Read this joke and thought of Meller...
Finishing up our work at a trade show in San Diego, my co-worker Maureen and I decided to go sightseeing across the border in Tijuana, Mexico. While there, we went shopping and bought a few pieces of clay kitchenware.
As we crossed back into the United States, a customs official asked if we had anything of value to report.
"Not really," Maureen replied, digging in her bag for the bean crock she had purchased.
Everyone around us froze as she continued, "I only bought a little pot."
I probably would say that too. (http://gfxlovers.com/smilies/imgs/girly/girly025.gif)
One time, we were in bible school of all places (our church ran a correspondence bible school class) and we had photocopies of a sheet of notes that had obviously been pre-loved. Someone had drawn a little pattern in the corner. I called out, loud enough for everyone to hear, "Whose doodle is this?" Oops ;)
What's that have to do with the price of rice in China?
They must not use that term up there where Seth lives.
I can think of two things a "doodle" would be...lol
Does one of them smell bad?
But who did the doodle make her think of? :eyebrow:
I don't think either smell amazing......lol..but one is definitely worse
I can only think of two, and one of them doesn't smell at all. Unless you use a magic marker, which has its own rather pungent smell.
The other kind of course smells much worse, yes.
I knew what you meant from the beginning.
BUT WHAT does this have to do with seeing something that made somebody think of someone!?! :reaction:

His talking about his doodle made me think of my roomie, she's always doodling all over the house.
My step-mother had a dog that doodled all over the house too. I hated that dog. Mostly because when I was visiting my dad over the weekend I'd get up in the morning, walk through the house with no shoes and step in it. Stupid dog.

Sheesh. You people have warped me. The next time I ask someone what they are doing and they say "Doodling..." I'm gonna slap em...

I saw an amish couple in a buggy yesterday on my way home from my moms. It made me think of Seth and his wanting to kidnap one.

See Roscoe, you could have made Rusty a looooowrider.
Actually, another 3 inch drop in the front would probably put rusty about the same height as this truck. I've always liked lowered trucks- they're easier to climb in to. :laughhard: And if Porter sees this, he'll see Sam's future.. :P
Im confused. What kind of grill is that on the front? A GMC?
Quote from: minnesota68 on January 22, 2012, 12:48:30 PM
Im confused. What kind of grill is that on the front? A GMC?
'tis a grill for a '54 or '55 first series Chevrolet. Chevy had a slight makeover in '54- windshield is one piece, dash is different, grill is different, bed is different- where Sam's has angled top rails, '54 and '55 have flat top rails- and carried it through the middle of the '55 model year. '54 and '55 first series, as they are called, differed only in that '55 had a more modern rearend, open with u-joints,like normal trucks and '54 had the closed driveline (torque-tube) like Sam.
The front bumper is modified on that one, and from what I can see, it has older doors on it, because the handles appear to be "turndown" style, not push button. One thing's for sure- it ain't no '52 like the auction claims. :laughhard:
I don't have a picture of it, but I came across a card at work today that "tastes like donuts."
I'm sure no one knows who that made me immediately think of. :P
Inside the card was a little sealed package, in which was a flavor strip to eat - I am assuming kind of like a Listerine strip or whatever.

And I noticed that there was doo on the van window, after I took the pic. There is birds birds birds there at the hosp, and doo is on all the cars if you park there for any amount of time.
Cause I can tell by looking at it it's a goose. Shape of the beak, etc.

I enjoy spinach! Tastes like dirt!
Even Popeye only ate spinach when he absolutely had to. :P
Seriously though, I do like it a bit. Not my all-time favorite food, but a can for lunch isn't too bad.
I like it raw in salads and sandwiches. Not cooked.
Dirt? Canned? Blech.
I like fresh spinach a lot. I'll eat frozen occasionally. I make agood creamed spinach which is just swiss & frozen spinach cooked together. Those 2 flavors mesh well.
We just had spagetti last night. On a bed of fresh spinach. Nathan mixes his in.
I'd rather clean my ears with a soldering iron than eat spinach.
I enjoy it. But it does taste like dirt.
hmmm... maybe I just haven't tried dirt for a long time.
My wife craved dirt when she was pregnant with our daughter due to severe iron deficiency.
And I'm anemic, that makes sense...although I don't think I like the taste of dirt per se, I just like spinach.

Not to mention this recent chat quote:
<dr2chase> As I said to someone else, back when the Lite-Brite Mooninites panicked the Boston Police, the first rule of making a bomb, is to not make it look like a bomb.
<dr2chase> That's why IEDs get buried, stuffed into dead dogs, what have you. Around here, if you wanted to hide a bomb in plain sight, you'd stick it in a crumpled Dunkin Donuts bag.
<anony> Isn't a Dunkin Donuts bag the first place a cop would look?
Something that reminded me of minnesota...
A Cessna pilot was about to take off, when he was told by the control tower to wait because a big DC-8 was coming in for a landing. The DC-8 landed, slowed to a stop, then turned to taxi back past the Cessna.
Somebody in the DC-8 crew fancied himself a bit of a wit, because he got on the com and said to the Cessna pilot, "Cute little plane. Did you build it all by yourself?"
The Cessna pilot wasn't about to take that without a rejoinder. He replied, "Yeah, I made it out of DC-8 parts. Two more landings like the one you just did and I'll have enough parts to make another one."
LOL Nice...Ive done a few of those kinds of landings myself.
This reminded me of Chel. Granted she just carries her chargers with her, but this might be handy on her many, many (many many many many) travels.

