I'll do some whining if I want to. Why does everyone jump the gun on starting these threads? Here I wait like a good little boy and someone else always starts one too soon. I even had a title for this one already.
Not allowing people to whine might exclude some posters from this thread. :hypocrite:
Isaac: They usually get started around page 19 of the previous thread. So when it hits 19 on this one go for it.

You're whining! :laughhard: Sorry, Isaac, when I saw we were on page 20 and no one had started one, I figured I would. I've been here a while, but I've only got to start two sharing threads. I'll refrain on the next one. :thumbsup2:

As far as excluding people, Taco, no one listens to me anyway. Just consider me the voice crying in the wilderness. :laughhard:

and my little old lady friend next door passed away yesterday
and a very close and dear friend that lives in the UK broke her back again two days ago, this is the 3rd time in less than 3 years. the doctors there are not giving her much hope of ever walking or much of anything again. she had only been out of a full body brace for 4 months or so now.

Sorry to hear that Barb. When it rains, it pours.
Just ate an after-supper homemade fried apple pie. :) It's very handy having a pastor who makes stuff to raise money for church projects, and who is so good at making said stuff. But someone needs to take this pecan brittle and hide it from me, I'm eating too much.
And here I was wanting to whine, but don't feel like I should after Barb's post. ;)
Yeah, compared to that any problem I can dredge up is somewhat trivial. Kind of like complaining about your shoes hurting when you're touring Auschwitz.
I didn't realize a new sharing thread was open.

Glad that's over....went to the men's conference. Blah. Didn't like it. They taught and preached good things, that was fine...but I just personally didn't enjoy it. Always feel alone and like I don't belong when I go to stuff like that. Bah.
Glad it's over.
Already said that, but it bears repeating. lol
Been there Seth. Know how you feel. Best thing to do is use that time to observe people. It's amazing what you can learn from people when they don't notice you. :)
wheeee
Taco is brought to you today via LinuxMint, I think I like it so far. Much nicer than Ubuntu.
Actually it is built on Ubuntu. So is Super OS. I run both and they are both better than plain Ubuntu. Linux Mint is what Ubuntu was supposed to be, a nice, easy to use, sane operating system that anyone can use even if you don't know what you're doing.
Super OS is basically Ubuntu with everything and the kitchen sink added. It works just as well as Linux Mint, but it has everything any normal person could possibly want, already installed, ready to run. Skype, IRC chat, VLC media player, RealPlayer, Google Chrome...
Had a nap.
In other news, I was out earlier and saw a guy that looked just like Seth. He was out with two old ladies and I almost blurted out "Hey that's Seth". I had to send Seth a text to make sure he wasn't in Alabama. lol
Wouldn't it have been funny if you'd sent me a text and that guy would've grabbed his phone?

Just got up from a nap. Had a migraine going on there for a bit. Made me miss my friend Katie's birthday dinner though :( but I feel soooo much better :)
Going to put up laundry, find some food, and do what I do every evening.....knit and watch old episodes of Bones :)
Well. I had a busy day today.
Went shopping with dad to get groceries. Then headed to the church to load up the truck and go to Our Daily Bread to feed the homeless. Then back to the church for clean up and then we had Youth Prayer and a Youth Staff meeting. Went from there to the new Burkes store and looked around. Then to Payless where I got some new shoes! (much needed) And then over to Big Lots to look around. After that, I stopped by the post office to get the mail (no package yet :() and then back home.
I think I'm gonna go make a salad (with croutons) for my dinner.
Awful quiet in here..... on the off chance that everyone's obeying the title- try this one. " Feel free to whine, just participate in Sharing 4-2-9" :laughhard:
Not that I participate a whole lot, but I was thinking the same thing five-oh. It'll blow up when I can't keep up I'm sure. Lol

Had a lovely salad made with spring mix, cherry tomatoes, ham, Colby jack shredded cheese, croutons and a wee bit of Ranch dressing. And a couple of boiled eggs on the side. YUMMY.
I MAY try to go to bed early.

If you recall, I said that Lou thought it was black gospel sounding. I said it was simply a more contemporary sound.
Tell the seldom-seen Lou she needs to listen to more music styles. And she needs to listen to you more as to which styles are which.

