Ok guys...who is going to GC in Tampa Fl this year?
I dont know if I am going to get to go, but I was wondering who all was gonna come here for GC?
ALJC General Conference is in Indianapolis. Everybody should go to that one. :demand:

that's over 1200 miles of driving for me, I don't think I can squeeze it into a weekend.

I don't even know we had one. But then again I have only been going to an ALJC church for a little over a year. lol

I wish I could this year, but seeing I had already made a trip through that area once this year, I won't be able to get off for conference.. Oh well, I plan to be at national youth convention though in nashville!

I'm with her. Day sessions are boreing all the meetings and elections however, the nights are fun.

I really love GC, but I guess it's because I have friends from all around the world that I seldom get to see. *smile* GC is one of the few times when a number of them are in the same place at the same time. ;)

I have never been, Im sure the day sessions are boring, but if you dont wanna go to that, you could always do somthing else while there, and just attend the evening services.

it IS in tampa.... go to Bush Gardens or something during the day ;) i'm thinking Holy Land Experience is there, or someplace really close, also. Disney would only be about an hour away, but you'd prolly end up missing the night services, lol!

Depending on the mood or how tired I am, I sometimes like to go do other things, explore, or whatever. But shopping is NOT something fun to do on vacation. It's something you do when you need to, or absolutely have to. :smirk2:

Yeah i know i want to sing in the FL mass choir to but i dont know that i can cause i don't live in florida anymore.... although i should be able to cause that's where my home church is at and i am just away for college. Mel if you go you should sing in the FL Mass choir... maybe i could sneak up there with you guys.
susan gave me some inside info last night too..... one of the songs we're doin is "I want it all back" by Tye Tribbet (i think i got that title right, lol) :clap:
I love the words to that song, but the version I've heard I just don't care for the style. I'm sure a choir could definitely do it justice, it probably wouldn't sound so "raw" that way. :great:

okay. back on topic.
i will not be at GC, but wish i could be at least for the FMD service. for those of us not going, don't forget about the live feed over the internet. a couple of years ago i was watching the FMC service online and it was almost like being there. at the altar call a particular young man was the focus of the camera for a couple of minutes, obviously being called by God to do something. i prayed for him - honestly - it was like being there. a bit later, i met him and his wife and have since become good friends. ah, the days of modern technology!

I won't be going to the UPCI General Conference nor the ALJC General Conference.
UPCI conference is way too far away for me to be able to go and I wouldn't be able to get the time off work since I've not been there a year yet.
ALJC Conference I won't be going too cause I dont care to hear my dad go on and on about how bad the aljc is and how I don't need to get myself messed up with that group - even though he's ok with the local aljc that I currently attend :-?