(Toledo News Now) -
An ingredient found in many sugar-free gums could be potentially deadly to your pet.
William Fogel is close to the Toledo News Now family. He is a photojournalist at the station, but at home he is a family man who suffered a painful loss after his dog Maggie passed away suddenly.
" came home and found her sitting on the couch just like she normally would be," Fogel said. "She had eaten a package of gum."
Later Fogel and his family noticed Maggie acting tired and not like herself. He and his wife decided if she wasn't feeling better the next morning, they'd take her to the vet. But it was too late.
"Well, the next day we woke up and she wasn't with us," he said.
Maggie ate Orbit gum, which contains Xylitol. It's good for humans who are diabetic or on low-carb diets, and even contains anti-cavity properties, but for dogs, it can be deadly...
cont.
HaHAH Melbs!!! There you go!!! Just leave some Orbit gum out for that rat dog!!
Oh my word.
I have a sudden craving for some gum.
:freaky2:
I cannot condone the action due to my profession. But I can warn you that certain gum and amounts of chocolate can be deadly to you pets.
I know these models are nothing special, but I was driving by the park and saw this and it reminded me of Roscoe so I had to stop and snap a few pics.

 drool:
didn't have much chance to post last night...I had a busy, and slightly productive weekend. But now I'm back at work, and I hate it. :P
Went to sleep for a while last night, woke up for a bit, then couldn't hardly go back to sleep...at least not a restful sleep, my brain wouldn't turn off..... Running 90 mile an hour about anything and everything.... Finally did konk out....but not for long enough.
So far the snow that was forecast was overrated....nothing here yet.
This isn't sharing, Cheesebreath.
Roscoe:  ? Oh well, shows what i know about cars. I didn't think there was anything special because I recognized all the names - camaro, mustang, nova.

Oh yes....the first Nova is high on my bucket list...love it. The second nova not so much.....the Camaro is Awesome and the '55 with the blower.... is all I can say.....Guy's probably got more money in that engine than I have in all of Rusty....
Why's that one guy peeing in the motor of the green one? :hypocrite:
You need one or more of the following:
A: Glasses
B: More medication
C: Less medication
I'm not sure which, and I don't think I really want to know.
Not a fan of the side step bed, but if I could paint it not orange I'd take that old Chevy in the background
I found a CD with this song on it at that pawn shop and it reminded me of a certain guy who likes this kind of music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEECBV0t9U8
Too bad I like this band. The CD was all scratched up. My best computer had to drop down to 0.2 times normal playing speed to get the audio out, and even then it had a few pops I'm having to fix. If I didn't like the music I wouldn't have to be doing this. :smirk2:

I think it'd be great if you kept your top layer of skin this year. :)
Haha! Right! I DO NOT plan to get as crispy as I did last year! That was so aweful!
Guess who this reminded me of.
Yeah, seems like everyone's on prozac these days.

I soooo could use these tonight.
I'm as red as a tomato. Lol
Taco, you crack me up my friend!
I got a little sun this weekend, but NOT like last year. My face is a light pink...not lobster red.
I will be getting some sunscreen soon, and wearing it often. I won't go thru that mess again.
I thought of Roscoe when I saw this:

I stopped for gas yesterday and this truck pulled in behind me. It reminded me of a certain car-nut friend. Yes, I know Bobby, it's "only" a Chevy. Still pretty. Especially the wood paneling in the back.
Speaking of which... I still say it's suspicious that Bobby chose to live so close to a car museum.
Chevy is the best kind!
Isaac-"Only a Chevy?" You know that's ALL I drive... That is a beautiful '47-'50 Deluxe cab Chevy truck. You can tell it's a "Deluxe" cab 'cause of the chrome around the windows and the corner windows. The "five window" cab is very desirable for some...I personally prefer the three window, like Sam, 'cause the corner windows will help cook you... :sadbounce:
Know it's a '47 second series-'50 cause it doesn't have "wing windows" and the door hands are turn down, not push button. '51 had wing windows and turn down handles, '52-53 had wing windows and push button handles...like Sam. The red and silver colors, while not original, look good on it in my opinion.
And for a bit more useless trivia on it- :P- It's been subframed- the front wheel track is a little wider than stock, and it's running 5 hole wheels. Original had six hole. The wheels are off of an '84-'87 ish Silverado/GMC and are "Rallye wheels"....probably the same truck the subframe is from. I'd bet it is a V8 Auto and drives like a new truck down the highway..
Thank you, Mr Chevy Encyclopedia.

This made me think of Brandon. Any old truck we see. I say oooh it's pretty. He tells me what year, what engine, how long it was made, when the body style changed, etc etc. But then cannot tell me where he left his car keys or what he had for lunch...... :smirk2:
This one made me think of our very own ex-pat.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/heres-law-thats-driving-record-193226792.html
Who?
Adina, I'm assuming. :)
:beret:
Yea, verily.
Oh.
Except she hasn't renounced her citizenship or anything.
Huh? On her website it referred to her as an ex-pat...
What is an ex-pat? Thats why I didnt know who you were talking about. I was out of the loop on this lingo.
I think the term is used more loosely than it used to be. It seems to be referring to living in another country lots of times. I'm sending her the link to this thread so that maybe she will respond.
This made me think of MY: http://tv.greenmedinfo.com/texas-cops-raid-farm-commune-mistaking-tomato-plants-for-marijuana/
Yeah, we use it the way it is defined here: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/business-english/expatriate_1?q=expat
"someone who does not live in their own country: 'A large community of expatriates has settled there.'"
Saw this and it reminded me of a certain friend of ours...
http://www.gocomics.com/arloandjanis/2015/04/29
I would say who, but why bother stating the obvious?
 yup.
Saw a giant pixy stick... :) :(
