If a guy talks to a girl about some other girl he is potentially interested in, does that mean that he would never consider dating you?

yes- a guy doesnt talk about other girls if he is interested in you
no- he is being honest about his feelings, and could be using it as a sounding board.
no- he only does it to test you or to get your reaction
yes- its a sure sign he is not interested, and trying to let you down easily

It was a good bump, lol, and as far as the topic goes, it is always a possibility, depending on who you are in relation to the guy...

same here John..

And its quite possible that this has been said already since I haven't read the whole thing :) ...

But lets just say I liked a guy..and he comes to me talking about another girl..what exactly would I be expected to think? If hes into HER...and telling ME about it ..well theres my answer.

That would be a complete...heartbreaking day of twitterpatedness ...lol

I didn't re-read the thread, John.  Just bumped it for the poll and the first page of stuff to remind/tell/prove to someone that guys don't always mean what you think they mean.  Now I probably need to go back and read it all again.  Hmmm...

Simply meant that if a guy is talking to a girl about other girls, it could mean something... or it could mean nothing at all, it depends on what the status of your friendship is at the time.

Are you just casual friends, or have you been best friends for a lonnnnggg time.

He may be using you as a sounding board because he doesn't want to just ask you what you think of the said girl.

Or he may be trying to get your reaction to what he is telling you, because he really is interested in you...

Guys dont, and neither do gals all the time either... both are relatively confusing at times... lol

I'm becoming aware of the fact that I rather like straightforwardness and lack of games.

Can someone please enlighten freaky2? :smirk2:
Have you slapped that one dude from Indiana with a pie in the face today?

RainbowJingles

If it's the right freaky2, he'll figure it out on his own soon enough.

SippinTea

:spitlaugh: Oh my poor dear Melody friend...

I shouldn't laugh. But I can't quite help it. ;)

Sooo... next time you're in a group (and he's there, too) casually start a conversation about the silly games people play in relationships, and how you really prefer straightforward and honest stuff. *grin* Mr Freaky2 SHOULD pick up on it... unless he's really Mr Clueless. ;)

Or just take a group of friends stargazing, and then walk off by yourself, and see if he follows...!  It has worked before...   :laughhard:

You're stating, on the record, that there was NO premeditation on your part, Lady Wooby?
