Three silent Ladies
Not normally so, but now
Wait! Did one just speak?
One silent lady
Saying nothing quietly
An anomaly
Spring's first full moon's light
The inevitable dawn,
Descends, approaches
Why not more haikus?
B, RJ, Wooby, and More
In five, seven, five
Water in the night
glistens, glimmers, and shimmers
light reflected white
Setting of the moon
Betokens sunrise, daylight
As night takes it's rest
Glad day for a thief
Seems the enemy has won
Sun's face is hidden
spring's bright, happy face
hidden once again by a
fresh blanket of snow
B
...Just stopping in to show affection for the art of Haiku.
*waits for Aaron, B, RJ, and John to fill thread 3*

Off the beaten path

Love it for several reasons--one of which is that it reminds me of a specific time and place. One spring my family and I went camping up in the Ochoco Mountains and hiked up this little valley. Waaay up the hillside (with wildflowers everywhere) was this this crystal clear pool that was completely breathtaking.
I think it was on the same trip that we wandered up what we thought was an old logging road, and discovered an old coal-miner's shack.
Does that ever bring back memories! :)
There's one other reason (that is a tad more personal) for why I love that haiku, too,. *smile*

Hello...
Heya... ;)
I'm doing my part to contribute to the haiku thread, since an actual haiku from me would just.. not be good. :biglaugh:
That's why I write so many! I'm balancing you out! :thumbsup2: :laughhard:

why would we want to be adventerous :o
I was just pulling out a word she's used on me more than once, I'm sure. lol
B
I might yet get brave and do an attempt at poetry but it probably won't be formal haiku or formal anything else.
That's cool. Most of my stuff isn't formal, either. :teeths:
B
But Leah's my poetic half. I just do the photoshopping! *grin*
you are going to post pictures to illustrate the hikau's?
Too cool!
(haha, i know, you didnt say that, but it would still be really cool!)
Ooh, I have picture poems.. We should have a picture poem/haiku thread! :teeth:
why limit it to just haiku's and picture poetry? Can we have a poetry thread thats not specifically for spiritual stuff since the poetry board is under spiritual?
It's under spiritual? ???
yep its under the Spiritual Discussions section of the forum.
Huh.. Strange
hmm do we need to put in a request to Brannon for a new section of the forum... non spiritual poetry
I was wondering if there was a poetry section that wasn't Haiku. It's amazing what you learn lurking around. ;)

There is one for spiritual poetry anyhow
Haiku, poetry
Which one to write should it be?
It can be both, see?
figures that someone would make a haiku out of that

HAHA!!
I was wondering!
Twins, triplets and quads
Will Sir John good father make?
Polling says: good odds!
By crescent moon's light
Betide the darkness of night
Sheds slender shades, bright
Specks of light scatter
Breeze by; fly away; alight.
Twinkle in the night
Rock pool, life encased
Flowers of gold, field of green
Green beside the blue
Burp bubbles of air
many fruitloops to digest
dose of mylanta
Motion challenged air
Lying upon couch in the sky
Watches me swelter
Moonlight on water
Eastern Oklahoma hills
Spring yields to summer
Moonbeams through the trees
Starlight shines down from above
Oklahoma night
By the soft moonlight
A true love's face glows tonight
Toward me she turns
Silent, murmuring
Crickets, leaves on soft spring night
A wondrous delight
Sable night, moonlight
Softens darkness, lifts the light
True love waits tonight
Crickets in the night
Trees, silent, rustle in time
While moonlight looks down
Face of perfection
Emerald eyes, summer sighs
Beauty is complete
Golden hair so fair,
Eyes azure, complexion rare
Far beyond compare
Golden islands, green sea,
Flowers open, fields of green
Spring's wondrous display
Lonesome night song
Owl, small bird, predator, prey
Silent, I listen
Wow. Those must be the haiku you said you wrote while you were at the cabins?
Nice. Very nice.
:beret:

Yeah, I noticed that. And 'golden hair'? What's up with that? He's always been crazy about raven hair. Hmmm.....
:beret:
He is thinking about the upcoming trip.
*scratches head* Then he wouldn't be musing about golden hair. Unless Ash dyed hers recently. :biglaugh:

Ash might have...you never know...or he could be thinking about all your blonde moments, Ruby.
:hypocrite:
 I don't think so.
:beret:
Oh, but I do. You have the guys around here flocking to you. And you cannot deny that. ;)
:eyebrow: I can't?
Watch me:

But Im really not convinced...deny all you want...
What is it that Sir John says about denial?

 As if.
The only days guys flock around me are
A) the days David has friends over, and they want food
B) the days I'm with Trent in Hawaii
... and I like it like that. :)
Besides, most of the guys on GP only know my online persona. They haven't met the Ice Maiden (yet).
And Brannon and Seth and Justin were too much fun to be around to freeze. And were totally UN-threatening anyhow. ;)
Why do I get the feeling someone's going to twist what I just said to suit their own purposes?

Cause this is GP, and thats what we are good at.
And they do flock. And you know it. I can name names if you want.
