"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

sure lol

ok this may sound stupid but I am going to hare something I cant get off my mind.

Reading the story of the prodigal son got me thinking about this. We read how the Father welcomed the son with open arms But it also tells of the other brother who did not feel the prodigal brother worthy because he wasn't faithful to the father the whole time.
We pay so much attention to the fallen and returning son but I think the other part is just as important. Could Jesus also be using this to warn us that though He welcomes us back others are not so welcoming and at some times downright discouraging. It just seems so often thats what we see and I think its good to emphasize the second part to encourage those that though others might reject but God is stil there with open arms

just something I been thinking on
sorry to ramble

Now when the shepherd found the lost sheep
Wandering from the fold
In loving arms he held him
He did not blame or scold
We could learn a lesson
That would make our efforts blessed
Our message and our methods
Must be filled with tenderness

Jesus built this church on love, on love
That's what it's all about
Trying to get everybody saved
Not to keep anybody out
Doors wide open and just as big
As the Father's heart above
I'm glad He said whosoever will
Jesus built this church on love
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."
