1. Ummm...Six?
2. I used to have a vein in my nose that apparently was too close to the surface. It used to freak people out because when I got fighting mad my nose would just start bleeding. lol
3. Yes.
4. I was born right near where I live now.
5. err...least favorite? I don't know, I like them all. I guess a sort of bilious, sludgy flat brown color. Almost greenish.

"Tsalagi" is a Cherokee approximation of the word "Cherokee", they refer to themselves as ani yun wiye or "the only real people".
No, it doesn't bother me!

A three month vacation anywhere? I would just go walkabout. Maybe Northwest - I like the woods. I wouldn't take anyone with me, and most of my time would be occupied with killing things and eating them. That and sleeping.

"It's 5 o'clock somewhere!" lol j/k
But of course! Anyone who talks to us on the phone usually has a very hard time telling us apart anyway.
I actually threatened a man yesterday because he couldn't seem to get it through his head that I wasn't my brother and called me a liar.
Dad told me I should hold my temper in a business environment, but the way I look at it is - if that joker is going to be rude enough to say something like that I don't want his business anyway and I sure as blazes ain't going to patronize his business.
I told him this is Texas and they used to kill people who called them liar, that I guessed I was just soft since I only offered to rearrange the dude's nose.
lol

hmmm I always thought a library was a building for keeping books and other reference stuff, but I guess two - so the poor librarian can keep them in alphabetical order on their wee little shelf...
As soon as it is "determined" that further stubbornness only results in a poor ROI. Of course, that really only applies where one is looking for some sort of profit from the situation. Believe it or not, obstinacy is a desirable attribute in an artist. :D (says the mule)

1. Getting the Holy Ghost when I was nine at crusader camp
2. Nope
3. Yep. We used to get in the parking garage at Baylor and ride the ramp down *shakes head* We almost got squished several times and jumping the speed bumps without clocking our head on the overhead clearance bar was always a challenge.
4. About 17...I just stood there and looked at her, and when I felt like the spanking was adequate for what I had done, I grabbed the belt and wouldn't let go. Wasn't ugly about it, I just thought it was a bit ridiculous - me being as big as I was - and it didn't really hurt that much anyway.
How much Snow & Ice Equals 30 LBS. Per Sq. Foot?

How much Snow & Ice Equals 30 LBS. Per Sq. Foot?
Square foot? If I answer that literally, ummm. None. A literal square is two-dimensional.
A
cubic foot, now...
...beats me! I would think a cubic foot of ice might weight about 30 pounds, though...but since the freezing point of water is a constant...i dunno.
you confused me... what does the freezing point of water have to do with how much it weighs?
Would 30 lbs of water be smaller than a cubic foot if it was frozen under high pressure? Or larger if it were in a vacuum?
Aaargh!!! ;)
:-?
but in your response, you didnt mention anything about size... just weight and the constant of freezing point... ?
true.
We have a one cubic foot space limitation, along with a 30 pound weight limit - so I was thinking *if* a cubic foot of frozen water weighed less than 30 pounds, would freezing it under pressure increase the density of the ice, or does the constant freezing point make that moot?
true, but you are talking about ice- a solid... and not vapor- a gas... arent the sizes of a solid constant? even under pressure? isnt that one of the defining characeristics of it?
It doesn't become a solid until after it's frozen. Would putting the water under pressure increase the density of the ice as it froze (thus allowing more weight in a one cubic foot space)?
hmmmm, I dunno. Looks like some rummaging around time is slated for lunch. :D
I always though it expanded at the same rate- whether underpressure or not... Isn't that one of the main reasons why they have to take care of cracks in the road in big chunks of concrete? and why the road gets major pot-holes in the winter?
and why cans explode when you put them in the freezer?
and why if you put the bottle in the fridge it will blow its top?
and... and ... and...
How good of a nurse will Sunlight be??

QuoteHow good of a nurse will Sunlight be??

water under pressure doesn't became noticeably more dense, but the freezing point does lower..water under vacuum sublimates :laughhard:

Your absence will not be excused. We told you on the first day of class not to plan interviews or anything else on class days, and by the way, you have a clinical conference that day as well. And you are scheduled to do a presentation on it. What are you going to do about that?"

Heh. I used to spend a lot of time in a drama green room waiting for my buds to finish rehearsal so we could go raid the Waffle House, and they had these old LP's full of voice samples from around the world for the actors to use in different parts. I'm afraid I about wore it out...
But there are so many different things that just beg to be said in a different voice - and I'm afraid it started as a defense mechanism and sort of grew into a habit...lol

I didn't say it bugs me when other people wear stuff like that, I just said it bugs me to wear stuff with words on it. :D

PHEW! I was worried.
I must further qualify this by saying that "murphy's rule of shirts" says that I'll see a shirt that I like in the next week that has words on it. Said rule renders null and void the "no words" rule. Plus, t-shirts are not bound by the law of shirts, anyway.
Mostly I dislike being a walking billboard. I don't like dealer badges on my car either lol.
I mostly advertise cities I've been to. I wear the tee shirts until they start to fade, then I cut the picture/words off the front. I'm going to make a quilt from the tee shirts.

