Mind you, I don't particularly mind listening to someone who has a problem and needs to talk. I'm a semi-pro listener. But there is a fine line between listening to a problem and listening to every single little thing that (some people think) is wrong in the church. I'm fairly certain they don't expect ME to fix it - I didn't cause the things they think are wrong, I do not have the power to fix them (assuming they really are wrong) and I would be very much out of place if I stepped in to try to fix them. I think sometimes people just like to find (or invent) faults so they will have something to complain about. If they get to heaven they're going to be very bored with everything too perfect to complain about anything.
And I know, I know, now I'm complaining about the complainers.
I think I'm disgusted with humans for the moment. Maybe I'll go talk to my dogs for a while. They appreciate good things and have the sense to avoid what they find unpleasant, not stand around growling about it for days and days on end.

Well it's worth a shot... Does anyone here want a copy of Cubase LE 5? It came with this TASCAM 1800 and I'm not going to use it.
If you don't know what it is, don't worry you don't need it. Yoop might want it though, or someone else here who is into music. It's not the best DAW in the world but it's free - that even beats the price of my favorite DAW by a good $40!

When my Grandma was down in Texas she was near Conroe, which is near Houston. She says there were a LOT of restaurants down there, more restaurants per capita than anywhere else. In her words, "I never knew where my next meal was coming from. Could be chinese, could be mexican, could be italian..."
I on the other hand know exactly where my next meal is coming from. It's coming from the fridge, cause that's where we keep the jam and peanut butter to mix up and put on whole wheat sourdough bread. :D

McDonalds adding oatmeal to their menu was one of the best things they ever came up with. That stuff is GREAT!
It's because they put a shot of cream in it. No seriously, that's the instructions for making it. Pack of oatmeal/brown sugar, shot of cream, fill it up with hot water, stir.
I love oatmeal anyway, and I am SO pleased they have it there now. AND that it's not just for breakfast. I love it all the time.

One interesting thing we've been doing for a guy just recently - he orders five hot-n-spicy sandwiches without the bun. We put the five chicken patties in a salad bowl with the lettuce and mayo for five sandwiches on top and he eats a hot-n-spicy salad. Assuming you like hot-n-spicy minced chicken patties, I guess that might be good. Onion and pickles are free to add, so you could make it a regular salad.
I don't think we were behind. I don't know when they started that. But I know we've had it at least since January. And I tried it when it first came out. But I just really enjoyed it this morning, so I mentioned it. Lol
I think I was just extra hungry.

Good Lord, I HATE rainy weather! apparently, today is the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King being shot and killed. It seems the local Martin Luther King commision had planned an elaborate party on the lawn of the Capitol commemorating the event. (Why you'd want to celebrate one of your heros being shot I still haven't figured out.)
Anyway, due to the stormy weather they moved the event INSIDE my Capitol! :o Five brass bands, umpteen trillion screaming school kids, and a legislative body still in session! I've pulled out what's left of my hair, and I think I'm gonna start pulling out the hair of anyone who gets near enough to me for me to grab. :pound: I'm considering repoing the Taser I loaned to Cheese so I can use it on some of these idiots!

I survived the invasion of the Capitol and made it to the end of my week somewhat successfully. I am now at home, and since I beat Lou home, I am cooking and making a rather large mess for her to clean up. :lol: Meatloaf, garlic mashed tators, green beans and homemade biscuits for dinner tonight, and, in honer of lady Ruby- We'll be sippin' sweet tea. Trying to decide what to make for dessert now. :waving:

I don't think they were real pleased, but the folks had all left by the time the legislative body officially met, so the only members inconvienanced were the ones arriving early and those poor peons like me. At the time I posted that, it did not appear that the folks would be leaving in time. The session will not end until they meet in the middle over a redistricting bill, which has politicians from BOTH parties ticked. So far, all that's been done is make everyone unhappy. :lol:

Got the applesauce/coffee cake in the oven now- if the batter is any indication, it'll be delicious. I've licked the batters clean and the bowl as well- you'd think I was a 8 years old with free rein in the kitchen. :laughhard:

I have more than once licked the banana pudding bowl clean at church, with some of the kitchen staff present. They commented on it, but I was the one enjoying it, not them. :P

Went to Sis. Axsom's viewing. Was kind of saddened by it....not that that sort of thing is something that makes one happy anyways....but, the turn out was a let down to me. There were hardly any church people there. Just me and my mom and grandma, a couple other people from our church, and the Goddards (pastor at the church she went to when she moved back to Columbus after Bro. Axsom died) and Bro. Goddard's brother and his wife, and a few of her siblings or inlaws.
Her sons and their families aren't in church. But it just seems like after being a pastor's wife for 20 years and having been around so many other churches and knowing so many preachers for so long, that there'd be more people there.... In her last years she has been homebound, and sadly, basically just kind of forgotten I guess. Also. a lot of her contemporaries have already died themselves, or perhaps are unable to get out and about anymore. And the younger end of the crowd that's still up and attem are the ones that have forgotten.....
There weren't a whole lot of other people there in total either actually. I just found it kind of disappointing.
That seems to be the way it goes, the older the person the less in attendance.
I guess my mind is stuck back in time in the 20-30 year ago range.

We had a funeral a few weeks ago for an elder lady in our church Sis Colleen. It was for her Mother "Honey". None of us knew her, other than Pastor, but she was severely bedridden, had to be on oxygen constantly; but she wanted to be baptized. So they fought tooth and nail with the nursing home she was in to get her baptized. It was a rough ordeal, but above all the Lord helped them get her baptized.
She passed like 2 days after that...but at her funeral, which was held at our church we had probably just as many church people as family and none of us knew her.
I along with my Mom and our assistant Pastor sang like 2 songs at the request of Sis Colleen.
I will NEVER forget the joy I got when Sis. Colleen came up to me the next service and hugged me. She didn't have to say thanks but she did, for singing at the funeral. I couldn't exchange it for anything in the world. It just made my heart swell that I could be a "light" in her dark hour. It was the best feeling.
Well, I guess facebook is trying to tell me I have nothing to say. They keep deleting what i post there tonight.

So far, today has been productive!
Oh! I also cleaned out the spices, and I'm giving away everything we have that has high sodium. And I put a roast in the crockpot.

Sharing- I've done absolutely nothing productive today, unless you count consuming the left over meatloaf from last night as productive. In another rare event, Lou's off today as well, and we're headed to the nearby town of Russellville to get chey's pictures made. We've gotten her pics made every year, from newborn until now, and just realized that we're only three months or so from her being five and we hadn't gotten her 4 year old pics made yet.

Speaking of customers calling - have you ever called a restaurant or somewhere, asked to speak to the manager, and complimented the staff for the great job they did last night? The only time a customer calls it's to complain, so calling to express how good your meal and the service was will throw them for a loop. Try it sometime, it's fun! :cool:
My hubby likes to do that, Isaac. It's amazing to hear the change in their voice when it's a compliment. He also does it AT the restaurant. Asks for the manager then gives a complement instead of a complaint.

Stopped at Sam's Club and got some bottled water for church, and a battery for my car....they charge a "core charge" when you buy a battery, that they'll give back if you give them your old battery. Stinkin' buzzards. :-? I'll either drop it back by there when I'm over that way again, or else see if it matters which Club you go to...may have to be the same one though, dunno....or if the salvage yard takes them I'll see how much they give and if they give more I'd take it there, dunno....anyways... Also signed up for a Sam's credit card, just to get $20 off. lol So I'll pay it off when I get the card, and probably never use it again. Looked on the salvage yard website, they give $8 for old car batteries...I may just take it there, got some other stuff that needs to go there.....at some point....we'll see.... The Sam's charge thing was $9.

Two of my grandmother's buttermilk biscuits, cut in half, with colby cheese (softened in the microwave, but not melted) and sliced smoked turkey on top of that. You might find a supper as good, but you'll never find one better.