Going to church.
Well yesterday was a roller-coaster. I was running the sound booth for a good friend's marriage, then I find out a member of our church died yesterday morning and the body will be at the church tonight. It's a bit mixed up, like taking caffeine and a sleeping pill... I don't know whether to be happy, sad or mixed up.
Well mixed up is my usual state so I guess I'll go with what I know.
No church tonight, only morning service, and no choir practice, puppet practice or the planned Sunday School meeting.
Ti-to-the-red! Lol..
Bus duty! Plus I'm very tired and not feelin' so hot, haha. I'm sure getting bounced around on this bus for over an hour will totally help! Lol..
Wish I could have naptime in SS class haha..
I'm here. Sound like a frog thanks to this weather and its mood swings, but I'm here. And I've managed to do some required online training this morning, so I feel like I've been productive. Now to do next to nothing for the rest of the day.
Isaac, sorry to hear about your fellow church member. Was it expected?
:lurk:

It's good stuff, ain't it?!
Back from church and fellowship and food at my favorite Chinese place, with my favorite people.
Now I'm think about a nap. But I'm afeared it's too late for one.
Made shrimp etoufee for lunch. Went to the store for a piece to fix a broken water line. Took some photos. Home now.
AWESOME church this morning!! And I'm now so full of food I may not have to eat until atvleast Tuesday. Lol. Went and fellowshiped with friends I ran around with Friday. Makes me VERY thankful for my church and that's all I'll say on that matter.
Went to church at Sanders, came home.
Just cruisin the countryside, listening to the Crabb Family... I have a few favorites on "The Walk" ("I will follow you") and a couple I don't know the name of... And then "I've come to take you home." , but I don't know what cd that is off of.
Just been playing those two on repeat... I think I'm lost... And I left the GPS somewhere besides here...
Does nobody these days use an atlas?
One of my all-time favorite songs is on that Crabb Family: The Walk album. "Jesus will do what you can't." I have a soundtrack for all the songs on that album, and I'm seriously thinking about singing that song sometime.

Yay! we are home. Nathan got to meet another brother and some nieces this weekend. God's good. I'm excited to see what will come of all this.
Part of me feels like we (I) should be so much more anointed. That God should be so much more a part of the conversations when we visit unsaved family, that we should be testifying and such. But it just doesn't seem to work out that way. Part of me feels guilty and another part feels like though I'm not "witnessing" in a focussed way, our family relationships seem to be growing a lot closer in the last few years. It's all very interesting.

Is it ethical to use a computer's installed operating system to download the OS that will be replacing it? Isn't that kind of like asking an employee to interview job applicants and find someone better than he is who will work for less, so you can fire the current one and hire the better one for less money?
Whatever... I'm using Linux Mint to download KXStudio. One of those music-oriented operating systems, has everything installed, configured and ready to roll. No, not rock and roll... I'm a pentecostal. ;)

I left you a message! I said I was driving home from Florida and I wanted to talk to you! It was a Saturday night...ummm I don't remember the actual date. Two weekends ago.
I wasn't gonna tell you about Indiana on the message. I was gonna explain to you my plans.
It's for Justins wedding. And I will HOPEFULLY see Seth. It's not set in stone just yet. Too soon to know. Lol
Oh. And I'm going to Indiana on the 24th. I MIGHT be flying, I might be riding with friends. That is still undecided. I have to make another few phone calls. Either way, I get there on Thursday, leave on Sunday. Staying in Seymour.
Hmmm... Seymour is 9hrs away... but that is Goo glemaps time... LOL. The wedding is Saturday I imagine?
Yep. 1:30.
/me hugs Yoop then heads to bed
*Yoop Hugs back PF!!* Thanks :)
So when exactly on Sunday do you leave? Cause I have no Idea when I would have a chance to even see you if your going to a wedding... LOL!
FYI... Seymour, IN is only 50 miles from where TG lives... LOL
IDK what time we would be leaving. I'm at the mercy of other people.

Good grief it's 12:30am! Night y'all.
I'm not asleep. I should be. But not.
Gonna go keep Parker tomorrow. Gotta be at their house at 7:15, so I really NEED to go to sleep, but I'm not even sleepy yet!
Good Night as well... work in the morning... :waving:
Thanks for all the prayers...
Why are you staying in Seymour anyways?
Hmmm.... :)

