Exodus 9:13-21

King James Version (KJV)

13 And the Lord said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

14 For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.

15 For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

16 And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

17 As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?

18 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.

19 Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

20 He that feared the word of the Lord among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:

21 And he that regarded not the word of the Lord left his servants and his cattle in the field.

13 ΒΆ Then the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go that they may serve me.

14 For otherwise this time I will send all my plagues upon thine heart and upon thy slaves and upon thy people that thou may know that there is none like me in all the earth.

15 For now I will stretch out my hand that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence, and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

16 For in truth I have placed thee to declare my power in thee, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

17 Thou even so dost exalt thyself against my people that thou wilt not let them go.

18 Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.

19 Send therefore now and gather thy livestock and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

20 He that feared the word of the LORD among the slaves of Pharaoh made his slaves and his livestock flee into the houses;

21 and he that did not regard the word of the LORD left his slaves and his livestock in the field.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

13 This has been several times by Moses, he went o Pharaoh to tell Him the message of God yet Pharaoh did not listen. We should carry out God's instructions as believers even if we don't see the results; we should do as He says just because He says.

14 God is no longer will to send messages thru plagues but send destruction on Egypt for not listening to the warnings and not follow God's instruction. God was shown thru His power by sending the plagues.

15 God could have just removed Israel but He made more of a point and made Israel willing to be loyal to Him, at least for a time.

16 Egypt was raised up to show God's power to the world. There were some people even forty years later feared Joshua because God was leading Him. God is on our side as believers, we should follow His ways because they are better than our ways.

17 Egypt had mistreated Israel, God's chosen people and this would not go unpunished, we as believers will be wronged because Christ was hated, we will be avenged one day.

18 Hail will come down. Hail destroys crops. Hail can be destructive. Hail can total everything around, destroy homes kill animals. This was the worst hail storm ever which means that the hail stones would have been the larges they ever have been. They would have been larger than golf balls and may have been as big as soft balls. This storm would go on longer than other hail storms. It would destroy and destroy, there would be nothing left for the hail to destroy after the storm had finished.

19 Egypt had a chance t be saved from this destruction if they showed a little faith in God's word, which was given by Moses. God always allows a time for believers to turn and accept His word but that time is often short.

20 Egypt was given the same warning and some listened because of the strength they God had showed thru the other plagues.

21 They are some who will not listen to the warning and they will receive God's wrath in full because of them not having any faith.
The Lord made a Way.
