Title: Ask teacheroftheLord
Post by: Tricia Lea on May 26, 2008, 05:00:59 AM
How do you like having your own thread now?

What is your favorite thing about GP?

:hyper:  Thanks TL, you're awesome!

I like the fact that there is always someone on GP to minister to me.  Whether it's to laugh with me, to cry with me, to listen to me, or just to distract me.  It's my home away from home, because let's face it, GP is a lot better than my real home.

Right now it's "I don't wanna go to school" by the Naked Brothers Band.  I think that will be my ringtone next school year.  lol

What is your favorite food?
Hard to name just one.

Favorite place to go out to eat?
I like the Japanese steakhouse. Or maybe Olive Garden.  Or the Little Greek

You mean your not gonna admit to having signed something silly like
:sing:  Come on ring those bells.  Drop the Christmas tree...

although we won't mention who did actually sign that, or so one of my sign teachers said
Title: Re: Ask teacheroftheLord
Post by: Ashlee on May 27, 2008, 05:04:28 AM
I've signed some crazy stuff in my day.  When I worked during the day, came straight from work (where I had already been signing all day) and signed a three hour service of a preacher who made up his own words and never finished a sentence.  Blah. Yeah, I've had some mess ups.  lol

And with that, I'm gone.  Goodnight all.

Oh my goodness!  I'm thinking that unfinished sentences would be REALLY hard to interpret!

What's your favorite photograph of the ones that you take?
(you have some REALLY AWESOME ones!!)

I like the one I took of my uncle, but I cannot post it.  Second would probably be this one

Or maybe the one of Ruby sippintea, or one of Ariel.  Come to think of it, I like the one of John in his elf hat as well.  lol

Of what would your dream job consist?
What about your dream man?
What do you like to dream about in general?
What is Shadow's middle name?
When are you going to come for another visit?
What would you in paint your bedroom if you were going to paint a mural?
What is a particular promise in the Bible that you claim frequently?
Do you get scared often?
What do you think about Mary?
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck had a chainsaw?
Do you really kiss frogs like your avatar suggests?
What's your weight loss secret?

Of what would your dream job consist?  Something to do with Science and Math and a lot of paperwork.  Or cooking.  I'd love to be a chef.
What about your dream man?  This one's harder.  Someone who I can trust with all my heart.  That's a big one.  Someone who has a great sense of humor, and can give and take.  A giving heart....loves kids....mature yet knows how to be silly....someone who I can learn from, but still is willing to learn....someone to care for me and teach me to be dependent....someone who will pray with me and study God's word with me and not laugh at my silly questions....someone who will laugh at my silly questions but still answer them....someone who loves me for me and not who he thinks I should be.....someone who will honor me and not down me to other people.
What do you like to dream about in general?  I don't dream.  I use to, but I just get hurt.  Right now my goals are to get a better job and move out.  What happens after that happens.
What is Shadow's middle name? She doesn't have one.
When are you going to come for another visit?  As soon as I can!
What would you in paint your bedroom if you were going to paint a mural?  A victorian scene
What is a particular promise in the Bible that you claim frequently?  There are so many.  I guess Proverbs 3:5-6 is one that most people rely on.
Do you get scared often?  Not really.  I can't think of many times that I've been scared at all.
What do you think about Mary?  She's awesome and I want to meet her!
How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck had a chainsaw?   No, the woodchuck would then be woodsawing.
Do you really kiss frogs like your avatar suggests?  no.  I gave up on that a long time ago.
What's your weight loss secret?  If I knew it, I'd tell you.  I'm proud!  I told the nurse that I work with about it today and she said, that's impossible. lol.  I lost 10 pounds in 10 days

dude... 10 lbs in 10 days is very possible... but not marketable.

Would you do photography on the side of your dream job?
Would you have a "Prince/Princess" themed wedding? (Since you're looking for a prince...)
What is your favorite quality about yourself?
What is your least favorite quality about yourself?
Do you write poetry or essays?
Can you draw?
Do you own WalMart stock?
Do you like Curious George?
Do you want to learn Spanish?
What's your favorite ice cream flavor?

