I'll try to remember my questions.
What do you like most about GP?
If you could have an all expense paid trip to anywhere in the world, where would you go and what would you do?
If you could possibly narrow it down, what is the #1 most important, biggest, most amazing thing Jesus has done in your life in the last year or 2?

i think the thing i like the most is, i can be myself here and not have to pretend i am something i'm not, plus i like the fact that arguments over beliefs are basically not allowed and that folks are just here for fun and fellowship

If you recieved a million dollars, what would you do with it?
Quote from: Tricia Lea on November 09, 2007, 03:42:45 AM
If you received a million dollars, what would you do with it?
finally a question i cant ignore :laughhard:
thats an easy answer, i have always had a dream for a special kind of home, and would build it.
i have always wanted to have a shelter for homeless and abused women and children. then i ran across a story about an elderly lady in Florida, that won a lottery, and she built a home, that she went and took someone from a nursing home, that could really not be there just needed someone to "watch out for them", then she went to orphanages and took unplaced older kids and paired them up with them. each unit was built for those two people.
what i wanted to do was take a homeless person or an older orphan and pair them up with someone else.
i have worked with the crisis center here for many years and see so much i could do if i had the money.
thats a neat idea
I like your idea about what to do with the money. I heard that story just yesterday or day before yesterday on the radio. At least you've given some thought as to what to do with the money. I guess I'll take what's left from mine after paying my debts and add it to yours.

between shell and the nuthouse, what is your favorite job?
they both have their good points and bad points.
if i could get off the weekend/night shift, i would say shell.
the NH is a good job, and not bad most of the time. get a few good laughs out of the elder care side lol
shell is good because i have more contact with the outside world
NH, i just go in do my job and leave. but shell is more a daily thing because it is so close to my house that i have made friends with the other people that work there and tend to go visit if and when i actually have a day off.
but NH pays better.
so hard to say. i like them both for different reasons.
but i also have to add here, that at the NH i find myself going home hurting inside because of some of the things i see there. its heartbreaking to see our older generation having to endure some of the things they do.
so which one is my favorite?

maybe where your going.. you may be a great impact on a bunch of people!!! :)
seriously.. if I could, I would love to go to Japan right now and help those people find the Lord, they have nobody to call on.. thier God is dead - :(
u really want to know where deep in my heart i would love to go?
About not having internet... at least call someone who still does so they can let the rest of us know something.

I already know *grin*
and I think when you get to haiti you'll help alot of people
no not haiti lol
back in 2000 i was homeless after loosing my home while living in louisiana and short story is, i ended up living under a bridge in houston texas.
i met so many people in the 6-7 months i was there. would give anything to go back and give them what i have now. even if it means to have to live with them to do it.
churches down there rarely even get close to this group of people.
people so hungry for God and so open yet no one will talk to them.
/me says: dont get her started tonight
lol but yeah, i am at the point i just want a soul. i missing bringing people to Jesus, watching them hear his word for the first time, watching them get the Holy Ghost.
sick of seeing the saved be preached to and ministered to only.
:end soapbox episode:
wow, awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! ok.. so im wrong its not haiti.... lol
is it......
Clarksville ohio????????? --- well, I dont think we have many homeless people.. my momma might kick me out though! lol
you should just meet me in houston lol save her the time lol

you actually would be surprised how many homeless or almost homeless there would be near you.
well.. i would be surprised, because I live in the middle of no-where lol.. there arent even people around me, let alone homeless people! haha
well i was meaning more your general area, like driving distance even lol
THAT is so very awesome Barb. Nothing is better than a Word from God. All H e l l might be breaking loose but if you have a WORD!
Times like these shows how much God really does know you. Complacent conformists would cower in pride instead of going on the radical ☺ adventure. All that tenacity channelled through God's will is a guaranteed success!

hahah i like that!
yes i cant wait to see what He does! sick of sitting in my house knowing people are dying every day lost and seems no one cares.
been several years since i have shown someone to the feet of Jesus. had a bible study and such.
i am ready!
do you know how proud I am of you? this is going to be so awesome!
hahha i am so excited :hyper:
but will be honest a bit'o panic hit earlier today lol but im over it now lol
/me hugs Chel, Sandra, Clarence, Ruby and Mel.
I wonder if you might be able to help me recover some photos that are on the computer my hubby was using but it kinda died...
more than likely yes.
Linux live cd to the rescue!
Wait... I'm fairly certain I sent a live CD with Chel last time. Ask her to boot from the CD, if the computer's hardware still runs.
If the computer has a hardware problem, you can pop the hard drive out and use an adapter to connect it to another computer's USB port.
But then this is an ask Barb thread, and she's a tech nut too... Hush Isaac.
Have you seen this? It's a screensaver at heart, but it's so much more...
http://electricsheep.org/
i needed that site when i did drugs in the 70's lol
Whoa... trippy man!
I like to see what new patterns have come up in my screensaver since yesterday. Some of them are quite beautiful.
i havent used a screensaver since win3.1 lol
or whenever they came out with a blank screen. :)
Yeah I used a blank screen for the last um... 4 years? 5? Right up until yesterday when I installed this. :D
well have fun with it lol
listening to my fav preaching video, again!
whew i almost have this one memorized. but i am addicted!!!!!
Not the one where that dude was throwing oranges was it?
He kept saying, "It's not about money, it's about Lordship."
hahha no, i so forgot about that message! i need to see if i still have it lol
this one is matt's addicted message lol
Is it online anywhere?
yeah if you click on the "Jesus said go" part in my sig, it takes u to the youtube clip, and there is a link there you can download the entire video

sometimes when i talk to myself about a situation it can help. gives me perspective to hear it from a different angle
at times though when the perspective is the same then it is rather redundant

I'd never :pound: me though. No telling what me would do in retaliation. He's nuts!
Question for Barb: Where do you get your ideas for B and C? And can I get one of those helicopter packs in real life?
I argue with myself lol
it was civil tonight.
:hypocrite:
Babs, my dear, I do believe your little red choo-choo just chugged around the bend. And you weren't on it, either, if you take my meaning. :laughhard:
Isaac, yours apparently left the station years ago. :laughhard:
Weirdos. All of ya. The scary part is, I seem to fit in at this nuthouse better than anywhere else I've been. :o
You DO like coffee right?
5oh you were made for GP lol
Yes mel! I love coffee!

I don't know about that, but my train of thought derailed years ago. No great loss though, it was only a trolley car. :P
