Yesterday I had some extra time before heading to work and decided to look at my log on McAfee (It runs a scan every Friday morning and happened to still be up). I noticed A LOT of activity on it by others and had no idea what some of the statements McAfee was using meant. I hope someone here can help me out. Below are some of the things I found:

*A computer at 60.190.81.203 has attempted an unsolicited connection to TCP port 2967 on your computer.
There are a lot of these. Always seem to be different computers and different ports. Sometimes UDP ports with different numbers and such. Some actually leave names such as ns1.broadband support.net, Microsoft-SQL-Server, or Sun Cluster Manager.

*A compuer at 10.28.224.1 has pinged your computer. The source IP is a "non-routable" IP.
There are lots and lots of pings, whatever those are.

My log shows 101 pages of pings and unsolicited connection attempts. What exactly are these?
There is no statute of limitations on murder or bad first impressions.

I am enjoying my second childhood.
It is a lot of fun.
I have money this time!!