I do things or say things sometimes that I know immediately I shouldn't have done or said. That makes me mad at myself. I also tend to get angry when someone tells me something that is obviously false and I can't figure out a reason for it.
Both occasions I just need to walk away and talk to The Boss about it for a bit.
Stuff that makes me laugh? I laugh for all sorts of reasons - mostly people joking or making puns, word jokes. Silly stuff.
I have a tendency to unthinkingly say things that strike me as funny but might hurt someone else's feelings, which I feel horrible about when I realize it. Then when I go apologize, it embarrasses the both of us.
I guess that's what Paul was talking about when he said jesting was 'inconvenient'.
Kids make me laugh, too.

I used to do that to my favorite tees once they started to fall apart and I couldn't wear them anymore without feeling like an utter hobo. I had a cork map of the US that I'd stick them to. You can tell my idea of decor is "early frat house" :)

Yes, but I don't like to, coloring the way I want is so much more fun!
Never did like pop-tarts, really. Except the chocolate ones. Chocolate alone can overcome a whole host of ills, including pastry that reminds one of cardboard. :D Toaster Strudels were always better than Pop-Tarts, IMO.
Yes, and what's more - I've weirded out a couple of poor little innocent clerks last Christmas by responding to their "Happy Holidays" with a "Merry
CHRISTMAS!!!" The Easter thing I ain't too happy about, what with the "Ishtar" or "Eostre" or Aphrodite or Ashtarte, Isis - whatever you want to call her - and the colored eggs and bunnies, so I celebrate it a little different.
I like Christmas trees, I like plants and trees in general and wouldn't mind having a live tree or two inside all the time, but I've never attempted to make the Christmas tree have any special Christmas meaning, it's an old symbol of winter. I prefer it that way.
My favorite kind of light? Sunlight of course! Early morning and late afternoon, or just anytime...
Happy now? :hypocrite:
Yesh, I like winter. My favorites are spring and autumn. Being an August baby makes summer kind of old hat. Or was that another sneaky question? :D
I do like the wind. More specifically, I like the wind that growls around right before a storm - the kind that smells of warmth and rain. If I really, REALLY don't want to do it, I usually just say, "That's something I don't really want to do". If it's something I sorta don't want to do - depending on the company it involves - I may decide not to be lazy and go do it anyway.
Hmmm, not sure. In what context? If someone I thought was my friend turned out not to be, I'd try not to be disappointed and just go on about my business. Someone who put on a personal front and was not who they represented themselves to be, I'd probably feel a little sorry for them...I dunno, just depends. Someone who did that in a business sense or with malicious intent would be asking for it.
Eh, clean all the ink off my chin, resolve not to chew any more pens, and go get another one? :D

It was a superhero design I was working on, I like to make comics using photos as a base - but that requires that I actually do the detail work and not be lazy. Using real people in pictures gives me much greater a range of facial expression and emotion, plus it forces me to really learn the planes of the face in relation to head tilt, plus anatomical wedging, blocking and balance like never before! Also peeps who stink at drawing hands and feet (including a BUNCH of pro comic book artists lol) should use a digital cam (or life drawing, but you get a lot of weird looks asking people if you can draw their feet) to get as many pics of hands and feet as possible and use that method to learn. Eh, if you can't tell I do tend to jabber on about stuff I really dig...lol
I wear a hat every now and then if I'm playing ball, or working outside. Very rarely.
Ummm...tell them you'll replace them with a five Y/O who knows how to follow direction? LOL cause IMO that's what makes one responsible; see what needs to be done, not want to do it - and do it anyway - 'cause it needs to be done, regardless of the money. If it's even job stuff we're talking about here. *ponders* Most of the younger workers only work 'because they need the money' and have the cart a bit before the horse. Eh, management work stinks. Mostly because the workers want to get paid for doing as little as possible while grumbling about poor management. Want a raise? Work harder. Finding a good dedicated worker, one who won't say "That ain't ma JOB!" is a rarity. I'll fight tooth and nail with upper management to keep those types in the event of layoffs.
The kids would spend all day in the pool if they could.
Once, then I felt so sorry for it I let it go. I always liked to watch them fly free. Watching fireflies makes me feel happy, for some reason.

Oddly enough, I've been praying about the thankfulness issue a bunch lately - and I'm convinced that most if not all of life's problems could be solved by having a grateful heart. The air you take in through your nose is short frequent bursts. You use your cheeks and not your lungs to keep the resonance going when you breathe in, then go back to using your lungs.
:great:
Hey! Can you do that Chris? My lil bro has been trying to learn how on his sax. :)
:beret:
yeah, he's talented... lol! I think i tried to do it for like 30 min, and still cant get it.

He does have a pretty impressive attitude. And gorilla impression. :REG:
Chris, where did you learn to be a monkey? Oh wait, no tail....um where did you learn to be an ape?
Ash: I agree. He is awesome indeed! I learned this weekend that there are indeed some REAL men left who are GREAT sports with awesome attitudes and real walks with God. I'm still convinced that they are rare, but they DO exist!

Why dont you tell us a little about the events that led up to that picture being taken, Soggy. :up2:
I was sitting in the swing trying to get it as high as I could, when I espied a leaf a foot or so above my highest swing at that point; I decided to touch it with my toe.
I did not. In fact, I almost came out of the swing right there. So I was swinging away with half my bottom out of the seat and a death grip on the chains.
I slowed way down, then decided to jump off - which I did.
Did all right, too until my outer foot rolled and I followed suit.
The pic was snapped as I sat on the ground and noticed the green grass and nice blue water for the zillionth time that day, and felt glad to be alive.
:D
