I don't fish so I guess I'll cut bait.  Depending on what is being used though, I might cut it, fry it and eat it.

For the record, Univibe rocks!  :thumbsup2:

Went to church, stopped at a convenience store to get a double dip ice cream cone, came home.

However old you are, however young you are, if you are too dignified to sit and lick an ice cream cone you're just too old.

For once, Isaac, my friend, I wholeheartedly and unreservedly agree with you.  :great: Only thing better than an ice cream cone is a dipped ice cream cone- you know, in chocolate that cools instantly to a hard shell.....mmmmm.

Depends on the hard shell.  Until just recently I worked at a place that did that, and their hard chocolate shell was mostly um... well, let's say it was not mostly chocolate.

Birds.  That is all.  :freaky:

Tried my first hitch at selling eggs on Ebay.  Both listings have bids...I hope they run them up sky high before it ends in a couple hours. lol

Never met Chester Wright, but I hope he's the Wright one for the job.  Sorry, couldn't pass it up.

Seth the bids will shoot up in the last few seconds with everyone using sniping programs.  Nobody ever bids high until at the earliest the last minute.

One just sold at the first bid amount...  The other one went up just a couple more dollars from where it was.  So much for my sky high dreams...lol

I did receive this wonderful :spam: message from "someone" regarding one of the items though:

To borrow Mel's favorite phrase- SMH.

Morning all. Back at work on my friday!  Little bit of a downer this weekend- boss cancelled my move to weekends off for the next couple of months. He was polite about it, asked if I minded..... apparently a  co worker has to have knee surgery and that puts us shorthanded on the weekend. I almost felt guilty having asked for the weekends off- they acted so concerned and apologetic about inconviencing me. So, I get to keep my Tuesdays and Wednesdays off until around July or August. Now I'm looking forward to the week of the 13- 18th. Car show weekend and my vacation week. Gonna have a blast!

Howdy y'all.  Nothing planned this week except work, and they cut down on voluntary overtime there, so if I get up and get with it I might get some music stuff done.

Up now.

Dad bought a huge box of tomatoes on Friday and they are SOOO GOOD. Home grown. But there are still a LOT of them left and we have been eating them like crazy! If we don't stew them down and freeze them, they will be going bad before we can eat them all. That's my project for today. I'm gonna go clean the kitchen and start on that project. Then later I'm fixing hamburgers for dinner and gonna go pray with my crew this evening.

Gonna be a good day. :bigcheese:

Melody those wouldn't last long here - I love me a big tomato sandwich.  With a little mayo, a little stoneground mustard, some good whole wheat sourdough and a whole fresh-from-the-garden tomato in slices about an inch thick.... mmm, yeah!

They don't last long here either...since the moment the box appeared, I have been eating them. Plain with salt, on sandwiches, sliced with the meal, in eggs...every way possible. But it's a BIG BIG box! I'm serious, we have been eating and eating these tomatoes and there is still a bunch left! And WE LOVE TOMATOES!

I've finished the dishes, and I'm fixing to go eat those tomatoes...at least two of them. :fork:

We've got one tomato plant that looks really good right now.  Hopefully it produces lots of yuminess....  Had my garden plans worked out this season, I'd have had a lot more, but that got tabled this time around....maybe next year?  *shrug*

Hang upside down like a bat...that'll let it all run to your head.  :ugly:  Hope you feel better quick....

TOOTIE, or anybody that is familiar with it....  If you are selling something on Ebay, do your listed items not show up if you do a search for those type of things?  Cause if I search "hatching eggs" or specifically the titles that I listed my stuff under, it will not pull up anything in the general search.

Is that normal, or am I doing something wrong, or what's the deal?

I had that happen last fall.  I didn't realize it but my tummy was swollen too.  It was a digestive infection because I didn't know I was sensitive to gluten.  I had no ankles for 4 days.

Well, she didn't act like she wanted to do that or like that was an option....

They're showing up one by one now.

I'll know for future reference at least....  She said if you schedule the start time the screening process starts as soon as you submit it....  But that's an extra little bit of listing fee....

In my future listings (if I can list anymore, seeing the luck I'm having with my new "lady" friends and issues...LOL), I may try to put up 3 day listings at the weekend so it will be over beginning of the week and I can ship then....

I am back at my residence, but it sure doesn't feel much like home anymore.

Could use your prayers, my legs and feet are swollen severely. I don't think I have ever seen them this bad. Pray the swelling comes down tonight. If not tomorrow I will be seeking medical attention.

*sigh*

Two ducks are MIA this evening.  Two of my runners.  Always the thing you least want anything to happen to that has something happen to it.  Holding out a shred of hope that they were simply hiding out in the grass somewhere for the night and I couldn't find them...that's out of character, but it's my only hope.

Well would you look at that!  Everyone at work sure did today.  So much for my theory that nobody notices shoes.  Everyone had to get a look at my shoes and ask questions and/or make comments about them.    :paranoid:

Post by: Lynx on June 07, 2011, 05:35:20 AM
Some liked them, some said they looked like swim shoes (!!!) and some said it would hurt their feet.  I can just barely see the swim shoes - I wore the black KSO because I am NOT wearing the leather ones to work at a factory - but they're not really at all the same as a swim shoe.

Be sure to get the KSO Trek.  They're more expensive but they are leather and oh-so-comfortable.  I should have gotten another pair of them instead of getting the regular KSO for my second pair.

Annnd.... I'm awake and moving. Barely. Gonna be a HOT day here in the south, no doubt, and most of my projects are outside projects- mow the yard ( if I can get the lawnmowers' belt put on)  mow the church yard, till  between the plants in the garden spot, and maybe work on the camper.... Somehow, I don't see all this getting done. :biglaugh:

Maybe I'll take advice from my own thread title- just go fishin'. Mini, drive down here and give me an excuse to fish, not work. :laughhard:

Well, the ducks appear to be gone for good.... :(  My guesses are coyote, fox, hawk, or dog if something got them, based on time of day, and no sign of remains.....

And last night something got "into" my live trap twice, eating the food out of it and throwing the trap, and scooting it around sideways from where it was sitting....  I don't know what did that....apparently something big enough that the door wouldn't shut down on it when it stuck it's head in, thus, not catching it....  I don't see any tracks in the dust or anything nearby.....

:-?

I hate creatures.

And speaking of creatures, people are so daggone weird....  Some lady bought one of my auctions with Buy It Now last night, and I packed and got her shipment ready already.  This morning she has messaged me asking what I call "right way up" as I say I place the eggs in my ad....  Well, first of all, I say I place them upright, not right way up...lol....  She says pointy end down is best.  Duh lady.  So I told her yep, pointy end down and air cell end up is upright.

