Title: Zamzar
Post by: Sis on October 29, 2007, 07:19:04 PM
Has anyone used Zamzar to convert old discs to new formats. I have a stack of discs that aren't compatable with our new computer and I want to read what's on them. I also have several with pictures on them.

Little did I know that floppys would be replaced so soon, and are useless to me because I can't access what's on them. I threw a bunch away, too. Now I'm sorry I did.

Is Zamzar the way to go? Or is there something out there that's better and free?

what kind of files do your discs have on them?

this one does not have the file size limit that zamzar has

if those dont work, you may can find a utility here that would work

I used Zamzar and it seemed to work ok, just a few too many steps but I can live with that as long as I don't pick up any viruses from the site.