I quite agree. Leftover meatloaf, Miracle Whip, and a thick slice of cheese on white bread- what a meal!
Last time I made meatloaf, it didn't come out as good as I thought it should, so I got my adopted grandmother's "Apostolic Pentecost Church Cookbook" - printed sometime about 40 years ago, as a fund raiser for her home church in Iowa- from my sister and tried the first meatloaf receipe I found. It was delicious! I'm gonna hate it when my sister repo's the cookbook. :laughhard:

Tended fowl....had a guy come and buy the last of my leftover ducks from last season, hallelujah, and 5 chicks.

Well thanks to freecycle I found someone who wants this Cubase LE 5. It's free, came with this audio interface I bought, but that's about all I can say for it... Reaper is far better and only $40, AND you can try it out forever without paying for it if you're not ethical. It won't shut down after a month or a certain number of uses.
Odd thing is, according to the manual even though this Cubase LE came for free I would still have to register it online to use it. Copy protection junk. If they're so worried about only one person using this copy, why are they giving it out for free with hardware?

We grilled last night- or Lou did, while I put brake pads on her car. Your free charcol would have been welcome- I paid over $4 bucks for a bag at the corner grocery to keep from driving 10 miles into town.
Well this sorry pen has a roof now. I have a mashed thumb. The ladder fell over from under me once and I had to swing from the rafters to the ground. I hurt in various places. And when I got done, I tasted blood from an unknown source.

Okay, so the pro wrestler's girlfriend that got the two ducklings texted today wanting me to babysit them for a couple weeks....that was the first length of time....but then she said till after Easter.... Cause she has to go help her parents move or something. I was like, I can take them, but can't promise I'll keep them.
She pouted because she said she wanted them back. EVEN THOUGH, when she got them she said she wanted to raise them till they got too big them bring them back. lol
Anyways, she has listed the following in the pets section of Craigslist now:
I have week old ducklings, two of them. Perfect health. I have a family emergency to tend to, and can't take them out of state with me. I would like the ducklings to go to a loving home. Can go outside as long as there is a good enclosure to animals can't get to them. Must stay inside if cold out until at least 2 months.
There will be a small adoption fee of $50 to insure they go to a good home. They will also come with an almost new bag of food, a bag of bedding, and a bag of corn bedding, and a heat lamp. You can also have the Rubbermaid tub they stay in at night.
Must take both!
I'm surprised she has not killed the poor things already by now.

So, my latest tehe hehe call had my office in stitches. The complainant advised that she purchased two Cd's from a "bootlegger" and the Cd's were not the promised Cd's. When she confronted him in an effort to receive a refund, he refused. She requested that he be charged with fraud. Being the goose that I am, I asked her if she seriously wanted our agency to press charges against someone she labeled as a bootlegger. She said, rather emphatically, "yes!" People are more than amusing.
So, I drove back to Gainesville for church. Everyone keeps harping at me for driving over eighty miles one way to church, but I cannot be bothered. I feel like I need to be there. My prayer has been that the Lord will reveal to me, without doubt, if it is His will. I asked the Lord to let me be embraced and I have been. I have spent so much time being excited about church and praising the Lord that I haven't had an opportunity to dwell on anything negative.
I have, in the past, been so blinded by trials and tribulations that I didn't see that victory was upon me. It's not supposed to be like that. If I choose to let all things yucky weigh heavily on my heart, I'll speak more of the same into existence and I'm not having that on my watch. Bro. Arnold said something tonight which really resonated within me. He said that a lot of people allow their faith to be dictated by their feelings instead of their knowledge. It's so easy to slack off, using the excuse of not feeling like praying in the morning or praising Him outwardly, but at the end of the day, we know that God inhabits the praises of His people. I don't want to let my feelings/inaction prevent me from creating an environment in which His will and presence are made manifest in my life.