Cara is from Seymour. Her church, and the church that Justin ultimately attended is there. All her family is there. So yeah. I guess that's why. I don't really know. I'm just going where I'm told everyone will be.
How small of a town is it?
Im up.
I had a LONG night. I went to bed after 1:30 and was up at 6, but the night seemed to last A LONG TIME. Kept waking up. I was hot. Then cold. Then hot. Then uncomfortable. Then I had to get up. Then I was hot again.
BLAH! I'm thankful it's morning!
Parker today!!
I'm so thankful for kids to babysit. Y'all just don't realize what a huge factor that has been in my happiness in MS. If I didn't have them, I might have moved back to Fl. I miss my Emily and Jeremy SOOO much. If it wasn't for Livi and Parker...well. IDK.
:hi:
Good morning all. Yesterday I just felt worse as the day went by. I gave up and skipped church (probably missed a blessing), went home, took some meds and went to bed at 5 pm. Sleep came nearly instantly and I slept most of the night and awoke to rain. Now I'm at work, feeling only marginally better than yesterday. Thank God it's my friday. And although others out there need God's touch more than I do, if any of you have a spare prayer that isn't assigned to someone, I'll take it. :thumbsup2:
Praying, Bob.
Also, are Tuesdays and Wednedays your days off? I may be off some in the next 10 days, and might make a trip over into Arlansas.

Oh, I see. Well that makes more sense with the whole Seymour infatuation then. All I was coming up with was that it's along I-65 on the way toward Indy from the south...lol
According to what it says online, it's like 20,000 population.

I made an exciting discovery today.
Subway is open for Breakfast. Thats not new. Or exciting, I know. But what IS good is they sell the regular sandwiches at Breakfast hours! Yay!
I got my sandwich for lunch at 6:30 this morning, and now I dont have to eat what they have over here at Parkers house. LOL
Mornin y'all.
Between making backups three different ways for my new laptop (not three sets of backups, three different ways of backing it up... ain't taking no chances here) and testing out some new Linux variants, I am using a lot of blank DVDs over here. Anyone know where I can find some on sale?
Seth you really should try this KXStudio. You don't have to install it, the whole operating system runs from the live disk. You could try out all kinds of music programs. When you reboot and take out the disk you're back to whatever you have installed on your computer.
It even has my personal favorite DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) Reaper. :freaky2:

Everyone at work is being a cranky pants. On lunch now. It's all rainy and dreary around here and is supposed to he for the next 3 days.

Seth if I were there to demonstrate you would not have to ask what in the world you would do with it. First time I loaded a good deep drop-bass that you can play through your keyboard (or violin, steel guitar, nylon guitar, flute, etc) you would be hooked.
About those turkeys... that would last about five seconds with me. I'd take a hammer after them.

Although with a wind controller (the thing you use to shape attack and decay on a virtual trumpet) you could play a bass line... Maybe a bass cello, bowed, use MIDI CC2 data to control volume envelope.

Last night I dreamed about catching the woods on fire again....it was quite stressful....lol I was glad when I woke up that it was just a dream. And then I realized, it was almost a year to the day - just off by 2 days, since last year when I DID burn the woods down. LOL
Creepy.
:P
But it rained here today, so I should be safe at least for today...and I'll try to refrain from building fires in the near future.
*makes a mental note to express thanks in his prayer time that he lives in Tennessee, a good safe distance from people who dream of setting forests on fire.
Well, I'm still pretty unsettled about my dream. I rarely care about dreams, or it's easy to see what it's from. But this one, the fact that I'm pulling my own teeth, that it feels relieving, that it's all back teeth.. that I can practically still feel the sensation and taste... is just odd feeling. I have good teeth by the way. Never a cavaty or anything.
I am slightly amused that I resolved to just purée all my food since I had no chewing teeth. That I wasn't devasted about not having back teeth because I still had my front teeth to look normal.
weird just weird.
I need some Xanax.
Weird. I dream about doing music/computer stuff, mellow dreams about pulling out her teeth and cheese dreams about setting a forest on fire. At least I was doing something I wanted to do.

Well, I was the official pin cushion for the doctors office again today. They had to get someone who use to specialize in premature infants to actually find a vein and get blood. The colitis is back, so my diet has to change immediately. Basically everything I really enjoy has to go. There is a silver lining though I guess, if I can't eat that stuff I am sure to lose some more weight. lol

