Today I was trying to upload an instrumental piece I had recorded and it would not upload; wrong file type.  So I tried to convert this music and my conversion program could not find it.  My son figured out that the problem was the file had no file extension; it's not mp3 or wav or anything.  How could this happend and can it be fixed?  Changing the file name doesn't do it.  Any ideas?

what did you record it in? try renaming it with .wma and see if it works. alot of programs record as wma.
