WHAT do you love?

1:GOD
2:Elona
3:Family and Friends

The rest in random order:
Seeing new things in Bible stories I have heard a 1000 times. That usually blows my mind.
Norman Rockwell Paintings
Unique Coffee Cups
Old Cars
Winter
Books! They somehow relax me just being around them. Sometimes I just like to sit in a room full of books not reading just relaxing.
The mountains.
Old Things and Places

There are a few... What about you?

"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

God, wife and family are obvious!

I enjoy:

Reading
Collecting books and Comic books
Guns - love to shoot and collect
Music - I play a number of instruments and enjoying listening to music
Traveling
Photography
Cooking
Writing: I am working on one book right now and will be writing a cook book aimed at men.

"I find your lack of faith disturbing." (Vader)

People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf (Orwell and Churchhill)

The Never Ending Battle

Family dinners.
Sitting on the porch with my cat purring in my lap.
Sitting down with a pound of dark cherries and wiping the whole bag out.  Yum!
Family dinners.
Helping a "not a computer person" friend with a computer problem.
Finding a thrift store/pawn shop/used bookstore with a CD collection I haven't yet raided.
Family dinners.
Doing stuff around the church with other church folks.  They're almost as crazy and fun to be around as my family.
Blue Bell ice cream.  Best I've ever found.
Tinkering in the kitchen and surprising myself with the result.  "Hey, it's actually edible!"
Did I mention family dinners?  My family is almost all good cooks, but I still like the company more than the food.
Having so much music.  Christian music is my first line of defense against all the negative gossip at work.
Surprising people with something I know they will like.
Finding free programs that work better than what everyone else is using.
Being able to recommend a free program for what a friend needs to do. :D

Which reminds me... does it seem odd to anyone else that the acronym for Windows Media Player is WiMP?  :teeth:
"Do you sing at church?"

1) God
2) Wife, Kiddo, and family
3)Pastor and church family, friends
4) Books. I can read almost any genre, I've loved reading since I was four. I can curl up with a good books and be transported to where ever the book is set, to the point people sitting next to me have to shake me to get my attention.
5) Antique vehicles, especially, but  almost ANY auto will catch my attention.
6) Harleys, specifically, but any bike
7) Cooking, with an emphasis on baking. Probably not the best at it, but I enjoy it.
8) Ham Radio. Why talking to someone I don't know and will never meet fascinates me, I have no idea- but I get a thrill everytime I talk to someone in another land and another culture.
9)Guns.
10) Flea markets/pawnshops...
11) The Hinsons. And any gospel music that- and I know I'll be blasted for describing it like this- has a whiskey  soaked sound to it. Bonus points for crying steel guitars. Basically, if Lady Ruby and Jenn barf over the music, I will be enjoying it. :hypocrite:
12) Godplace. My online refuge where I vent and share more than I ever will on facebook, and probably more than I do in person.:smirk:
Potstirrer and snoop extraordinaire   "I have friends in overalls whose friendship I would not swap for the favor of the kings of the world."- Thomas Edison

Wow. You have your own mountains? I'm impressed. ;)

I love (besides God, husband, my kids, family):

Books and reading.

Cats.

Spring and fall. Summer too if it doesn't get into the 90s too much.

Italian food.

Southern food.

Cooking.

Working on my family tree. Especially when I find pictures or stories.

Beautiful libraries.

Old European buildings.

Gospel/worship music.

Church and anointed preaching.

The beach. Southport/Oak Island being my favorite.

Foreign accents.

When you say "Jesus" you've said everything.

Heather

by my mountains i mean my area of the Appalachian Mountains. East Tennessee/Western North Carolina/Southwest Virginia. I have yet to find mountains as pretty as mine.

Ah. :D I live in NC and love going to the mountains. They are beautiful. :) My mom, my kids, and I went to Boone, Blowing Rock, and Grandfather Mountain a couple weeks ago.

Melody

I've YET to see the Smokey Mts. and I'd really like to!

Things I love:  Besides Jesus, Husband, kids, church
In no particular order:

Laughter

Botanical Centers

Karen Carpenter's voice

Stormy warm weather with high winds right before it rains.

Knee socks and footies

Sunshine

swimming, though it's been years

the still kid-like softness of Hannah's hands and that she still likes to hold mine like we are best friends, occasionally.

Andrew still giving me a kiss on the cheek nearly every day.

Deep discussions with my kids.

Coming up beside someone, gently slipping my arm in theirs and praying with them at the altar.  It's got to be the right moment though.

Tickling my giant of a husband till he can't hardly breathe.

Amaretto tea.

19 and 20th century period movies.

Seeing people improve their health and the light bulb come on.

Running barefoot in the grass

Climbing trees when no ones looking

Hiking

When someone crosses over from their struggle to their testimony and the zeal of sharing it w/o a shred of condemnation.

Roasted Turkey legs.  I won't eat them at fairs or in front of people though, it's sooo not attractive.. LOL

Fireplaces

true Church mothers

those music greeting cards with the 2 rabbits

.... that's enough.  Goodness there is so much in this life to enjoy!

Yeah, what she said.  I can understand being down occasionally (life happens) but I do not understand perpetual grumps.  Too much in this life to enjoy, ain't got time for complaining all the time. :D

What fairs sell roasted turkey legs though?  I've never seen them at fairs here.  Maybe it's a regional thing.

The Purple Fuzzy

Lots of fairs around here.  Even some trades days sell them.