Your guess would've been wrong. :hypocrite: I've been up and about since around 7-ish this morning, but knew better than to get on the computer. If I had, I would not have gotten anything done, I'd still be lurking around here. Instead, I've accomplished several of the chores I had to do, including mowing the one acre lawn for the first time this season. Had to make a quick run to town to get a cap for a septic line, so I drove the girlie car with the top down and enjoyed it.
Oh, and I recieved a blessing last night..... my weedeater died after approximately 5 years of use, and I was going to have to relace it. That's $70 to $150 that I really didn't have to spend, especially since the gas prices have gone up so much. We went to a friend's house last night, and while talking to him, I mentioned that I was going to go replace my weedeater. He walked over, picked up one that was leaning against the shop wall, and gave it to me. :o He works as shop manager for a local landfill, and if the guys that work the trucks find something that's still good, they can keep it. Evidently, whoever found it didn't need it and gave it to him, and, as he didn't need it, he passed the blessing on to me. All it needed was a 10 cent bolt put in the shaft and it's like new. Can't believe someone threw it away.
I guess it was God's way of providing for me, as I usually do the church yard during the summer. Oh, and the weedeater that was given to me- it's about twice the price of the one I was going to buy, a MUCH better quality tool. My God don't do anything halfway! :clap2:

Oh, yes. And it's been growing at an unbelievable pace. All the daffodils are blooming, the grass is green, my peach trees have the prettiest blooms on them., and my butterfly bushes are becoming brilliant. All that's left to make their spring time appearance is my crepe myrtles and my dogwood tree, they haven't bloomed yet. Oh, and my wisteria vine hasn't either, but I'm not sure it survived the winter. We'll have to wait and see- I know the lilac bush survived and the wisteria is planted near it, so it should.
What a difference a few degrees of latitude make. lol
I think our grass would have been a little bit greener by now if it hadn't all been dead from drought last summer.
we have little tiny tidbits of green here and there. Even found some almost microscopic flowers at the park today. It's supposed to get to 70° but it's only 58° so far.
We have grass here. Lots of it. Our yard needs mowing too. Tulips are out downtown. I took a picture of them yesterday.
There are some flowers that I took a photo of this weekend.

I FB message a gal that offered to do church pictures (and got paid $200 on the spot) last April. A free portrait went to the person who brought the most family members. It happened to be a new convert, very exciting. However, a year later, I'm still waiting for this picture. It's frustrating enough that we didn't get it, but it was the WINNER and a new convert who worked very hard to get her unsaved family to church that day.
Amazingly, the photographer responds that she'll mail it and thanks for noticing that she has moved.
!!! Um.. I'm sorry, is that an excuse for why she didn't follow through for what she was paid to do? MONTHS later she had gotten married and moved. Apparently after 4+ months I should have given her a break... :-?
Just drank some Aloe Vera Juice, they say it is good for Colitis and is suppose to even help by soothing the pain. Well I am almost sure that licking a skunk might taste better.

Tomorrow's my day off, but I didn't know that until yesterday... they had me on the schedule to work six days and get overtime. :D I should have kept my big mouth shut and gotten overtime, but I know the boss gets in trouble when people get OT. So they had to scramble and find someone to fill in for one of my days.
On a related note, I'm low on bread so I'll be making some sourdough. Anyone want a loaf, stop by sometime tomorrow night and pick it up.

Man I'm still loving this i5 processor in this new computer. I just ran a batch process on some music files - increase volume and export as .wav files. Heretofore I have always bought used computers, and I am accustomed to a batch job like this taking about 15-20 seconds per song.
This time it ran so fast it was hard to keep track of which song it was on. Maybe 4 seconds per song, for very long songs.
Time for some churchwide prayer and fasting Eric? Or are you all doing that and this is happening? If so, God may be making room for some sincere people.

You would be surprised how much stuff the electric company casts aside. My uncle was a foreman for a repair crew until just a few months ago when he retired. Went to the telephone pole place...spent a couple hours taking the ground wires off that were on most of them....got most of that off and ready to cut them up....the lady said her husband would help me with them next week.... Truth be completely told they probably decided they were afraid I'd cut my leg off and sue them. :smirk2: lol Don't know why they didn't think of that before now though.... But, I shant look a gift telephone pole in the mouth. Some help will be nice anyways..... The stinkin things are HUUUUUUGE....Lord....
Not having anybody to help you and having to do things by yourself calls for one to become an industrious little buzzard.

I have lost one of my external hard drives. I was going to load it with a fresh updated copy of my music collection and stash it in my office at church. Off-site backup is very good, what if something wrecked everything in this house? But I can't find it to load. Grrrr...