And then somebody supposedly from Israel that wants me to ship something to someone in the US that can bring them to him wants something....  I don't know if he's real or a joke...  His feedback looks legit....

And as far as that goes, if you pay for it, I can send it to anybody in the US, and then it's your baby after that, not mine....  But I don't know if the guy is for real or a joke. lol

Welp, since I posted this morning, I got the everlovin' mess scared outta me.... One thing most of you don't know is that I am deathly scared of snakes. Screaming, crying woman scared of snakes.  :biglaugh:  I believe I'd rather face a loaded gun pointed at me than a snake.
So, Angelfluff and I get ready for our morning jaunt to the local store, and I discovered that I am out of gas for the lawnmower. Makes sense to get it now, and save a trip, so I step into my shop to get the gas jug.
Now, my shop is not the most organized, and I had left the main door partially open last night, this proved to have been a big mistake. I stepped into my shaded, dimmly lit shop- and something moves. Not just something, my God, it's  a snake. A big, black snake. I screamed like a little girl and ran one way, out of the shop. The snake did its imitation of a scream as well, I''m sure, because it moved in the opposite direction from me just as fast. The snake now has a nice, but slightly messy shop, complete with a VW Bug and the Weed trimmer I really needed.  :laughhard:

For once, I had left my pistol in the truck- probably a good thing, since the last time I saw Sir Snake he was hightailin' it behind my propane tank. I really don't know if I'd have had the wits to keep from shooting at it to get Sir Snake, had I had my gun on me.... :laughhard:

And now, I am paranoid about snakes. I keep checking under my desk where my feet are, even though there is no way a snake could get in here...

All the ebay sales sold....most did pretty well.....  The weird Israeli guy did get the one thing....  Hopefully he's real and gives me whoever's address it needs to go to and it can go to it and be hunky dory.

If not, maybe I can second chance the guy below him.  *shrug*

Well I had to go to the doctor. Both of my ankles are severely sprained. The doctor said it most likely happened when I fell down the train steps well over a week ago. Part of the swelling is from that and part is from fluid build up. So I got a fluid pill and was told to stay off my feet for awhile.

Would you look at that?  Whoops, everyone already is...

Last night I forgot my "normal" shoes and left them at work.  Today I came in and everyone was asking what was I up to last night?  They saw my shoes lying there and they saw what looked for all the world like footprints in the dust at line one, so they assumed I had taken my shoes off and run around barefoot - as if anyone, sane or insane, would run around barefoot on a yucky factory floor.

So the upshot is everyone on first shift now knows about my new shoes and were all talking about them, wanting to see them.  So much for people not noticing...   :scared: :sulk:

And whatever it is that's eating the food out of my live trap without getting in it, did it again last night....  I'm gonna get some stuff today when I go to town and poison it.  :)  I don't know what it is, but I know I don't want it prowling around. lol

That is TOTALLY better than the couch story!

You know, it seemed like it was going over totally normal until in the girls restroom my friend went to tap me backhanded on the arm to get my attention and instead there was a loud echo of knocks.  I had to try and explain it was a new kind of um... support...

yeah, not my best moment.  Now shhhh...  don't tell anyone.   :nono:

I'm keeping my LiviBug today!!

I don't have to be over there till noon though, so I'm up, fixing to unload and reload the dishwasher (Dad bought some Cascade!) shower and find some eats before I go over there.

Then I have sign practice with my kids tonight, we are doing a new song, and then church family prayer.

Gonna be a good day. :)

Well, after I got my egg shipments ready and all I was gonna go to sleep again for an hour and a half before I got up to go to town and do some things...

Well, 4 hours later, I wake up, at the end of when my egg drops were supposed to be done....

So I watered and fed things, got ready and went to town and did various things.....  Got a bunch of packing peanuts and newspaper and egg cartons at the recycle center, dropped the shipped eggs off at the PO, made egg drop, banked, feed shopped, other supply shopped, and so forth.  Came home.....made sure nothing was dying of heat stroke.  Catching things up here.

I have my poison to kill whatever is prowling around at night.  :up2:

I'm sure now there's a coon, but I don't know if that's all or there's something else...

Night before last something ate the food out of the live trap TWICE, but didn't get caught in it, tripped the trap, moved it around, and everything, as I believe I previously stated....

Well, last night, it tripped the trap and ate all the food...

Then come to find out this morning, a container of scraps sitting outside the house had been opened up and eaten....AND, what I'm sure was the handywork of a coon was discovered at the dove cage....it had climbed up on a fence post behind the cage, and pulled a dove out through the wire of the cage. :(  Nothing left but feathers.  That I'm 99% sure is coon's work....  Not sure if that's what's throwing the trap and ate the scraps or not...but, I'm gonna fix whatever it is some nice treats tonight and leave for it.  :)  *cough*

Related topic to this....the neighbor up the road that perhaps in the past I referred to as the pig farmer because he had a couple pigs (which he doesn't have anymore, he was just using them to root up ground where he was gonna plant things)...but anyways, he came down this morning wanting to know if I wanted some ducks he had recently got, because last night a coon got into them and killed the majority of them.  So I have his survivors.  One of them looks like it narrowly escaped, looks like the end of it's beak got chewed.  :o

Otherwise cute duckies....Khaki Campbells....he said they were Khaki anways...they look awful dark to me....I had some before, but can't remember how dark they looked...because there is such a thing as Dark Campbells as well as Khakis....  Anyways.....I digress.

K, this Israeli guy is not too bad, he gave me another extra $10 for the extra eggs I included....not making a ton off the transaction, but that helped a lot, defrays all the fees and handling expenses and such....

I hope he's Jewish and not a terrorist.  lol

Real Sharing?

Struggling a bit today. Exercised some self-control not to show what a jerk I am when a man hit me in the back with a door. He apologized immediately, and said he hadn't seen me. It was Glass doors, I was wearing all black, and I still weigh at least a little over 300#.

And, when you are having trouble taking care of just your own self, there is still the batch of people wanting you to do some extra for them.

Off to church in a moment.

Jason, how are you?

Brandon, if you are lurking, how did yesterday go?

I was a little miffed at an ebay buyer from one of my first auctions that left feedback, it was positive, but his only remark was "ok."  I was like, OKAY!?!  That's it!?  I included 6 extras, AND I even refunded $2 of shipping just to be nice because it didn't come out to that much...and all I get is an "ok?"

