I have such a fear of this... and I thought it was unfounded..... until hair thefts from salons started making the news and now this - I hate when weird fears turn out to be legit

If my hair is down and I'm in a crowd I usually sweep it over my shoulder in front of me and hold on to it along with my purse strap - mostly just to keep it from flying and getting caught on people... now it will be to ward off thieves!

I tried to find something about it on the internet, but I saw  a news show several years back where in some of the oriental countries this was happening. They said they could get lots of money because there most women did not perm or chemically treat their hair in any way