And in sharing- I am so happy, it's down right ridiculous. Today was a GREAT day! A couple of sharing threads ago, I posted about receiving my evaluation and being overjoyed to discover a nice bonus attached. I didn't think it could get any better. I was wrong.
The end of the month will be my first anniversary as a state employee, and I had been told that with that milestone, I would receive a promotion and a slight pay raise. Being as how my boss had really went to bat for me on my six month raise, I did not anticipate much, if any, raise this time around. I had also saw a coworkers checkstub when he left it laying so as it couldn't be missed, leading me to believe I was near the top end of my raises. Today my boss walks out and hands me a slip of paper with two numbers on it. "The first number's what you make now, the second what you will be making on the next check." I thanked him and stuck the note in my pocket. Later, when I was alone i looked at it and nearly had a Holy Ghost spell- a $1.25/hr raise! :o That more than makes up for the gas prices, ect. I immediatly called the pastor to inform him of his raise, as I had gotten one. :laughhard: My God is so good and what a provider! I know without a doubt I'm in the will of God now!
Found the flash drive, loading. 95 gigabytes takes a while... I'm just :) I HAVE that much music. Weeeee!
Glad to hear it five-oh. Maybe you can get your boss to talk to my boss?
Seth is this bird keeping what you do for a living? You seem to spend a lot of time on it, and you never mention having a job or anything. How do you make it pay? Just curious.

Time for some churchwide prayer and fasting Eric? Or are you all doing that and this is happening? If so, God may be making room for some sincere people.
well, some of us have been.. But I never thought of that!
Sis, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. :-(
Officer Bob - Woot! Congrats to you! I'm happy for you!

Thanks for the headpat....I could use something with a little more elbow grease than that though. :smirk2:
Went to church came home.
I'm unemployed. Bird business helps take care of itself. Wish it was sufficient to live off of...but it takes a big operation for that.
Yea verily, unemployment doth mightily stink. Sorry to hear it. :-?
UGH. Long. Day.
Dad is the same. And I spent pretty much all day with him. Then went home briefly to change clothes and go to church. Then mom ended up in the ER, had to go pick her up. I'm exhausted. I'm stressed out. I cried all through church and it wasn't a move of God causing it. I broke down after church when a friend asked a simple question about dad, and I'm just frustrated, tired, stressed and whatever...
Getting up extra early cause I have to take mom back to the hospital to get the van. And then go keep Parker. It's gonna be another long day.
OY.
/me hugs Mel
What was wrong with your mom?
Her blood pressure was stroke level they said.
That would have been lovely. BOTH parents on the hospital.
Sheesh.
Sorry to hear that Mel. And when you're worked up you won't be able to sleep well, which will just add to it. :frustrated: Been there.

Having a good time at Music Conference!
Lots of cute guys!
The water is softer here than in Texas lol...
Oh and Indianapolis is kinda ugly looking. Lol maybe it's the time of year?
Did you meet Lawanda, 5-oh's wife?
:pound: Jenn
Guys are not cute! They're handsome, they look good, they're cool (or none of those things, depending on the guy in question... I'm not very high on any of those lists) but they are not cute! Girls are cute, puppies are cute, kittens are cute, men hate to be called cute.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot the reason I stopped by...

This is correct. She's quiet unhappy about it, too. She was wanting to see about getting a set of cd's, or whatever they do, from the conference, since she couldn't make it this year. I'm gonna look online and see if they have a way to purchase them, I'm sure they will. I think next year, I'll just buy her a plane ticket- no whining and peace for me. :laughhard: :sing: There will be peace, in the valley, for meeeee, that day! :sing:
Oh, and good morning, all. Mel, take care of yourself...... it's easy to neglect yourself when you're dealing with ill parents and situations like you are now. Been there, done that. We'll be praying for you.
Howdy y'all. Another day at w*rk, then I can get back to hassling with this sick computer. Maybe I'll just take an axe to it...
Seth I don't know how you stand it. I'd go crazy. Well... more crazy.
Ha.....I have more work to do than I am ever going to get done. There will be no end to it.
I feel better this morning. Mom and I had a talk on the way to town, and I told her why I had such an attitude last night. Not all of it, but she got the point I think. But I'm not as frustrated or as upset about things as I was last night. It's lots better today :)
Good morning my friends. :D
I'm at my cousins house. Parker is still sleeping. Lucky Boy!
Well I wiped out the computer and the bad sectors are gone. (Not really gone, just pulled from the disk catalog.) Maybe it was just a few - I'm hoping the whole hard drive isn't going bad. Really hoping hard because a laptop hard drive is still expensive. If I do have to get one, I might just say fergit it and buy a solid-state drive, i.e. flash-based hard drive.
In other news, my bread turned out different this time around. Didn't rise as much and it stuck to the pans worse than I've ever seen before, but the texture was interesting. More elastic and flexible than normal, without being gummy like store bread. I have no idea how I did it and no idea how to duplicate it. ???