I made some chicken salad for lunch, and instead of bread, I wrapped a few spoonfools in some lettuce and had a couple lettuce wraps. I also chopped up a cucumber and ate that too. Very tasty.
Topped it off with a can of V8 juice and a little later a bottle of water.
I've got sauce in the crockpot that was previously frozen, gonna boil some noodles and make spegetti later.
Just stopping by en route to somewhere. Got a freecycle run to do tonight.
Actually that Subway sounds good. Might get me some Subway myself. My current favorite is cold cut combo (all turkey based, so some might claim I'm being a cannibal) with that sauce they put on the pizza and meatball subs, plus mayo, mustard, onion (for my breath,) tomato if it doesn't look too pale.
When I was a kid and we went to Subway I would rate subs by how many napkins I needed when eating them. Some things never change...

Why do people who are suppose to be so smart make things so much more difficult than they need to be?
Have you ever tried to do long division in MSWord and show your work? I just spent the last 2 or 3 hours doing that. We could not use Excel or use any tables. Took forever to get those numbers lined up so they would make some kind of sense. I feel like I just did formatting homework instead of Math. I could have done the Math by itself in about 20 minutes. If anyone knows a way around this I would appreciate the info.

I had to buy MS Office. All assignments have to be turned in as a Word Document .docx, no exceptions.

Okay i almost blew a fuse. I rebooted my new laptop with Windows 7 and it came up with nothing at all on the desktop. No folders, no icons, no nothing. Tried a few things, did a quick google, tried some more stuff, and found out that the "show desktop icons" choice got unchecked during the reboot somehow. I thought all my hard work of the past couple of weeks was gone, and all it was was a stupid setting that changed itself! While googling I found a lot of other people have had this happen to them with Windows XP, Vista, 7...
For the record this has NEVER happened in any Linux I have ever tried.

No no, for most people (read: standard end-users) Mac is what I would recommend, if you have the money for it. If all you want is to check email, watch a video on youtube, all the stuff "normal" people usually do online, Mac is a good way to go. It is solid, dependable and you don't have to know much about it to use it.
It would not work for me though because the computer itself is expensive, all the Mac-official add-ons are very expensive, if you get 3rd party add-ons they probably won't work and (most important reason for me) higher functions such as audio workstations are not very dependable, varied or functional.
But for "normal" people, if they have the money to burn, I would recommend a Mac. It would also be my first choice to send a missionary with if they are far from a support base and they need a computer that just plain works.
Be gratified. You're normal. :P
Woke up choking on my sinus drainage. I know. Attractive right? Lol. It's like one week it's a sore throat the next it's a runny nose. Then repeat the cycle. Sigh.

Went to work, came home. Been trying to get out the door in good time so I won't get overtime this week. They scheduled me for five regular work days, PLUS a short day putting up the truck order.
I said it before, I'll say it again - if I weren't so honest I'd probably have a lot more money. All it would take is a little riding the clock, which is what 80% of the employees do anyway, pecking away at their smartphones whenever they have a minute free.
Just turned in my Programming homework. I think I did it right, but a few prayers wouldn't hurt anything.

Ah yes, I remember well the days when we were building our new (much larger) sanctuary. Working on a church project never does seem much like work because there's no hectic rush, you're working with friends on something you actually want to do and everyone is in generally good spirits. Or at least that's how it was for us.
And the ladies of the church kept us supplied with lunches. Ah, those lunches. :)
Yea I told them I'm not so good with power tools, but I'm a great assistant and cleaner :)
Yeah that's about right. Our pastor is a carpenter and our assistant pastor is an electrician/sort-of-carpenter/whatever-is-needed, so between the two of them they mostly built the new sanctuary. I scraped up putty blobs off the floor and did fetch-and-carry stuff mostly. I told them to enlist me as unskilled manual labor. :P
We've got quite a few builders at the church (the pastor included) so I may just end up being encouraging entertainment. Lol