But, I looked at his feedback left to other people, and there are about 32 feedbacks to people that he's left that only say "ok."  So I'm not alone....

BUT, there's a few scattered here and there that got something like "a ok," "good," "very good," or even "great."

I'm still slightly offended.  LOL

Well I had to go to the doctor. Both of my ankles are severely sprained. The doctor said it most likely happened when I fell down the train steps well over a week ago. Part of the swelling is from that and part is from fluid build up. So I got a fluid pill and was told to stay off my feet for awhile.

Jason, Jason...you were already taking the train, you did not need to wait for the bus.

We did plenty of that, too.  The real kind of waiting for the bus.  Funny thing to find a bus stop on the steps of the train, though!

question of the day:

Why won't they make toaster ovens able to fit ordinary pie size pans?

My oven is broke so I thought, no problem, I'll use the toaster oven.  Ever seen an oblong apple pie?  goodness gracious.

oh and Hannah tried to make a little one in her easy bake oven.  It wasn't easy.  If anyone has little girls who love such things, make the little pie very shallow, which is the equivalent of 2 slices of apple.

Well, the "creature" has made it's faithful return.... :smirk2:

Checked the live trap behind the garage - trap is thrown.  This time it didn't look like it ate much of anything out of it....  It had been baited with dog biscuits before, but it was peanut butter & fly bait tonight...lol....  And a second dish of it I had sitting outside the trap didn't look like it'd been bothered.

But, then out front by the dove cage, I had a dish of it...and the dish and all is gone....I couldn't find the dish anywhere...  And the doves were all edgey...poor things...rightfully so...after one of your own has been brutally murdered by an evil fiend that pulled it kicking and screaming through the bars of a wire cage piece by piece....yeah.....

Seemed like I heard something rustle down over the hill in the grass....looked around a bit but didn't see anything...  Don't have a flashlight worth a hoot....  I'll explore in the daytime and see if I see any signs of anything....

I didn't open the trap back up...but i broke up a couple dog biscuits and added them to the dish sitting out back there....

This/these creatures must be stopped!  :demand:

So.....

As of this morning, the "creature" came back to the dish behind the garage, and ran off with it.  I found it up on the hill empty.  It also reached through the wire of the trap and fished out what was in there and ate it.  I found the empty dish from out front, down over the hill out there.  It (or they, I don't know if there's one thing or many), also tore into a little bag of trash out front.  AND, got in the chicken compound, and under the bean crib and killed 4 of my baby geese!!!!!!!! :getangry:    Only remains of one of them left behind.

It is a ravenous beast, and it must be stopped.  I hope it dies a horrible death from the poison.....

In other creature related news, there's been this stray dog down the road hanging around the pasture at my sister's.  This morning the goofy hippyfied neighbors next to her, were driving down the road from up the holler direction, luring that dog along down the road with some food or something.....  If they want it, they better keep it.  Cause if it comes up here and I catch it around here, best case scenario is I haul it's sorry butt to the pound, worst case scenario, it eats some poison or gets pumped full of .22 shells.

Our lead firearms instructor recently left the department , leaving just two of us certified to teach firearms. I got my certificate primarily to have, and to assist and haven't been actively involved in teaching. Talking with the chief today, I managed to let him talk me into a corner and out of my comfort zone. Now I'm the lead instructor... :o Lord, help us all.

DUCK AND COVER!  DUCK AND COVER!

I mean um... er...

Teaching is good for you.  It makes you realize just how much you know about the subject and forces you to organize what you know into rational, communicable thoughts.  It has been said that if you want to really learn something, teach it to someone else.

Given your perspicuity and native intelligence I'm sure you'll do fine.  Just teach them all the stuff you wish someone had told you before. ;)

Seth, I think you should camp out there, since it's warm enough and just shoot them as they come along.   :2gun:

They don't come out till late anyways so you could get some sleep.

Racoons are so smart.  We used to run a camp ground and they would wreak havoc in the dumpsters.  (http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg2/BigDawg1218/th_raccoon.gif)

the videos of raccoons are interesting...

I may set steel traps, etc. tonight, and try to wait in the garage and see if anything shows up....  Can't see to shoot in the dark, but I can try.....

At work on my monday. Don't quite know how it happened, but I talked myself into more job related duties today.

I'm getting a lot accomplished today. I got supper in the crock pot, I've washed, dried and put away three loads of clothes, I have two more to go, I'm burning CDs for the sign team to give out tonight, and I've cleaned the kitchen and shucked some corn. I've also made a few needed phone calls, and I'm about to get a shower and eat dinner, and go to church.

Yeah. I feel good about all that.

Still gotta pack for the weekend. Got to keep Livi tomorrow, help cook for the soup kitchen, then we have a girls lock-in at church, and then Saturday I'll be serving at the soup kitchen. After that it's a Youth staff meeting, then a nice long chat with one of my friends (yes we made an appointment!) then home late on Saturday and church Sunday!

Great weekend ahead! ;)

Laid in the floor and napped.  Gotta tend fowl a little, then clean up for church.  After which I shall come home and tend more fowl, and then try to stake out a death trap for any predator that is not dead and returns.

I don't! I have church on Wednesdays.

I've been in a out this week. I missed church Sunday PM, and last night; plus Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of work.
I spent just a lil bit to much time in the sun, and got 2nd degree burns on both my arms; from shoulder to elbow. I've been unable to move.

Worst pain in my entire life and I've been shot...in the lip.  :smirk2:

But I worked today and am on the mend. The silvadene is doing it's job!

Went to church, came home, tended fowl.  Laid traps for the predator....

Came in and did some incubator stuff, and went out to check  if it'd been around yet....it had...hasn't messed with the traps behind the garage yet...but it went through and tore up a snare dad set by the garage, and it had been down in the tractor shed (next to the bean crib where the baby geese used to be), because there had been an egg laying in there, and I had just left it.  And it has broke and ate that egg.

This thing is some mutant monster.....or thingS, I don't know how many we're talking here.....it ate 3 dishes of poison last night....or something did anyways.....good lands....

The live trap, as well as a bunch of steel traps are set behind the garage....

And I think it probably made it's rounds out past the dove cage out front again, because one of them had turned their water bowl over and was sitting in the floor instead of up on the perch.

This is nuts.

Holy. Stinking. Crud.

Well, one less coon at least.  Need to do an autopsy and get a toxicology report to see if that's the one that ate the poison and still lived or not. lol

Been up all this time coon hunting.....literally....  When I was a kid my dad hunted all the time, I went with him when I was little and almost too little to keep up with him through all the hills and hollers....man, 25 - 30 years of time sure do change thangs....

