Wait, did you say the water line is buried on top of the sewer line... and the whole mess is less than four inches from the surface?

Man, just being aware of that could make your coffee taste funny...

Ouch, Chel. I totally understand- we are trying to get it to dry out enough to get a dump truck back in the back yard to fill in the low spots over our field line, which will fix the issue with our septic.  Meanwhile, my much babied BadBoy mower is smoking like Willie Nelson on a weekend in Jamaica, the drain on the A/C  was stopped up, and work stinks. Especially today since they fired our  drug court counselor, and I had to escort him out. Difficult as he had started coming in to my office and seemed to feel I was his closer friend at work.. :sadbounce:

We went to a neighboring town to get a couple things. While we were there the storm hit. We were sitting at a red light and the wind started shaking the truck. We just got through the light and we heard a big boom. Either lightning struck right by us or a transformer blew right there. We went a few more yards and trees & electrical lines were down everywhere. Red lights are out in most of the town. We had to reroute a couple times to get back home. Thankfully, when we got home  the only issues seem to be a couple of HUGE tree limbs down. Thankful for mercy & grace from God.

And thank God for the tree limbs not hitting the house. Or the cabin. Or that building between them. Or...

In local news:

OFFICER: "Sir do you know why I stopped you today?"

ME: "Well if you don't know I'm certainly not reminding you!"

OFFICER: "Step out of the vehicle sir."

Why do all my conversations with police officers end with step out of the vehicle?  :-\

If that's the end, you are in good shape. Trust me, there's MUCH more to interaction if it's bad..lol.
Spent ALL day in court. All day. Like from 9am until 545, with one little break for lunch. Left work, went straight to church and taught bible study.

We are spending the morning picking up sticks & big tree limbs out of the yard. I'm ready for some sunshine but moderate temperatures. (Not sunshine & hot)
;)

It was a beautiful day today. I spent most of it at work. Wound up working late, as usual, because of someone other than my self's stupidity. Went by the church since tonight is prayer meeting. I hope pastor doesn't mind, but instead of driving ALL the way back up town every Thursday night, I just go by on the way home, have my prayer time and go home. Ready for the weekend, although I have nothing I HAVE to do..

I leave tonight for my parents house for Mothers Day weekend! Jeremy's staying home due to work/church/his mom.

I'm also in need of a nap. Had some skin stuff taken care of yesterday, and not enjoying the aftermath, haha.

The Purple Fuzzy

Have fun at your mom's house, Nelle.

Well, it's very cloudy but not raining. Thankfully. It's also 66*, which is awesome! :bigcheese:

Nelle

I got to wear one of my newer sweaters today thanks to the cooler weather! I wasn't sure I'd get to wear it until the fall, but it was a wind chill of like 47 when I left this morning for work, so I busted it out!

I think I have mentioned before that I use the world's smallest android phone, the Unihertz Jelly. (Why "Jelly" for a hard plastic phone smaller than an altoids tin? Dunno.) It is a real smartphone though, runs Android 8.1, does all the standard smartphone tricks like wifi hotspot, etc.

Recently I found a "rugged" version, the Unihertz Atom. Looks like the Jelly in a really small otterbox, basically. Waterproof, dustproof, gorilla glass, all that. I found one used on ebay... Wait, what? They just came out with this and there's already one on ebay used?

I placed a bid on it but I also sent a question to the seller. Is there something wrong with it? The seller said no, there's nothing wrong with the phone itself. Her husband got this phone as his first smartphone, but he really didn't like it so he went back to his flip-phone.

*facepalm squared, maybe cubed*

If you had never used a smartphone before, can you imagine using THIS as your first one ever?

I said yeah, I can imagine he hated it. That probably put him off using smartphones for the rest of his life.

Definitely small. LOL.
Hi all. I'm tired of rain.
Went to Conway today, did a little grocery shopping, came back home and cooked so Lou would have a good meal when she got off of work. I NEED to go work on cleaning up the shop, but my motivation is missing...