Going to a poultry show at the fairgrounds in the morning. Doing an egg drop on the way. May pick up a few things afterward.
Then tomorrow (or today, as it's after midnight, as the case may be) night we have a missionary at church, the Adams from Poland.
Wonderful news about the sanctuary, Heather! Since we all know Apostolic men are some of the most handsome bits of manly fluff in all the land, you can keep a steady flow of chilled lemonade coming and enjoy the, um, scenery... :freaky2:.
As to my day, it has been exceptionally long, but I'm wearing fuzzy socks. Life has a way of being at least ten times better whilst wearing fuzzy socks. Seriously. And God said, "Let there be bliss" and there were fuzzy socks and God saw that there were fuzzy socks and that it was good.
My officers enjoyed a freshly baked, made from scratch red velvet cake and "felony" cookies. Plus, we even made sure they had milk since they fussed about having cookies without milk last week. They're just like a bunch of kids...lol. There are times I fully expect to see one of 'em throw his lolli in the dirt and declare for all the world to hear that someone isn't going to their birthday party!

I got to use tin snips this morning!! That's about the only tool they'd let me use. lol. We were hanging the new lighting over the pulpit.
Had a bit of a run in with my ex, his brother, his girlfriend and one of his good friends. I guess he didn't think I'd be there helping. Everyone kept there cool though except Matt [the ex]. His brother and his friend were more than nice. After they left my pastor was just like 'Heather, I don't know how you do it, but I'm glad you deal with it so well'. I just told him I can't let one person keep me from church. That would be ridiculous.
Mowed my mom's yard for her today despite the massive sinus issues I'm having.
Gotta head home and get ready to head to Bro Moore's for his anniversary service tonight. He pastors a church about an hour away, but I love his family. They gave me my first bible study and him and his wife prayed me through 10 years ago yesterday actually. Gonna ride up with my pastor and his family.

In other news, I hate, I hate, I HATE it when I've done a lot of work on a soundtrack, I'm happy with what I've done... and I forget to save it before I quit. What I hate even more is when the program I'm working in goes POOF and I lose all my progress and it's not even my fault for forgetting to save! What brings this up? Last night I did a lot of work and then it went POOF.
Wouldn't happen if you had a real guitar... Then you'd just be breaking strings. :P

It would not have happened if I had been playing a real guitar AND been recording it on some hardware-based recorder. Or if I had not been running that plugin that sometimes crashes... but I needed that plugin's unique sound. :-/
My alarm clock unplugged itself from the wall. I was 30 minutes late for work. Thankfully I'm NEVER late and my boss called at 815 to make sure I was ok. Sheesh. I HATE being late.
Did some dishes. Ate some Mac & cheese. Waiting for Jessica to get here then we'll be on the way to church. I'm pretty excited she's coming with me. We used to attend another church together.

Then what would I do for drums, bass, glockenspiel and trumpet? I only have two hands, I can't play them all at the same time. And having other players learn all the songs I want to sing is a bit impractical when I don't have a band and have nobody around here who would be likely to want to start a band.

Didn't do good on my programing assignment this week. Really need some prayer that I will be able to grasp this stuff and pass this class. The only thing he said I did wrong was used the word organize instead of the word list on part of it. That's all he would say was wrong. So I really don't know why it wasn't right.
Going with my mom to the hospital in the morning. She is having an echo-cardiogram done. Please keep her in your prayers and pray this heart murmur is nothing serious.

Praying for ya, Kloey. I lost a close friend who was nearing retirement a couple of years ago. He stopped a stolen vehicle and the driver shot him. Hard to deal with, no doubt. In law enforcement, maybe more so than any other job, coworkers become family really quick. Some of my fellow officers are closer to me than my own blood kin.

Dropped my programing class today. I start it again in June, but I have a few people who have already taken the class to help me prepare for it this time. The instructor was awful when it came to help and answering simple questions. Maybe next time I will get someone different
Went with my Mom to get the heart test done. They had to send it out of town to a cardiologist, so it will probably be Thursday or next week before she knows the results.

However church has been exceptional, I even was given a word from God. My sister w/the twins is really working on her family, my marine sister it growing in God. Although I lack actual talent, I am absolutely loving being a part of the worship team, probably because im already passionate about worship.