Parker is up and we have already watched The Incredibles, and now he is eating his lunch and Watching Charlottes Web...When he gets done with lunch, Im gonna get the wagon and take him for a walk.
_I_ need the walk. I need the exercise, and I also need to clear my head on the beautiful day. Then afterward, maybe he will take a nap and Ill get to snooze on the couch. ;)
Yea Sandra, I saw that post when Roscoe asked me and I answered him right after that.
Oh and Roscoe, I do think you can order it all. You can order it all now, so I don't know why you wouldn't be able to order it online.
Went for a LOVELY walk down the road and back...Its wasnt very long, but it was great! Parker was already sleepy...I put his bubble machine in the wagon and we shared the love all the way down the road...till it fell over and spilled all the bubble stuff out. (*mental note, next time take the bottle of bubble stuff for a refill*)
Now Park is sacked out in his room, and Im gonna lay on the couch and snooze a bit! I love the fact that this boy loves to sleep! Hah! What a GOOD BOY!

Went down to the creek and got a trailer load of rocks, brought them up to the chicken pen to lay them on the hillside for erosion control. Downpoured rain. Let up, but rained on and off, so worked putting rocks out with an umbrella in one hand for a large part of the time. Got them out there finally and got the truck and trailer back out of the pen. Wet and dirty, took a shower.
I need another load or so like that I think still.

Hectic day at work today, even for a Friday. Nobody knew why until the boss's son mentioned more than half the school kids were laying out today. They had Senior Layout Day when I was in school, but I never did see the point... people pay lots of money to go to college, why would you skip school that the state is paying for?
But anyway, really busy day. Also a really fast day. I looked at my watch and almost jumped out of my skin... how did it get so late so fast?

Purple fuzzy, I don't think I said Lou was going. If I did, I misspoke. She wanted to go, but time and money did not cooperate. Good Evening, all. Just got home, been stuck at the hospital most of the day. My aunt had to have emergency open heart surgery. She came through the surgery, but 40+ years of extremely bad choices are catching up to her. Doctor said her lungs were as black as night thanks to years of smoking.
Well. I'm at the hospital. Left Parkers house and came here. Mom isn't coming back this evening, so I'm here now.
They have said that the heart cath could possibly be done on Monday. But it's according to how much fluid he can get rid of over the weekend. So he is here at least till Tuesday or Wednesday...depending on what they find when they do the test.
So. That's the scoop. And I'm TIRED! I'm fixing to walk down and grab some grub. I'm hungry too.
:hi:
Been fooling with fowl and junk and stuff.
Been fooling with computers and junk and stuff. This computer I want to set up for two girls on my bus route, it's the only one that will NOT reach to my uncle's wifi (he said I could tap in if I wanted.) I can't download all I need to on my AT&T modem because I'm too close to monthly 5 gig limit. And the computer that is being set up really needs to be the one that is downloading because Linux package manager works better in realtime. Grrrrr...
wow you have a limit? didnt know they even did that anymore lol
I think Cooper has a flea.. :/
Yeah for mobile broadband they do. On the upside I could be out in the woods, at church, at work, anywhere you can make a call on your AT&T cell phone I can get online with my laptop.
This mobile broadband isn't something I'd recommend for everyone, but for me it's pretty good. Just that 5 gig per month limit... They don't have any other plans.

poor coop, you shouldnt let him near seth lol
wow my mobile broadband is unlimited with my blackberry.
That is Blackberry. This is AT&T. Maybe we can get the folks at Blackberry to explain to AT&T how to treat customers, but I seriously doubt it.
If Blackberry did broadband for laptops maybe I'd switch. Maybe they do... Gonna look into it.
Never mind, it seems a blackberry needs a provider... like AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, etc., the ones I've already considered. I'll stick with what I've got.
Home from youth service. Good times. Now just hanging out with my Topher listening to some music.

Is he doing better Mel?
When I was up there tonight he was a lot better than yesterday. His foot is hurting him bad. They are not going to be able to amputate the toe till they find out what is wrong with his heart. So that's giving him a lit of pain. He was breathing a lot better today though. But still labored at times. They did take him off the oxygen for now. But still doing breathing treatments every two hours.
He seems happy and in good spirits though. You can call him tomorrow if you want. I can text you his number. He has been very happy to hear from all those concerned. :)

I don't usually use that smiley but this is just cause for it. In all the computer reconfigurations (new computer as music computer, old music computer as new internet computer, etc) I lost an album. For me, this is serious... I like music. And you can't buy it in stores. It was the Crabb Family: Light of the World, and it was a soundtrack program for church choirs to use. The demo is pretty good as an audio cd, but some guy keeps talking over the intros. So what I did was, I used a bit of the soundtrack cd tracks to replace his talking.
Now I have to do the whole thing all over again... If I still have the demo and soundtrack cds that is. Maybe I forgot to delete them from my computer at church.