So, what happened was, he went back out and refixed the snare, and put two out this time.  I came back in, did a few things, then I went out to put a piece of food next to the snares to make something to catch their attention so they'd slow down and not plow through so fast....  So I put that there, (out by the front corner of the garage), then I go back out across the front yard to the dove cages just to check things out again....lo and behold, I see eyes glowing on the side of the bean tree (catalpa tree) just outside the corner of the yard there...I hurry back in and grab the gun, and with my dim flashlight and poised gun go back out there, as I near, the coon goes up the tree.

So I call into the house for backup, cause I needed a light to see with....  We have no lights worth hooey....again...25 or 30 years ago we used to have coonhunting lights a plenty...lol  So Dad pulls the car up in the yard as far as he can to use a spotlight that plugs in the lighter....couldn't see from that side for the other trees....  So I get the Trailblazer and pull around through what's presently a hayfield, up the hill to the other side of the tree, and we proceed to look and look and look and look trying to spot it.  Eventually, Dad sees it....  So then we proceed to shoot, and look, and look and shoot and this goes on for some time....  Then I go fetch a different gun with a scope.  And more shooting and looking transpires.

Somewhere in the middle of this, I do check behind the garage, and at some point, maybe before we ended up with the coon treed, if that was the culprit, or while we had it treed another one did it, but it threw all the steel traps and had them all in a knot next to where the bait of a peanut butter jar stuck on a rod was.  It had chewed on the jar, got part of the PB out, and everything, but didn't get caught, just threw all the traps...

Anyways, looking and attempted shooting takes place, trying to keep track of it up waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy in the top of the tree.  I come in for some red cellophane to cover the light with so maybe it'll be more apt to look at us....and we look and shoot and so on....  I don't remember how many attempted shots actually take place....  So then finally Dad goes in to get yet another gun, a shot gun this time, meanwhile I look and look....and am about ready to shoot when he comes back out, cause I've discovered its eyes again...  He comes out with the shotgun, I hold the light on the spot I saw the coon, and he blasts the tree with the shot gun, coon falls out, THANK GOD IN HEAVEN ABOVE FINALLY.  Ding dong the witch is dead.

So that was part was over.  It was like a made for TV movie:  Mr. Magoo and Barney Fife Go Coon Hunting...I tell you what....  Oh, and in the midst of the shooting and looking, Dad also waited for the bus like 3 times.

Anyways, so I reset all the steel traps around the peanut butter jar on a stick.  See if anything else happens there for the rest of the night.  It never had tripped the live trap this time yet, which was right next to the other traps.

Lord.

We're getting a nice break from the warmth today with raininess in the 80's.

I think we're going to put Andrew back in p.s. this fall, if we can move to another school district.  Band, track, etc just isn't the same with only his sister. LOL  Hannah will still be h.s.

ROFL - you and your excursions Sethers...

I would have never made it in home school...neither would my mother. I don't think I'll home school either...I would consider a university model schooling, but never homeschooling and that's all.

I would do the SAME thing Seth! I'd have the creepy crawly feeling probably all day too.

So you need to get a shovel next time and put it in a bag asap.  Or did you bury it?

Jenn, homeschool has so many variables there's no cookie cutter anything for anyone.  When it comes to being his own person, Andrew does well with that.  But the school district we're in was totally failing him, and not communicating to me, making what would've been a small challenge, a big problem.  So, I homeschooled him for the academics.  We have a large church, cell group, lots of friends, etc. so there's no fear of him being an introvert or socially backward whatsoever.

He is caught up academically I believe and think that in an even decent school, he'll succeed.  There is a ministry I see God has for him when the time is right and I believe public school setting will only facilitate his developement in that as well as social/academic.

Hannah is also very social, and her academics are great.  However, it's her lack of resolve to be her own person or be more secure in moral conviction Yet, that makes homeschooling a better choice for her.

I don't know that I can explain it well enough and still emphasize that while I believe homeschooling is amazing, I also know people can excel further in the right public school setting rather than the wrong homeschooling enviroment.  There are just too many variables to nail down anyone else to one opinion other than for the little mumchkins God has put in my care. ☺

That being said, nothing is set in stone yet and living for God is often a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pantaloons journey.  We don't have a house so who knows, there may be another year of h.s. for the both of them.

Yeah, I've heard some, not from you but in general.  I've also heard from ex public school teachers who put it all out there and explain how and why homeschooling can be far better.  There are some terrible public schools and some terrible homeschools and amazing of both.  But I'm sticking to the "so many variables" stance. ☺  For us, in this particular school, it's not even comparable.  I've been told that they literally teach educators that homeschooling is unable to do as well as homeschoolers.  So it's a hard sell to someone who doesn't know any better.

*rWooby rWingo dances in and attackshugs various and sundry friends* I've missed you!! We've been sharing a cable around here for internet access (due to not having a wireless router yet) but that small difficulty is now fixed (hurray for marrying a brilliant geek) so perhaps I'll be able to pop in and say howdy a bit more often now. :)

I mentioned this morning that one of things we didn't get as a wedding gift was a blender (just sort of randomly, in my own disjointed and random way) and this afternoon when he returned from a running a couple errands, he had a blender in his hand. I'm blessed. And very spoiled. ;) And I'm not complaining about that. ;)

Thanks for all the well-wishing on our wedding day! We have lovely friends.

Seriously, I almost cried when I realized how many GPers showed up at the wedding. Having so many mutual friends there was... priceless.

I have figured out the perfect gift to give for a wedding shower.  A box full of the little things you use in the house every day but never notice.  A spatula, salt and pepper shaker, can opener, toilet plunger (well hopefully not that one EVERY day,)  broom, dustpan, light bulbs, rubber bands, pens, pins, etc.  It would save a lot of trips to the store to get stuff when the happy couple is starting their own home, and if they already have one of something it's no great loss having an extra one.

REASONS MY KIDS DO NOT NEED ANY MORE TOYS

By Tammy Rosenfeldt

~ They started off as babies who found my Tupperware drawer much more fascinating than their toy box.

~ The days I change the paper towel roll in the kitchen bring great excitement as they claim their new sword or telescope.

~ Their current toys are only exciting when I either reorganize them/put them neatly away or when I start my garage sale pile.

~ Who needs toys when jumping on my bed like the five little monkeys brings tears of laughter?

~ They are content to look at the clouds and find shapes - most recently Caleb claimed he saw Thomas the Engine. Really - just shouted it out while in the car.