Actually that stuff doesn't work. I walked into w*rk one day and the main boss was on a rampage. One of the assistant managers said softly, "Calgon, calgon!" I said, "What?" She said, "Calgon, take her away!" But it didn't.
Speaking of w*rk, while I was gone to w*rk today my former workplace called. This place where I used to work is a factory and it was the best job I've ever had. They actually took care of the employees, paid well and listened to employee ideas about how to do the job better. When the economy tanked they went from more than 200 employees to less than 20 and I lost a much needed job.
The reason they called is because they want me to come back! :clap:

In sharing- I'm really bummed out. There was a 121 year old historic bridge about 3 miles from our house that Chey and I would take rusty the '46 over weekly, often driving out of the way to cross it. It was a cool old steel span single lane bridge with a wooden floor and was so picturesque. I'd had photos made with rusty and Chey on it, and had plans to have some more pics made. This morning, an idiot driving a big truck weighing about 9 tons decided that he would drive over it, ignoring the sign that said "3 ton weight limit". The bridge collapsed and is scrap now. The driver and truck that murdered it were, of course, unharmed, primarily because my four year old and myself weren't there.
Chey began crying when she found out about it and told me to find the driver and lock him up for a hundred weeks. :lol:

We're under a tornado watch until 3 am. Apparently we had one the next town over on Saturday (Isaac- in Johnson City actually near the campus and the VA if your familiar with it) Generally my mountains protect me and I pray they do this time too!!
Work early. Then to do laundry. Then to go help lay carpet. I'm actually a fan of manual labor plus I know I can't give much to the church, but I can give my time....

Johnson City is where my sister lives! :o Fortunately she's not near the campus. She's closer to Fifi's, the mediterranean restaurant.
And yes, the mountains usually bounce them off. One reason why mom was never as afraid of storms as most people around here - she grew up in GreenEville.
Watched a show once on weather myths, one of the myths was the belief that deserts and mountains protect you from tornadoes. It was not long after that a tornado hit the in the valley just outside Phoenix where I was living at the time. People were going crazy because that thought the mountains around Phoenix and then the fact that it was a desert was going to protect them.
I say that to say this. Take the weather alerts seriously no matter where you live. Don't want anything to happen to ya'll!!!
The storms moved through here earlier, they were not as bad as predicted. Thank God!!
One of the support centers that I used to have to talk to was in Johnson City, TN.

I dreamed that dad and I were going somewhere, so before we left, I played basketball in the yard and was having a blast! (I love playing basketball BTW, it's actually a sport I'm good at) and then we get in the truck and pull up to this house and Clarence walks out and hugs dad. Lol then we go inside and I'm trying to cook, but I wondered where everyone else was. I finally went into the other part of the house and Mary and PF were in there in another kitchen on their laptops! I said "oh yeah, I forgot y'all had two kitchens! Y'all like to cook!" then I *pouncehugged* PF, and she laughed and laughed. Then Chel came out and it was the best Chel hug E V E R. when she started to pull away, I said "wait! I'm not done!" and she hugged me some more! Morning, all. I'm up and about. Fixing to go do the chore I meant to do last Wednesday- mow the church yard. My trailer had a flat, so I had no way of getting the mower the 12 miles to the church except ride it. Pretty sure that would've been a bad idea. :lol: I got the tire changed though, and we should be good to go. It'll probably take twice as long as normal- it needed mowed last week pretty bad, and it's rained since then. I may need a brush hog by the time I'm through. Hope everyone has a great day! :waving:

Wasps are HARD to kill! I thought I killed one last night. I smushed him in a napkin and threw it in the trashcan beside my bed. Just now, I noticed he was NOT smushed, he was on top of the napkin, very much alive, so I smushed him again, and he FLEW AWAY!! AGH!!
So I grabbed an empty water bottle from the trashcan and I caught the wasp again, and trapped him inside the bottle. He is now back in the trash and I don't think he is coming out this time. :D
But what if it does..... :o