If you decide to minister, do us all a favor and try to get the whole idea/passage in proper perspective of the Word before you present your attempt at a poetic (un)licensed gospel.

John 6:5-10
5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.
7 Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.
8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,
9 There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?
10 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand.

Those crowds were hungry. *snort* (Audience yells AMEN on cue while the organ player does some WAZOOOOooooo...... on the organ)
Those crowds NEEDED something to eat! (repeat snort and Wazoo)
The apostles went out searching to see what they had and found the little boy!
And that little boy came to Jesus! (repeat snort and Wazoo along with someone breaking loose in a glorified hoedown)
HE OFFFFERED HIS OFFERING (rinse, recycle and repeat with a few more snorts and Wazoos and a tightrope walker on the back of a pew).
HE GAVE HIS ALL! (insert here...)
BROTHERS AND SISTERS, HE GAVE WILLINGLY! (WAZOO from organ has raised a octive)
HE KNEW HIS MOMMA HAD PACKED IT FOR HIM, BUT HE SHARED WITH JESUS! (Snort has been replaced with a uh-huh and the cry from the pews is near fevered.)
HE GAVE HIS BEST!!! (Bro Joe breaks out in the aisle)
OH, WE NEED TO BE LIKE THAT LITTLE BOY!!!! (You don't have time to say amen, this place is jumping)
SOME OF YOU NEED TO GET OUT LIKE THAT LITTLE BOY AND GIVE JESUS YOUR BEST!!!!
*thus ends my televangelist voiceover*Forgive me for being sarcastic, but I realized when studying out the scripture, it says NOTHING even remotely close to that.
First, three of the passages say "All we have" is the five (John calls them barley) loaves and two fishes. John is the only one that says "There is a lad here..." as if to indicate that 1) the boy knew he had a lunch, and 2) wasn't about to share it. There is no mention of how he got here, how old he was, ect.
Now, what we can gather from that is this:
John 6:7 Two hundred denarii constitute roughly eight months' wages, since one denarius was about one day's pay.
Phillip was saying, Jesus, I/we have no way of providing for this need. Even at my best attempt, I/we cannot meet the present need.
John 6:9 Barley was common food for the poor (the more well-to-do preferred wheat bread). The fish were probably dried or preserved, possibly pickled.
It does not matter you status in life, God wants you to give to him. If its finances, give cheerfully. If you can serve, serve. If its ministering, so be it. Just don't hold back. If we can learn anything from the boy, it's this: Don't make God come searching for you, find him. And don't offer reluctantly.
Later on in Matthew and Mark you will find another story. This time Jesus fed the 4000 with 7 loaves and a few fishes. I was thinking about the 2 passages, and wondering...what if the person that had the 7 loaves in the second story was present the day of the first feeding of the multitude? Could it be that they were prepared to be a blessing? Looking back and saying "You know, the last time I went out, Jesus did this. I'm gonna be prepared today."
I think that principle bears out in scripture. Think to David. When he met Saul, he said (praphrase), "Hey Saul, I know God will take care of me. I met the lion, and the bear. God helped me then. Ill go face the Giant." He looked back to see what God did before, and knew God could do it again.
Maybe in studying both of these out, the great thing is the realization that someone was prepared the second time...

Definitely some interesting points about how things get inserted into the story that aren't even there and conclusions that could be made get overlooked. I didn't think though that the stories about the loaves and the fishes were parables.
Indeed.
While Jeremy is ranting about preachers preaching things about parables that are not in the Book, he himself is misrepresenting the Scripture by calling these instances parables.
You hypocrite.

Ok, before I get to far into this, let me say that I have been wrong twice in the last :worship: thirty seconds of my lifetime.
:ugly:
About time for me to head off to work. Hopefully today won't be quite as crazy at yesterday was. My shift last night I didn't get my break in until right before time to go home.
*rWooby just grins and shakes her head at GP in general*
Howdy everyone :hi:
If anyone is feeling violent and destructive today, feel free to come whack my head off. (*cough* Seth *cough*) Feeling quite miserable. Don't even feel like crocheting today. :o Bleah.