~ To make one of them want to play with a toy, all I have to do is give it to the other one. Suddenly, that item becomes the best thing in the whole entire world.

~ The days I mop the kitchen floor and move the chairs into the living room are cause for adventure as they build tents and "dark, dark rooms."

~ A flashlight brings amusement to all for hours.

~ And my personal favorite - the other day they literally fought over who got to play with the fly swatter. I really wish I was kidding.

Well, well, well.  If it isn't Shrewby....I actually was thinking of your earlier.

Not in a good way of course.  :hypocrite:  :P  ;)

Been laying in the floor sleeping.  Woke up and eventually got unstiff and awake enough to get up...lol

Went out to survey for coons or critters.  Took the one gun with me, well, that thing has issues, keeps getting jammed....  Lo and behold, there was a coon out there on the fence....had to come back for the other gun....  Went back out there and couldn't get the stupid thing to chamber the bullet....it was Mr. Magoo Round #2.   Finally got that going, and blasted it...a time...or two...or...whatever....  Come to find out, dad had set a couple snares along the fence, I didn't know he had put any out up there, but it had got caught in one...yay.  And now it's old nasty tick-infested self is laying there dead....  Surveyed the compound for any other intruders or carnage, and thankfully found none....especially since the gun was out of bullets...lol

But, these lightning bugs around here need to quit imitating coon eyes if they don't want to get shot.  :freaky:

Psssh, Lord.....

Did I recently mention the hatred of bugs?

Oh my lord.....there are, what I have learned to be - with some semblance of relief to know actually, grain mites all over the garage, particularly crawling around on all the feed bags and areas near....  Horrendous....yet a relief that it's not poultry mites....Thank God....poultry mites are nearly impossible to totally avoid when you have...poultry (imagine that)....but with some treatment for them and things on occasion, they stay at bay fairly well....

So these grain mites mortified me, but upon a bit of research and finding their identity, it's not so awful....I mean awful that these bugs are everywhere yes, but a relief to know they're just looking for and living on grain......

Lord.

Plus this nasty coon which is probably tick-ridden needs disposed of.

I think I'm just going to set everything on fire and burn the whole place to the ground.

That'd also get rid of the roaches that live in the cages and buildings around that apparently also eat bird feed....

Good night, Irene.....

I am nearly through another saturday. We've had a girl in the capitol having wedding pictures taken that looks like she's all of twelve years old. There's no way this kid is old enough to get married, yet she had her entire family gathered at the capitol while she was photo'd in a wedding gown. Perhaps I'm just getting old and everyone looks younger....

Your last statement is very true.

*cough*

:pound: Methinks the pot calleth the kettle black..........
And Mini, it WAS a valid comparision.... :laughhard:

My head is not empty. I'll have you know its full of nonsense.

Isaac, that IS the perfect gift. For reals. We had a friend do that for us, and it was amazing how many times I realized I needed just one basic item for something, and went to check her box, and lo and behold! there it was. :) It was a HUGE help. She had wrapped the whole thing in a laundry basket, too, which was also a very cool practical gift in itself. :)

Cheesy, yes, alas for you, I am back. :P

Sharing.....Oh, Lawd. Lou and Chey went to a dear sweet lady in our church's house, leaving me with the evening alone. Now, I should've been outside working on something or otherwise gainfully employed. Instead, I've laid down and took a nice nap. I then discovered that a large pan of Lou's left over lasagna and me ,bored and hungry, are a perfect match. I've ate so much I'm ashamed, and wish I had someone here to roll me back down the hall to my comfy bed- I don't know if I can make it alone. :biglaugh:

I know Mel is going to ask a billion questions, SO I decided to put my business here so that we can all share in the fun. I will now explain the events of our ETW girl's lock-in.
Also the reason for this lecture or CRITIQUING is due to my behavior this morning and my random absence throughout the day.. I DO HAVE AN EXCUSE.. ( even if excuses only sound good to the ones who have them.).

Lets get started shall we?? Mel, as soon as you make your presence known we will continue.

Yes!! WHERE WERE YOU?!?!

I get up, smile at Holly on my way to the bathroom, 20 mins later, after I've showered and dressed, you, Holly and all your belongings have DISSAPPEARED!! WHAT?!

Then you don't answer anyones texts, and we head off to ODB without you! And our AMAZING and downright HILARIOUS Innovate meeting, and you missed it!! (you also missed my showdown with Lou...she officially hates me, and I don't care!)

I'm upset at you, Mymbir. :sadbounce:

*HUGS* Ruby

And for MY update...even without Kimber today, we had an amazing time. I am SO TIRED!! And I spent THIRTY SIX straight hours with my unbelievably sweet and amazing LiviBug. *happysigh*

SO here I am dead tired and some chick in the corner is talking about living next to Charlie Brown! Then the other girl replies "YEAH but if I was a kitty cat I would play in your hair..."
DELERIOUS?!!?  Cha Yeah I think so...
I wanted to KILL .. Just sayin.! It was only like after 2am. OH AND THEN You know who decides to get pizza after we all decided to sleep. She was smacking so loud. I wish you would have had the chance to drug her in the beginning as planned. She was like "HEY LOOK IM EATING PIZZA" uh duh.. we heard that! It's dark HOW does she think we will see?
the same SOMEONE also was excited to have a sleeping bag, then says " How do I use it? " she was joking right? :o

That doesn't explain WHYYYY you left us this morning. Even after your "shut up and deal with Lou-if I have to go to Daily Bread tomorrow you have to too" speech.

And you know who came and climbed in MY bed and said y'all were making fun of her...I told her that it was after 2am, and if she would lay down and BE QUIET! that y'all would leave her alone, and to GET OUT OF MY BED!

But your comment to her after she returned to the living room had me laughing SO HARD! I almost fell off my bed!

So yeah.

But, Anyways.. at some point, towards the butt crack of dawn, my body shut down. I must have slept hard because I was still tired and felt dead. Holly says I was snoring! I so do not recall this.
I am awakened by Holly at 6:45 after like ten minutes of sleep. In the background is all the girls chatting. The same Chick previously mentioned was now saying " Yeah But Johnny Depp is SOOO Fine.! " .barf here.
Holly says at this instant the look of satan was evident on my face, I rolled over and continued to snore for another 15minutes. Again, I do not recall this. I was awakened a second time and she informed me that she had to go. Her stuff was packed and ready. She had gotten no sleep and if she heard one more little girl comment she would hurt someone.