Got the church yard mowed, but my devilissh trimmer refused to start, so the trimming was not finished.
Oh, and even though this is not athe prayer request thread, pray for a minister friend of mine. I'll leave his name out of it now, since I don't know if he wants this annouced. He was feeling poorly last night and his adult daughters persuaded him to go to the hospital. After running several tests, they discovered he has prostate cancer that MAY have spread to his liver. This is a man of God that has been VERY strong through numerous trials, and whose entire family is pretty much in the ministry- two sons and a son in law pastor churches, I know for sure.
I was in Oklahoma the entire time--really, I was!

Wrote something today that is perhaps the hardest thing I have had to write. Its called "I am one of the forgotten ones" which will be small snipets of the lives of people that have in one way or another crossed paths with the church. Then over time the church dropped them, lost interest or what have you. Showing what happens in ppls lives when we give up on a vision, deciding its just not worth the time, effort, cost.
Was a really hard subject to look at.
I went home and slept for an hour, and it was only around 7 p.m. :o

I had quite the enjoyable evening. Cooked out, had my brother in law and his wife over- and one of the kids in my youth group came over to discuss an issue he's having and we've been praying about. It still amazes me that someone trusts me enough to come to me for advice and prayer. :o

Made it through the day- a bit down after hearing the particulars of an officer that was shot in the line of duty Tuesday night in a small town just to the north of here. Everytime I hear of an incident like this, it tears my heart out- I know that but for the grace of God, it could be me not going home to my family. The officer killed had a wife and three kids, and was only 30 years old. Senseless shooting, the killer was a piece of trash with quite the history, I'm told.
It was poop that smelled like poo. Unrelated to sour cream.
Went to church, came home. Bill, of the Christmas mailer fame, was there. He's come a few times.

Yep. I talked with some folks here at the capitol that knew a bit more about the shooting. From all accounts, Officer Schmidt was a good guy. :cry:
Back at work. We had quite the storm last night. I usually sleep the sleep of the dead when I lay down, but the wind was blowing strongly enough and the rain was coming down hard enough, I was awake most of the night. I'll have to wait 'til this evening to check on damage, because it was still too dark when I left for work.

Supposed to get a bad storm here today. I'm nasuated. I didn't sleep much last night. Ran a fever and had a really bad headache during church last night. As SOON as he dissmissed, I was GONE. went straight home and was in bed by 8:45.

Shoulder is hurting some again this morning too. He had ALMOST went completly away yesterday.
That's ok. God is still good and I'm gonna have a good day today.
We're supposed to get that heavy weather today, so I need to remember to turn off my computers and unplug the power strip before I leave.
I wonder how much more my poor computers can take. Yesterday I forgot to turn the air conditioner on before I left, so when i got home it was really hot upstairs, and this computer I'm typing on now was hot enough on the bottom to burn.

If u can find some peppermint candy mel, boil a few in just a little bit of water until they are melted. Then drink a few sips at a time and it helps the upset tummy

Yeah my grandmother said they did that for morning sickness back in her day lol I have used it for years works great for colic in babies too!

I am thankful for a small nap that made my headache let off some, and a bowl of Clam Chowder that I was able to eat. I dont feel AS nasauated now, and Im happy the headache is better.

Went to town for a few things while ago.
5 college boys just came and bought a bunny and a duck. :freaky: I did not ask if they were going to be involved in a ritual hazing...I figured what I don't know, won't hurt me. lol
One of the boys kept standing and trying to get the rabbits or baby birds to come up to him, and their inclination of course is to shy away...and he seemed concerned about that. He said they should be in the wild. I said if they were in the wild, they would just be eaten. He said maybe that's the way it should be. :smirk2:
I think he takes this whole nature and circle of life thing a bit too seriously. :smirk:
And I won't tell you any of the comments they said related to the mating of rabbits. :ignore:
And furthermore, I feel old now. Stupid college kids....when somebody that is that old seems like a kid to me, it's a shame... :(
