That's why I don't bother with it. I know mine should probably be double what it says it is. I kinda wish it was accurate, then I'd care.

When we prune old threads, post counts will drop. Nothing we can do to fix it at this time.

Rev. Matt  hasn't posted in a very long time... that is weird that his count is still that high!

how is it we dont loose post count but only sometimes when threads are deleted? and not all?

just wondering

If he was here when we used phpbb, that's probably why. Everyone's post counts were moved over from phpbb, so nobody's should drop below what they were before the software switch.

I think it's because he hasn't posted in a long time so his count shouldn't be that high.

Depends on how they were deleted...one of the mods said once before that if they are deleted a certain way, no one loses post counts, but other ways, then they do.

Yeah, I wish they were deleted the right way.....it plays havoc on those of the OCD nature to know it's not accurate.   :(

Deleting the "right" way has to be done one topic (or at best one board) at a time. So, obviously, pruning old topics would be a pain to do the "right" way. :teeth:

Really, though, post count has nothing to do with GP "seniority".. A person could quickly reach a zillion posts and still be a newbie to me. I'm out of the loop! :biglaugh:

Nobody asked you, Hula Hunny.

Let me prune them then, I'll prune them the right way.  *sniff*   :sadbounce:

But cheezie doesn't have the POWER to do it properly. Only B and J and S do.

Maybe in addition to a person's post count beneath their name, GP should display how long the person has been a member.  :D

in the end what does a post count and seniority get ya? enjoy what God has given you today. as for myself i just enjoy the conversation, the laughter and the freindship. seniority and post count means zip to me.
but that is what makes things interesting, people have a different opinion on everything.

in regard to my posts, i feel that if a person can take a ribbing and critisism they are highly thought of by me and those are the ones i like to talk to. aint that right sis.hahahahaha :laughhard: :laughhard:

I'm offended - I demand an apology!

(I'll let you know what I'm offended about, as soon as I figure it out.)

Sense of inner Peace - The true Redneck is at-peace with the world.  They always feel safe (not just because they have guns in every room of their home), and they are not concerned with what others may think of their Redneck lifestyle.