Would you do photography on the side of your dream job?  Absolutely.  I enjoy it.  I want to take a few classes for that while I'm in college as well
Would you have a "Prince/Princess" themed wedding? (Since you're looking for a prince...)  No, I'm not a fan of the fufu stuff.  I like to be as simple as I can be
What is your favorite quality about yourself? I dunno.  I guess my eyes if we're talking physical, and my ability to listen if we're not.  I don't really think about it much.
What is your least favorite quality about yourself? You mean other than the 50 pounds that I can seem to loose.  I guess also my impatience and stubbornness.  And sometimes my words are too sharp and I can't take no for an answer.  Sometimes people just want to be left alone.
Do you write poetry or essays? I use to write poetry and I also have quite a few short stories and songs that I wrote.  I don't do it anymore.
Can you draw? not really.  I use to draw cartoon characters and stuff.  Won honorable mention for a picture of a baby I drew for 4-H one time.  Very basic though.
Do you own WalMart stock?  yes
Do you like Curious George?  yes
Do you want to learn Spanish? I would love to.  That would help with my weekly customers.  If only to know what they are saying about me.
What's your favorite ice cream flavor?  I like peppermint, but only certain kinds, also mint chocolate chip.  If I were to choose, I'd eat plain vanilla.

microwave, or stove top.   I prefer stove top.  Dangerous, but delicious.  :smirk2: That is, if you don't burn the house down.

Melting them in the oven might work if you make up the smores first.  same as you would do in a microwave.

Title: Re: Ask teacheroftheLord

Lighter...jab a marshmallow with a fork and set it on fire with the lighter...then get it is burnt as you please and then blow it out. Hold it over the sink so nothing drops on the floor and makes a mess or burns anything. Then slap it on your chocolate and grahams and enjoy...

Tried and proven. :bigcheese:

LOL. Dina.

Lemme see what I can find to show you.  Hard to explain it.

blah, can't find it.  aslpro signs it like promise.  umm, ok.  you start with two "d" hands up to the right pointed up of course, at varying heights, twist your hands inward, and as you are twisting open your hands to where it ends almost like an offering to the Lord.  two flat palms, facing up, varying heights.

Okay, S'mores queen:
How do YOU make s'mores in the microwave??

The poor marshmallows that I zapped the other night blew up about 4 times their original size in about 30 seconds, and the chocolate made a mess, and it was all really strange.  How do you recommend creating the perfect nuked s'more?
Title: Re: Ask teacheroftheLord
Post by: Ashlee on July 22, 2008, 01:07:32 AM
S'mores queen.  hmmm.

I always made them complicated.  lol  I put a cracker with a marshmellow on top heated it about 20 seconds, then put the chocolate and other cracker on top and heated it about another 10 seconds.  I think so anyway.  lol.  It's been too long.

Title: Re: Ask teacheroftheLord
Post by: Ashlee on September 12, 2008, 06:42:57 PM
I don't have any sickleave at walmart.  I just had to take a day without pay.  They understood, and even worked with us where we got paid for one day.  It's the school that's causing all the trouble. I guess I'll just have to go up a few Saturdays and watch movies all day or something so I can make up the hours.  I know nothing else to do.  Seems like a waste of my time, but I have no other choice.  I don't have to actually work I guess because I have no work to do with the kids not being there, but I have to be on the clock and present.

I have a key.  As long as I show up and clock in I'm "working"  It's stupid.  They closed the school for the hurricane, but we still have to make it up.  Oh well, I'll work and get over it.  Eventually

A friend of mine from Texas and also a man who I go to church with lost their homes.  They're now staying with friends/family and waiting for FEMA.  Life is rough.  It was harder with two hurricanes back to back.  It will take awhile for a lot of people to get back on their feet again.

How long has it been since you've seen a GPer?
Besides black roses, what other fav flowers do you have?
What was the best birthday gift you ever received?
Do you think Seth is jealous of all the guys paying Chel attention?
What was your latest, most favorite photo you've taken?

Do you think Seth is jealous of all the guys paying Chel attention?
Dunno, I haven't been paying attention. lol

What was your latest, most favorite photo you've taken?

Did you know that Calla Lilies are very symbolic in Latin American artwork? Frida Kahlo used them in many of her paintings.

Title: Re: Ask teacheroftheLord
Post by: RainbowJingles on March 15, 2010, 04:41:19 AM
Frida Kahlo was a very VERY troubled woman.  I took a guided tour of an exhibit that included much of her work when I was in Seattle about 7 or 8 years ago.  It was very strange at best.  She was a skilled artist, but led a haunted life filled with pain and conflicted emotions.