I was just thinking while ago, look, if we're gonna attack Libya, let's REALLY ATTACK LIBYA, and take the stinkin' place over, and get whatever oil and junk they've got. :smirk2:
Been rootin and gommin still.... Got a brooder area set up for starters...probably take some chicks out of the incubator after church maybe... Speaking of which, gotta clean up to go to church in a minute.
Well. I might be able to go get a good nights sleep tonight. Dad had his cath and he does have blockages and his kidneys are bad, but they are going to try to treat him with meds and a diet.
I am so tired, but relieved that we are on the up slope now...I think.
Thanks for all the concerns.

This made me giggle because there was actually a guy from work I was kinda sorta talking to/dating. That is until a few weeks ago when he informed me he no longer felt I was worth the time. Them low and behold who started txt-ing me last night. Boys are stupid!!! I told him I didn't have time to deal with him. I was on my way to church. Lol
Did he seriously say "I no longer feel you are worth my time"? :o
SHARING: Well I made it through the work day. Now to continue taking a can opener to this (deleted), (redacted), (expurgated), (censored) computer that WILL NOT OBEY ITS MASTER! :pound:

I meant to comment on that one, too, but then forgot. Good grief. He sounds like a *ahem* wonderful *ahem* person. And good reply, Heather. ;)

Home sweet home!
Nothing we can do at the hospital, so mom and I came home. I'm cooking some easy dinner, gonna get in my PJs and watch a movie that came thru Netflix. Then I may go to bed early.
Going to bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
home from church.. it was okay! I got to pray real good, so that was good!
Tired.
hungry!
I still have some chicken spaghetti.
I'll be right over with the sourdough bread to go with it. :fork:
Got a pizza in the oven here :fork:
Apparently I need five more music albums. My audio converter says I have 3,942 files in my main music collection (excluding classical, comedy tracks, christmas, children's church music/puppet team/sign team stuff...) Five more albums and I'll have 4,000 songs.
What, that's not a lot? I think that's pretty good for not downloading music. My music comes from audio CDs and old cassettes and records. Never download at all.
Yes, he actually said those words.
I'm having a terrible evening. I just don't belong anywhere but in my little lonely house living my lonely little life. And I found out yesterday I may not even have my little house come June :sadbounce:

Amazing. Although I'm a semi-pro listener I'm not good at talking, but even *I* know better than to put it that way.
I hear "lonely" a lot. So many of my friends keep going on dates because "I don't want to wind up old and lonely."
/me gives apg a hug
understand more than you know.
Well in my case the lonely isn't just in a 'relationship' sense. Since going back to church and cutting a couple things out of my life I've lost ALOT of friends. And people from church don't want to get attached to me because where I've backslid before. Either to not get hurt themselves or not to invest in me I'm not sure. I haven't heard from anyone from my home church since leaving after the dinner last Sunday. And my mom is already mad at me for even suspecting I'm going back to church and therefore has already turned my family against me.
So yea. Lonely isn't just in the romantic sense for me.....
just got back from krogers with my cousin
Went to church, came home. Been tending fowl and such. Took the first round of chicks out of the incubator.
Feels weird doing it since it's been a few months since I have done it....but it's like falling off a log....or is that riding a bicycle....whichever.... :P
Eating black bean platter. :P

Well, you can be lonely with us all.
Like Jeremy would say, the Bible says, When your father and your mother forsake you, GP will take you up.
No joke. This is literally the ONLY place I have right now.
Well that calls for a big group hug......
Not hearing from anyone in church doesn't mean they don't care. Maybe they're trying not to intrude, maybe they're afraid they'll seem pushy. I probably would.
 never hearing from people that claim to care proves they do not care. :end rant:

With birds you don't bother. Any that would need surgery can more easily be supper.

This just hurts my heart to the deepest part.
I HATE that we (yes if one does it, it makes us all look that way) as Christians turn our backs on someone who has backslidden, or just gotten off track.
This just made me cry Heather...I'm praying for you a friend.
A good Godly friend who will be there regardless of any choice you make!

I took about 25 out, and left maybe 5 or so to keep drying off, and that's only half the eggs hatched so far. And no, none that needed surgery, yet at least. Usually the chickens seem to hatch pretty good without need of surgical intervention, that was the case last season anyways.
Already need a new thread. Who was it, Mel that asked to make one?
Got it. I woke up just in time.
:hypocrite:
Must've been the Lord waking you up for it...
Either Him, or the devil....
We'll let the crowd decide over in the new thread.