So we packed up loaded it in the truck and I sent her to get a doughnut until I could work things out.

Sounds like a bunch of weirdos to me.

So today there was supposed to be somebody from KY come up and get some ducks....  I had the older ones they were gonna get separated off to themselves for easy picking....

Well, they were supposed to be there around mid-day according to what the guy said yesterday....  So this evening I had done gave up on them.  Let the ducks all back together.

Was in the house LITERALLY stepping into the shower to clean up for church, and my dad hollers that I have a customer....  So I had to throw some clothes back on and go rustle up the ducks.  Got that all done and pretty well was within schedule.  So then cleaned up and went to church and came home.

But let me back track on the bug topic....ugh, I feel like I have bugs all over me after all the bugs I've looked at today.  It's really unsettling if you stop and LOOK AT *cough* things REALLLLLLY close and watch, how many stinking bugs you see running around on things....  I couldn't even close my eyes while singing at church without seeing bugs. lol  Lord....*sigh*

So anyways, home from church, and when I pulled up, sounded like some commotion out at the dove cage....  Low and behold, another daggone coon has already been back trying to reach in their cages.

Tended fowl, set traps and such.  Went ahead and hid the doves in another cage, poor things.  Moved the live trap out there.

Anyhoo....  Here after while I'll make a survey of the place and check for any signs anything's been back.

I'M TIRED OF THIS!  Everywhere I go I'm surrounded by a pestilence!  lol

I totally forgot about the whole shut up and deal with it spill I gave you... I must know details..

Also I heard hyper girl go to you in your room whinning. I wanted to high five her face.. but this would have brought a fit of continuing high fives. so I kept to myself.  I never knew I was violent until a night with teenagers.

So I sent holly away, then Heather is sitting in her car watching as we pack and ask if we are leaving. I tell her that Holly has to go and I wanted to make sure I could leave. She informs me that she is leaving and that she didnt think sister krissy would be pleased if I left her with everything. .. UMMM.... Im trying not to panic so, I ask if I can get a ride with her then. She says she's going to take a test and that I will have to just go around with whoever until innovate then she had a meetin after. I was already tired, ill, and my sister is visiting. I want to win holly, not pressure her to stay so that she never returns. do you have any idea how hard it was to get her to come!!!
Title: Re: Time to Fish or cut bait (newsman)- talk about it in Sharing 4-3-8
Post by: kmymbir on June 12, 2011, 04:34:57 AM
where was I?

Oh right, so I'm like okay I'll stay. Because I'm a big push over and all the lessons mom has given me on how to say no and stand up for myself never paid off.
So here I am crying because Holly will be back, I have no ride, not sure how to talk Holly into staying. I can't leave. I realize we didnt plan what I'm to do with all these kids until ODB..
It was a hard few moments. Then I got tired of having a pity party.

I went to sister Krissy explained I dont know what to do with Holly. Apparently Holly had made plans I was unaware of for today and texted me and she was like havin a mad fit in the car. So Krissy told me it was okay. That she could take it. I felt wicked horrible about it all.. I get in the truck to leave just to hear holly half way home about how I wasnt going to let her leave. AHHH.. I finally looked at her and just cracked up. I was still so tired It just all got funny. By the time we got home I had her laughing to .. so I felt okay about her. But now i'm still hating that I had to leave there and cant help. No telling what Heather thinls about me.

Apparently I am not using spell check. I am still sleepy. I also type slow.
So I get home send Krissy another apology text, and then we have a family situation.. long story you know family drama. In the end mom would of had to come get me from down there anyways because they needed me here today and by riding home early it saved gas. this is the same family situation that left me without a phone all day. But, by tomorrow it should all be settled.
Then I finally check all my messages and here you are upset with me.. Girl please.. lol.. I just want to sleep. I did get a quick nap around 6pm .. but its not the same..

did I leave out anything?
Really I'm not sure what I should of done, I know there is always other ways you should of handled something. So for all of GP to see.. MEL I am sorry to have left you to face big bad Lou alone.. forgive me?

I have run into an interesting problem... I keep having to check to see if I have shoes on.   The way I knew I had shoes on before was because, no matter what brand, they were uncomfortable and I wanted to get them off.  These five-finger shoes are the first pair I don't want to take off as soon as possible, so the automated part of my brain that checks off things before I walk out the door doesn't have the discomfort to trigger the "yes I have shoes on" notification.  :-\

These odd quick jobs are not gettin it. I do have a praise report. I had lost my graduation papers and certificates stating that I am a dental assistant.. but We just found them. So I can apply for good jobs tomorrow.

Finished mowing...tended fowl....set coon traps....

Today at one point, I felt something on my arm and it was one of those blasted tiny ticks crawling....

Well....tonight, I found one attached to me.  And I can't even tell you where.  :o

Please keep me in your prayers tomorrow. I go in at 8am to be sedated and get what sounds like a full day of dental work started. Please pray these procedures are easy and problem free for the dentist and me. Dental work on me is usually an ordeal because I have bad roots. Pray God guides the dentist hands to get these teeth out with out any problems.

Gonna try and get some sleep. Goodnight Ya'll!

Something threw the live trap and ate the food but didn't get caught earlier.... And I saw a stinking possum walking along the fence, but I couldn't get the stupid shell chambered in the gun, and couldn't shine the pitiful excuse we have for a flashlight on the gun and look at what I was doing there, and the possum, so it disappeared while I was trying to get the gun to going....that makes me mad.  But, oh well.

My toe is killing me. Last night, I was headed outside, and I had on flip flops. I opened the door and I guess I didn't have my foot placed far enough from the path of where the door would swing, and the door caught my baby toe and toenail and very nearly ripped it off! The nail is just barely hanging on, and it was a bloody mess.

I've got it wrapped and held together now with bandaids, but it still throbs.

It's not a shot gun.  It's a single shot rifle, you just have to manually rechamber your shell for each shot.  That gun has a scope, so easier to hit something....I can't see to shoot, nor am any good at hitting anything otherwise without a scope...lol    The other main gun I have used a lot automatically reloads, so you can just keep shootin'.

Looks like this week will be a nice one with temps in the mid 80's.

eating leftover José Peppers.  The California quesadilla is good, I think I'll have to make these for dinner sometime.  Cheese, chicken, bacon, spinach w/ some pico de gallo on the side.

Our entertainment lately has been all out comedy. There are some reality tv/documentary type shows on Netflix that we have watched a few episodes of.

Swamp People: Louisiana bayou cajuns hunting alligators.