We're actually supposed to get some sunshine tomorrow. One can only hope. :shine:

Not missing, just smaller. I resized it to fit in my phone.

What? A phone that small is like the little engine that could. It needs all the motivation it can get.

It's nice out. Supposed to get up to 77* here.

Roscoe

And.....it IS beautiful today. Stepped outside while on lunch. Bad mistake. If I didn't have people scheduled I'd be sick and go home.

Sleepy at work.

Going to eat dinner tonight with an old friend from Arkansas. He lives in that horrid city you guys talked about (Little Rock).. LOL. He's up here for work and we haven't seen each other in a couple of years. Hopefully Jeremy will get to come since this is also one of our favorite restaurants. I cannot WAIT to eat some sushi! Yummm..

Made a breakfast casserole last night so we could have breakfast foods ready to eat quick in the morning (with a little help from a microwave of course). Deliciouuuuus. :) I wanted to eat more, but I figured I'd better save some for breakfast tomorrow and Thursday haha. Next one I try will be the sausage balls. They were yummy too. I probably need to bake some blueberry scones for Jeremy, but I'll wait until the muffins are all gone first. (That's one perk to having those Muffins for Moms events! LOL)

Ready for lunch. I made tuna broccoli bake last night for supper while I was preparing that breakfast casserole. I LOVE tuna broccoli bake and tuna patties, but Jeremy would love to live without them. This means more for me. :)

You been in the Nawth too long girl. We don't eat bait here in Arkansas! Fish is supposed to be fried and served in unhealthy doses with hushpuppies, sliced onion, and green tomato pickles, along with French fries. :pound:

In sharing, Got home last night and just felt a bit down. Fired up Rusty and went on a nice drive. Felt the need to go see my friend Brent, so I did. Turned out he needed to talk too. We hopped in Rusty and meandered around a while, and both of us felt better for it when we pulled back in. Thankful for God's little whispers and a friend to talk to.

When I get home tonight, I'm pulling the doors and windows off the Jeep. It's Jeep weather! I love this- it could remain in this weather pattern from now on and I'd not complain.

LOL I haven't even regular fried fish (other than tuna/salmon) in years. It's always grossed me out. I loved it when I was little and especially with tartar sauce. I have had mahi mahi and swai fish tacos, and I really like those. :)

The sushi I eat usually involves crab or tuna. Our favorite where we are going tonight, they also just barely deep fry the outsides of the roll. It's so good.

I'm a little chilled here in the office. The a/c keeps turning on. I'm going to have to turn my heater on soon if my hands don't thaw.

Home from New Hampshire. I walked the stage and graduated.

I'm SUPER glad to be back to my WARM, sunshiney state.

We went to Massachusetts (Boston), New Hampshire (and the New Hampshire coast) and even went to Maine. You can hit all 3 states in about 3 hours lol.

But I was done sharing a hotel room with my parents on day 1. Lawd the snoring that occurs between the two of them. :nono:

I love seafood. Haven't ever tried sushi though. I had the most delicious clam chowddaa in the Nawth though. So good.

Congrats!

Also, I'm shocked that you've never tried sushi! Of course - I shock people that I DO like sushi, LOL. I'm apparently perceived as the ultimate picky eater for some reason. I find it hilarious and irritating, because I eat lots of foods the ones who tease me won't even eat. Like.. sushi.. hummus.. lima beans.. black eyed peas... gumbo... etc. Ohhhh well. :) Granted - I can't bring myself to try chowder. Jeremy LOVES corn chowder I think.. but just the word 'chowder' makes me think of powdery white textured of sawdust soup, and I for some reason can't get past that. Maybe one day I'll grow up. ;)

I would assume if you like seafood, you'd like sushi. I don't eat much seafood (crab considered that probably?) with the exception of crab and if you consider tuna a seafood, haha. I think it's all about picking the right place to try it tho. I won't just eat it anywhere, haha. I trust a couple of restaurants and that's about it. I do crave it a lot now tho.. all it takes is mentioning the name of the restaurant we are going to tonight, and I crave it. Maybe they put something in their food.. LOL.
