   U.S. Army Sergeant Gene F. Clark is coming home to Muncie Indiana.
   Missing in Action from the Korean War for more than half a century, his
remains have been identified, and he is to be buried, with full military
honors, June 28 in Muncie.
   He was assigned to part of the 1st Cavalry Division that, in September  1950,
that was holding a defensive position along the Nammyon River near a
bend called the "Camel's Head."
   November 1, 1950, elements of two Communist Chinese divisions
struck the 1st Cav's lines, which collapsed the perimeter and forced a
withdrawal.
   Clark was one of more than 350 servicemen that could not be
accounted for from the Battle of Unsan.
   Foresnic identification tools and circumstantial evidence were used in
the identifying of Clark's remains. Army representatives met with the
sergeant's next-of-kin to explain the process, and to coordinate burial
with military honors, on behalf of the Secretary of the Army.
