Post by: Dew-Ax-238 on February 24, 2012, 08:37:02 AM
In the next few weeks I am to teach a Bible Study on the Mote & the Beam.

I need some idea's on how to teach it and also what does the word Beam really meaning in this verse?

Mote = speck of dust
Beam = a beam, like a big stick

Which puts it all in perspective when applied to the scripture in question.  How can someone with a stick in his eye say "Here, let me help you get the speck of dust out of your eye"?

Or to put it another way, how can a guy who is having an affair with another man's wife say, "I can tell you how to handle it when you're tempted to smoke"?
