I go back to work Monday after a mostly boring vacation. Went yesterday to get my W2 and found out one of the guys in my department and his girlfriend are out with Covid. We're supposed to be getting up to 7 inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. I have the feeling the only church we'll have tomorrow is a video from Pastor on Facebook which I won't be able to access.

Roscoe

Hello. Yeah, let the thread run. And it is raining here today. Very blah. Nothing constructive being done here other than actually catching up on rest.
I need to go to church and swap the guts out on one of the toilets. I'll probably do that in a little bit.
I need to be out working on the corvette or on Sam's parts...but- blah.

 Praying.
Went to church, good move of God.
Back at work. Had to dash out to the house for lunch- mail lady changed vehicles and tried to deliver a registered letter. She or someone with her rattled the door knob. Unbeknownst to them, Chey is home. She didn't recognize the vehicle.  She called me crying. She had ran back to the bedroom and grabbed a .45 and told me she was hiding in the washing machine closet off the dining room and if they came inside she was gonna shoot every round.
Mail lady don't know how close she came to shaking hands with Jesus today......

Wow. I'm not sure why they would rattle the knob. That's extremely odd. You are supposed to just knock and if they don't answer, you mark it and leave. That's so odd.

@Work. Sleepy. Ate ravioli for lunch and a chocolate chip cookie (or two) for dessert.

As I was riding down the trail to Santa Fe
I met a pretty girl along the way
I said have we met before
Then she drew her .44
So I tipped my hat and slowly rode away
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

@Work again. Interesting life huh? :)

Had to pull out the humidifier last night. This allergies/sinus stuff is getting so old. Went and got the regular medicine I normally take instead of what I have been taking (off the shelf b/c I didn't want to go to the pharmacy). Hopefully that will kick it back to where it came from.

Back at work. Fixing to go to court via ZOOM

OOM. I'm tired as can be. Slept good last night, but it was trying to make up for the night before, I guess, when I stayed up until midnight to register for Bariatric surgery. The state has a program once a year where they take limited numbers of people for the program and it fills up quickly. It opened at midnight, so I stayed up to make sure I had got in. Something has to give...lol

:hi: Pretty day but cool.
I'm glad it's not raining.

Nelle

@Work.

Feeling a little 'off' this week. Hoping it goes away so that I won't have to go to the doc. No symptoms that match anything going around.

Supposed to be extremely cold this weekend. Not looking forward to that, but I cannot wait to sleep in on Saturday haha.

Man. Busy and forgot to check in today. Had church tonight. Met a new friend that has started a church plant in Russellville about 30 miles from me. Seems to be a good guy..
And I'm tired of cold. I want pretty weather again. I define pretty as 70 or warmer and sunny.
Wishing today was friday. Or tomorrow was friday. Sadly- neither is...:sadbounce:

It's 73 here today. Fairly cloudy but nice. Supposed to be back in the 20s by Wednesday.

Temperature here is supposed to go down below zero next week.

Howdy y'all.

In local news, I have dropped into the habit of making a pot of boiled custard every Wednesday.

Yesterday I decided to add orange oil and cinnamon to it. Delicious!

Next week I think I'll try almond extract. Because vanilla is okay, but after a while you wanna try other stuff.

@Work. Going to the doctor on Monday for my ailments/checkup. Hoping to schedule some blood work as well just to get everything checked out. I do feel some better today than I did like Monday, but not 100% yet. Hoping that it's gone away a LOT more by Monday otherwise they'll kick me out and send me to COVID testing, haha. I don't have any other issues except for a type of shortness of breath tho. No fever, no pains, I can still smell/taste, etc. I'm also going to get prayed for on Sunday at church, so.. fingers crossed, haha.

I busted the latch on my screen door last night. The wind had blown freezing rain into the door freezing the latch. Gave the thing a smack with the palm of my hand to break the ice and broke more than just the ice. Had to rig something to tie the screen door shut so the wind wouldn't catch it and rip it off the hinges.

Doing ok here. How are you & the family?

Roscoe

Morning all. Enjoying Saturday although it is cool. Slept in. Now considering getting up and running to Russellville to go see about buying a roast or the like to cook for dinner. I've got two freezers full of meat and can't find the one cut I crave. LOL

Two freezers full of meat... you can pull anything out of there, stick it in a crock pot and call it a roast.

We are good.  I feel like we are moving through this process like molasses in February at some points, and like whitewater at others.

@Work.

Going to a doctor appointment this afternoon for my ailments. Praying she can actually figure out what's going on without me having to go to 100 specialists. I'm currently more concerned that they're going to cancel my appointment when I get there and make me go get COVID tested even though I don't have any other symptoms of anything. Plus we apparently have the chance at a huge winter situation starting this evening. So.. joy. :)  I just need to be on the road to better because I'm not sure I can handle another week feeling this way. I've gone from worrying I'm having a heart attack to having pneumonia to having extreme anxiety to a prolapsed mitral valve to who knows what.. LOL. The danger/joys of online articles to try to figure out what is going on. I typed out a whole 10 paragraphs explaining what I've been feeling and all so that I won't forget to tell her something.