Billy the Exterminator: an otherwise wussy looking guy dressed like a biker punk catching/exterminating all sorts of stuff from spiders to ferro hogs.

River Monsters: this guy travels all over the world and tries to catch whatever the local legend is in the freshwater areas.

Ice Road Truckers: in Canada these truckers have to carry supplies during a window where the water is frozen over.  People are crazy.

I can't totally decide if they are crazy, hilarious, or facinating... lol

Jason, praying.

Seth, as some semi-serious advice, and an investment in fowl pest control, why don't you use/buy a 20 gauge pumo? You cold load it with #6 or so shot, to get a pattern you could kind of P&P (point and pull). That should knock down the critter, and use another shot to put it away.

You could even alternate loading #6 and sluigs in the shotgun, for the knockdown and the finish. The 20 has some power without the recoil of a 12 gauge, can still give you a pattern, yet the 20 slug is powerful enough you can use it to legally hunt deer with in Oklahoma, during the right season.

Wht types of fireamrs do y'all have in ready reach?

Bob, you are ther firearms expert..what say ye?

Soo the SSS strikes again, huh?  I think possums are about the ugliest vermon there are, right up there with the naked mole rat.

For anyone that has prayed for my sister(s) in the past, I thank you, from the bottom of my heart.  Don'tcha know, my marine sis is so full of questions and glee right now.  She's been going to church for 3 weeks straight.  Yesterday, she said, she was praying in the HG to herself at church so as not to startle her new hubby too much since it was his 3rd time in an Apostolic church ever.  When along came one of the ministers and just said, "Becky, you've been holding back from just letting it out for the last 3 wks. Now you just need to let go."  And she did, and she was amazed that as she tried to say "Thank you Jesus" in English, the tongues just came stronger.

Oh the purest joy of a brand new babe in Christ.  She said she now sees how good it would be to pray in the HG every day like I had told her she could.  Makes me wanna shout!   (http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm209/religious-smileys/pentecostal.gif)

OH, and they have had 1 Bible study mtg so far, and are looking to find a good cell group. The minister teaching them the Bible study has daughters, one of which also works on the same base as my sis and BIL.  This is also the same gal that got my sis's attention with how she was able to look stylish and modest in hair and dress, which encouraged my sister that standards do not = frumpiness.  I tell you what.  God knows what we all need, and I'm thankful there is diversity in the body of Christ.  I pretty much have 0% fashion so I wasn't a help in that dept... lol

2) John, I think your suggestion of a proper gun for SingleShot is dead on- only variation I would make is I would've probably suggested a nice 12 gauge 870. Mainly because I come from the school of thought that bigger gun is better gun, and I've had a lot of experience in my job with the 12 gauge.

I agree, the 12 for maximum stopping power. I was thinking of folks that may not be used to the often sizeable recoil of a 12. Some newsguy I know owns one of each. :)

Except for starter gunsm, really light bird hunting or snake shooting, I see no use for a .410. I never got into the more exotic gauges, have you?

No, Bobby, I didn't say it was IN AR I said it was near the border.  It's not far from Mena or Ft. Smith.

Howdy y'all.  Going to first piano lesson with this new teacher today.

Nope, never have. Shot a 10 gauge once. Knocked me on my behind. Not fond of gauges that maul ME instead of the target.

Heavner is right on the border of AR isn't it?
And fuzzy, if it'd have been in Arkansas, they would have had no need to call it "Heavner'- they coulda called it "Heaven".

Morning, all. I have been a little slow this morning. Just got up. And I've a ton of things to get done. This week will be EPIC. Epic, I tell you! *"Epic" used under License from Mel's House of Language, All Rights Reserved. Ornryness shall prevail! Fixing to start the day... breakfast- piece of cold leftover pizza and a Dr Pepper. Habit left over from my single days.. :biglaugh:

I'm stewing tomatoes again. We just finished our last box, and dad bought another one Saturday.

So I took 13 of the ripest ones and I'm stewing them down with onions and seasonings, gonna put it in quart freezer bags and then we will have a stockpile in the freezer.

We did a whole bushel of corn on the cob yesterday. Came out with nine gallon bags full of ears. Not to mention the 6 other gallon bags that was already in the freezer.

This summer has been plentiful so far!

Yes. Heavener is about 20? miles from Ft. Smith. It has what may be runestones of early Viking travellers. It is one of the OK state parks scheduled for closing.

Mel, that makes me want to get to Farmers Market.  What a blessing to have that stuff handy.

I planted tomato, green onion, basil, carrots, watermelon, and a sunflower seed.  Then the stray cats used my flower bed for a litter box right afterward.  So I'm not sure if I'm growing what I planted or tending to really big weeds!  LOL  The pictures on seed pkgs only have the produce not the leaves, so I can't tell...lol If they are weeds, my neighbors probably think I'm crazy.

Just a small Canon, A1200.  Nothing fancy, but it does a lot of focusing and lighting stuff automatically.  Just won't store pics without a flash card.

Gone to work, ciao for now.  Don't anyone tear the forum up while I'm gone now, you hear?  Last time it took hours to get all the mud out of the carpet.  ;)

I had a weird dream last night. I think I ate ice cream too late in the evening.

We were subscribed to the SGR and had gotten a newsletter with pictures of various birds.  The kids and I were looking at them and all the sudden this guy walks in and says he's Seth.  Well, I've seen pictures and know that Mel knows him and I refute the claim so he reluctantly takes off a mask and is a really geeky bottle cap glasses, reddish brown curly hair just past his neckline.  Well I am totally creeped out and am trying to figure out which character he is from GP when all the sudden I turn around back to him and it's not a really heavy set lady with a completely butched haircut!  So then I think it's psycho, and woke up.

I think it's partly the late night food and that Psalm won't disclose who he is and where he's from and what he looks like.

Well, apparently my poor father had another outburst and issue over this deed situation today and went to see that stupid so-called land lawyer guy, who supposedly told him that everything is messed up....and he thinks he doesn't have a deed....  He's insane....  I'm going to have to talk to this stupid land lawyer guy myself and get him straightened out.  Either he has no sense whatsoever, or my dad is just hallucinating and insane.  I only heard the reports second hand from my mom and sister, dad hasn't said anything about it to me.  But I'm gonna nail this dumb lawyer guy down and see what in the blue blazes he thinks he's supposed to be talking about, because he has been ZERO help.

