes I have siblings
Do you go to Campsie or HopeLive? I forget...
God's girl all the way
Good Morning Rosie!!! :waving:
what is Campsie?
what is HopeLive?
Rosie???
Campsie is Grace Tabernacle Christian Centre in Campsie, HopeLive is a new church recently opened in Miranda
you just seemed like you could use a rose or be one!
um...thank you...I think
*sigh* I turned 24 on Sunday
When was the last time you have been to the states and where did you go?
I've actually never been to the states....ever....if you can believe that....*sigh* what a sheltered life I lead....was seriously tempted to fly over for the OK meetup....but situations demanded that I remain here ie lack of funds and time.
Well, most of us have never been to OZ, so you are ok. ;)
The States is over rated - you should go to Hong Kong instead ;)
Or even New Zealand - it's heaps cheaper!!!
Honestly I'd love to travel but time and money is always an issue...which is why I love AYM, it gives me an excuse to travel albiet in Australia, but it's all good, it gives me a chance to visit parts of Aus that I haven't seen before. I'm going to Lynbrook in Melbourne this year.
The thread ressurector strikes again! AYM was awesome.
How good are you at chess?

Man. You missed out! And so did we.
Chess? I'm a novice...feel free to play against me - you'll win (more than likely)
LOL, I'm not sure how to take that last post. I know I missed out...though, truth to tell, if I did come I probably wouldn't have spoken as much as I do on here.
I would venture the guess that it means you missed out on great food, great fellowship, meeting everyone, and watching the bust-a-move in live 3d action, along with the possiblity of seeing alot of stars.
the flip side to that was we missed out on getting to know someone from the extreme south!!! And don't worry, I don't think alot of us really talked as much in person as we do online here.

I think you might've surprised yourself. :) Either way.
I'm a novice too, my husband, however, was trained by a very good uncle. So... he asked what my strategy was and I had to narrow it down to "um, I'm not afraid to die?"

Awwww *HUGS* Sis
On chess: lol, I have pretty much the same strategy, I form a defensive block with my pawns, and when they get slaughtered I just try to keep my king and queen from getting killed.
On what I missed: Thanks...rub it in why don't you :P Yeah talking on the net is a lot easier than talking in person....ohhh the awkward silences. lol
ha, we didn't have any awkward silences....LOL too many people to fill in the gaps!
What do you like to do to relax?
As bad as this sounds: watch tv or play Wii...or read fantasy genre books...hey I'm being honest.
Also...posting on Godplace could be added to those passtimes :laughhard: Writing also...I've currently got several short stories going and I've hit writer's block for all of them! :-?
Wanna come over and have some cookies?
I'd love to!!! And would if I had my own jet...or if I could teleport!!! :warp:
that would be soo cool! :hyper:
maybe i can come see you in ausi one day? lol!
That'd be Awesome!!! :great:
/me plans her trip for summer 2011... BOL!

You would want to fly out of Guatemala City that summer. Promise!
The main Australian City (no offence to other Australian cities) airport...around December-February...that's our summer
/me plots and plans...
This sounds so fun! I have never been to your part of the world yet! :hyper:
What is there to do? haha, I think i would just have fun hanging out and seeing you and the way things are over there!
...um....gee I'm such a homebody
Touring the city....we'll need another Sydney-sider for that because I can pretty much guarantee I'll get us lost. You can climb to the top of the Harbour Bridge...you'll just need to wear the cover-alls they supply.
there's sometimes theatre performaces...although those are expensive...going to Lady Macquaries Chair, the musuem the art Gallery the Domain, the Botanic Gardens, the Sydney Opera House, Luna Park...Australia's Wonderland closed down....I'm a bit miffed about that, it was a nice place to go...but I think less and less people went so they couldn't afford to stay open....if you come down during Easter time there's the Royal Easter Show...but that's a bit pricey too...there's a pop culture convention later in the year...but that would depend on how much you're into Anime and Sci-Fi.
I'm trying to think about other stuff there is to do....there's probably heaps that I don't know about...I guess it all depends on what you're into.
Chel if you do go, tell me when so I can go too!!
And then I can show you Wollongong which is even more gorgeous than Sydney ;) ;)
I would love to see Wollongong AND Sydney!! Bec sent me photos from there a few years back and I've wanted to visit ever since.
What is your favorite book of the fantasy genre variety?
Never Ending Story...it's what inspired me to write...Chronicles of Narnia is also awesome.
I could never get into reading Tolkien...he was a bit too long-winded...but still the amount of detail he went into...genius.
Liked reading Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.
go girl keep writing
Do you have any summer plans?
LOL, I think you mean winter plans...it's freezing over here at the moment...
I'm going on a tour in some libraries in Sydney soon...it should be cool to see how other libraries operate.
You know I thought about that after I posted that lol
keep warm
Have you seen where you were part of the newest Invgestigations thread, Lady Chris? :hypocrite:
John :waving:
Do you work in a library?
LOL Thanks I intend to. Brrr! I hate the cold!
yes, I did read the investigations...LOL. Sometimes I have a very mercenary opinion on marriages and sometimes I accept them for what they are. *shrugs* I never expected that thread to become so contraversial.
yes, I work in a Library

Cheers for that, bro :great:
you can't judge a thread by its title *shrugs*
Why don't you ever see the headline Psychic Wins Lottery?
no idea! LOL
Probably because it's easier to tell someone 'you will meet a tall dark stranger' as opposed to 'tomorrow's winning lottery number will be as follows..." and be remotely accurate.
