Just curious if anyone knows anything about this.
What kind of civilian jobs are in the navy that would allow a person to be on a ship?
The recent article about the fire on the USS John Stennis brought this to mind. Among those injured in the fire it listed marines, enlisted, officers, etc. and also stated two civilians were injured.
The only time I remember a civilian being on our ship during a deployment was one time when we had a teacher on board. I do not recall what he taught.
Does anyone know of any other shipboard civilian jobs in the navy?
There is no statute of limitations on murder or bad first impressions.

I am enjoying my second childhood.
It is a lot of fun.
I have money this time!!

Marry, divorce, marry someone new, divorce, marry again, divorce, marry again... Polygamy on the installment plan.

Aren't NCIS agents  and some JAG positions technically civilians?

Here is a link that talks about civilian positions with the JAG Corps.
