For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said....

The Purple Fuzzy just shared this in another topic...I really needed it today!!!

James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6.But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7.For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8.A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

I've been wondering about a covenant GOD made with Abraham. I've been wondering if it's been fulfilled or is it a prophecy yet to be fulfilled.

Gen 15:17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
18 In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

Growing up and in study as well to my understanding the decedents of Isaac were considered Abraham's "seed". Yet, I can't find where they ever occupied this large area. What am I missing? Most write it off as including Ishmael's seed but looking at a map that doesn't work either because areas they don't occupy are included. So is there a time the Kingdom of Israel did cover this area or is it a prophecy yet fulfilled?

Psalms 15:

1 (A Psalm of David.) LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

3 He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

5 He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

From talking with my Father;and after a quick personal study...His knowledge of the history, word, and geography...seemly coming up with the same line of thinking as you!   I am of the opinion that it has never been fulfilled.   One because of their disobedience...mainly when he said destroy all, kill all; they chose not to.  Two ...some where; and I am still searching for the verse! Doesn't it say that they( children of Israel) got tired of war and bloodshed; so they ended the conquest! (I'll have to get my Dad to tell me where this text is found at). If you end a conquest...seemingly before all is conquered; therefore you haven't conquered all!?

Still researching...I don't see God rewarding disobedience...maybe he will fulfill it in the future!?

I could be on the wrong track...never studied this subject/questions before!

Colossians Chapter 2

2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.

5 For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Hebrews Chapter 12:
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Romans 12:

16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