Other than that, hauled last night's possum off just now....laid it on the trunk of the car and took it up toward Chapel Hill....  My sister said her dog went and drug in part of one of those nasty coons I threw out down the road the other direction....so I didn't want the nasty vermin in my car, so I laid a papertowel down, plopped it on the trunk with a shovel, and hauled it up the road....  Probably will do that from now on. LOL  Even though, it had a turd attached to it which stuck to the car...but I drove fast enough to blow it off on the way back...but it made a skid mark which had to be washed off anyways.

Lord.

Why me?

LOL

Still having a lot of pain where he chipped a piece of bone off in my jaw while pulling a tooth. He put it back in place in hopes the bone graphs itself back in. Sure hurts!!!!!!!

Been trying to get some stuff done that's been piling up since the trip but don't seem to be thinking straight enough to accomplish much.

In other news some guy called my brother saying he was going to throw him in jail if he didn't come up with a large sum of money. It was some kind of scam that some guy was buying old public records online and using it to scare people into transferring him money. So beware!!

Nathan wants me to make brownies actually.

NOT A WORD PEOPLE.

Other than a great midweek service, have I mentioned how annoying it is for people to clip their fingernails in church?   :tearhair:

Did you have brownies last night with that ice cream before the strange dream? lol

Hilariousness.  You guys are so fun.

I should take some pictures tomorrow so you guys can help me identify my plants.  After looking at one of them that is about to flower, I'm pretty sure it's not a watermelon.

Nathan is watching an episode of Swamp People and one of the guys just poured a bunch of bleach into some bathwater because he said he smells too much like alligator.  :o

Yes! an ELDER even!  I shouldn't care. I don't care.  But the echo of it, sounds like she's got PVC for nails.

It doesn't get too bad though.  Last Sunday one of the ushers told a set of girls that they couldn't keep their styrofoam fountain drinks and RED gatorade bottle in the Sanctuary.  It's kinda funny really.  Perhaps they were REALLY ready to shout all out in worship so much so that they'd need gatorade.  hahahahahaha

LOL... no.

And that wasn't all the crazy dream either.  Part of it was some preacher prophesying to my friend that when she feels pregnant, things were going to improve in her life. She wasn't recieving it until I pointed out that he didn't say she'd BE pregnant but that she would just feel like it.  Another words: Menopause!  hahahaha  I have no idea if the 2 are comparable.

So wait a minute... does this mean that's what you think I look like?!  :o  Now I'm creeped out too.  I don't look all that good, but I'm glad at least I don't look like THAT!

I'm awake!...... It was bright and sunshiney all day yesterday with nary a cloud in the sky. Around 1 am, we had a thunderstorm move through so violently it woke me up- something I've had doubts that Gabriel's trumpet would do. :biglaugh: It flat poured, too. Then this morning, it's sunny and beautiful, no sign or rain..... that's the way it should always rain. At night, when it doesn't interfer with my plans.  :thumbsup2:

Gonna hang around the house a bit I guess. Got a guy that is supposed to be coming to get the Bug..... we'll wait and see. If he does, it's a dangerous thing. I'll have money Lou doesn't know about and a swap meet nearby, with plenty of time to browse.  :laughhard: It'll be HEAVEN!  Two things come to mind...... "Surely goodness and mercy follow me....." and  on a secular note, a country song I overheard the other day fits....  :sing: Must be doin' something right..."   :sing:

What to buy and drag home...... hmmmm.  :laughhard:

Mellow - As Rat's Nest said, looks like a tomato in the "pot." *cough*  If you rub the stem of it, does it have a strong smell?  It should....  I'm 99.9999% sure that's a tomato though.

The tall thing next to the flower looks like a weed to me.  I don't know what they're called, but looks similar to some common weeds I see.....  What are the options again if it could be some vegetable or other plant?

The one by Hannah's flower might be ragweed.  Cant tell for sure.

Really, that's what I thought, but I can't stand the sound of my own voice so... who knows... LOL  I was trying to not try to sound unlike myself even!  hahahaha

Ragweed?!  I'm allergic to ragweed and have been sneezing a lot this spring.

That just figures! hahahaha

I love it when Hannah says "It looks like weed...if it is, we're in trouble!"

LOL... I didn't even catch that, I thought she had said A weed.  Her "indeed" right after that is an impression of "Teal'c" on that show Stargate.

That one does not look like ragweed at all to me.  Ragweed has "lacy" leaves..for lack of better description....

But most assuredly there is no watermelon anywhere there to be seen. lol

There was one time here at the airport we had 6 or 7 British folk stop in at the airport.  They all talked funny...then I said something and they were delighted at my accent.  LOL

I'm back from the show. and just so every one knows, after reading the title of the next sharing thread- Mini, IT'S ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!  :laughhard:  I will have my revenge.   :pound:
The young man that wanted the bug has followed through. This has been the first positive Craigslist transaction I've ever had. The young man, called, showed up precisely when he said he would, didn't try to quibble and paid me the agreed on price.  :thumbsup2: I wandered around the mountain most of the day, and became quite the scrooge- everything I wanted yesterday when I had no money suddenly wasn't so appealing when I had cash- I like carrying around a bit of money.  Maybe I need to contract out with MY selling her "produce".... :laughhard:

Got a long week yet- gonna go see about getting some vinyl floor covering to replace the carpet in Chey's room...... :waving:

Bob... you and your PAPM inspired a sharing thread! That is a GrEaT honor... and highly unprecedented, epic even!

Just so we know what to name the next few sharing threads... are there any other feminine aspects of yourself that you'd like share??   :hypocrite:

Taco, thanks for the prayers!!

Mellow... *shakes head* Really now. MUST you be so blatant about your *ahem* issues?? And to get your children involved too?!? Gracious! :P ;)

Spaghetti tonight. Then church. Dad's birthday tomorrow. And probably coffee with Mom and Nana. Well... if Nana can manage to stay somewhat coherent tomorrow. *stifled sigh* Dementia is cruel. And it just gets worse. So thankful Chris is here now. Hugs may not "fix" the problem, but it's extremely comforting when you're hurting.

J is officially calling me "mom" all the time now. ;) Sean is still (apparently) trying to transition. Their choice - I told them whatever they decided was perfectly fine with me. :)

And there is my randomness for today.

Oh, one other thing...

Have I mentioned lately that I am totally, completely, head over heels in love with my husband? :2love:

:beret:

I just wish it was a "Friend" swap meet- I've got a Wisconsin Yankee and an Alabama Redneck I'd trade for a good, loyal, southern, fishin', huntin' , shootin' friend. For the right Southerner, I *might* be persuaded to throw in an Indiana Feathered Acquaintance. :laughhard:

Anyone interested?  :laughhard:
