Yep. It's been in the news a lot lately. We sure could use it. But then who (besides the rich) couldn't?

I think it'd be wonderful! It seems like they're going to put it into effect, too. I could wait until May or June for it.

It's nice, but I can hardly see where a one-time rebate will stimulate the economy beyond the first month. DUHHHHHH. Tax cuts would do more to stimulate the economy long-term.

This is true..but I think Bush is maybe trying to have a not so bad ending to his presidency maybe.

I think tax cuts should come with the new president so that there will be a good chance of them staying constant for a while.

i'll save mine for a few months and stimulate the economy later on... there! its more than the first month now! lol!

Well, Bush had implemented a tax cut that's about to expire. The "other side" wants to raise taxes.

I think we should have both the tax cuts and the rebate. That'd make me a happy camper :)

I was looking at my boyfriend's W-2 form the other day and I could not believe how much more taxes were taken out of his than mine! (He lives in Michigan..) I'm definitely not looking forward to that..

2. To do all I can within the confines of legal process to get every single illegal alien out of the country.
3. To pardon anyone convicted of violating the "rights" of illegal aliens.
4. To ok plural marriage.

Amelia is the brunette, Sunlight is the redhead, and I thought Sippin Tea was the blonde... I guess she is light brown.

As for age... if you add them all together it works :-)

i am protesting the nomination of world traveler because he CLEARLY discriminates against older women.  all of the women he wanted for first ladies are well below the median age of people who are middle aged and bapkas.  i feel that if he were to be president there would be a war of economic proportions waged by the women he would allow first to decorate, rearrange and otherwise order china for the white house.  besides, if he had three first ladies, he would be unbalanced - two on one side and one on the other.

VOTE NO!

sunlight, you can't delete comments.  the papparazi will come along and take pics of what they thought you said and make it into something else and photoshop a pic of you and WT and next thing you know you'll be living in an apartment in brussels!

come on.  fess up.  what was the rest of the comment?

by the way, in an effort to get us back on track, i think that lani's suggestion that seth begin buying presents for those of us in line ought to carry over here.

seth?  if you need some cash for those presents you're going to buy for me and lani and leah, the government is stepping up to the plate to help you.  :pwink:  isn't that nice?

It's not a "rebate".  It's borrowing  from as yet "unpaid" taxes from future years (and generations).

........... essentially, then, ..... it's STEALING!    (which is something that governments excel in), ..... or, ... at best, ... it's a con job.   (something else that governments excel in)

so if he went home to answer the phone and has not yet returned, it can be surmised that he is no longer an illegal alien.  of course, that was several years ago so he might also no longer be single, but it's hard to know for sure.
