I do believe
                   It's gonna be
                                        Another red-letter day!
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."
:sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing:

Lynx

Sometimes He calms the storm
Bids the wind and waves be still
He can conquer any sea
But it doesn't mean He will
Sometimes He holds us close
As the wind and waves go wild
Sometimes He calms the storm
Other times, He calms His child
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."
:sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing:

I got a hundred people calling out my name today
Then you come through my door
And I can't care no more
Unless you can save me
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."
:sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing: :sing:

Heather

oh Lord you're beautiful
your face is all I seek
and when your eyes are on this child
your grace abounds to me
Keep it simple. Just love Jesus. -Sister Ali

This song is what I needed today at church. I feel like I've been treading water the past few weeks. Funny thing is the praise team almost didn't do this song but my best friend [who didn't know what I've been going through] recommended it before service. It's called Oceans. Hillsong United originally did it I think....This is only the part stuck in my head.

So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior
Keep it simple. Just love Jesus. -Sister Ali

Life is easy, when you're up on the mountain
And you've got peace of mind
Like you've never known
But then things change and you're down in the valley
Don't lose faith for you're never alone

[Chorus]

For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley
When things go wrong, He'll make them right
And the God of the good times is still God in the bad times
The God of the day is still God in the night

V. 2

We talk of faith when were up on the mountain
But talk comes easy
When life's at its best
But it's down in the valley of trials and temptations
That's where faith is really put to the test

Repeat Chorus 2 times

I remember hearing my mama sing along to this song.....Lord, the memories...I still love this song, even though I haven't heard it in years.

Then you haven't gone through the whole music collection.  It's there.

I shall wander through and try to find it...Who sang it?

I have it by Lynda Randle, whomever she may be.  Look in Collection Albums, Gospel Truth folder, track 03.

I like Lynda Randle. She's a black lady that can sing really well. I saw her on YouTube singing with the Gaithers before.

Everybody said that
Anybody could do
All the things that Somebody should do
Everybody said that
Anybody could do
All the good things that Nobody did
"Do you sing at church?"

Fuzzy I'm sure you have posted this song here but I can't find it.  Anyway, I found the song on one of the CDs I got in my latest haul and thought of you.  Andrew Peterson's "Nothing to say."

Who you are by unspoken

this is one of my favorite parts of the song:

So let the ashes fall wherever they land
Come back from wherever you've been
To the foot of the cross
To the feet of Jesus,
The feet of Jesus

You can never fall too hard,
So fast, so far
That you can't get back
When you're lost
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalm 34:18 NIV

It's amazing what you can find if you just buy a load of christian albums indiscriminately...  Imagine rock and roll, the way it sounded in the '50s... now imagine christian rock and roll in that style.  This song sounded like something the Beatles would sing.

ROCK AND ROLL PREACHER

Verse 1
When I was young my life was rock and roll music
Just digging the wonderful sound
I'd get home from school and when I finished my lessons
I'd listen to music till the sun came around
I'd sit by the hour and play my old piano
Pick out the chords to the songs
I'd turn on the station to American Bandstand
Learning the words and then I'd sing right along

Chorus
But who ever thought I'd be a rock and roll preacher
Instead of just singing the bluuuuues
Who ever thought I'd be a rock and roll preacher
Singing my song so you can hear the good news

Verse 2
Now that I'm free my heart is filled with the gladness
That comes when a life has been changed
The song that I sing now has a different ring
Yeah the lyrics have meaning, but the tune is the same
I want you to know I still love rock and roll music
But now I have something to say!
I'll sing you my song and maybe you'll sing along
We'll make a joyful noise they'll hear in every place

Chorus
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

Been thinking about an old Kelly Minter song.

If I could touch the hem of His garment
If I could see Him walk the sea
If I could taste the wine turned from water
Would I, would I be
Any more, any more
Any more sure?
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."
