Hey y'all, Heather just called me and said that they think her dad had a heart attack while he was at the truck yard. They are taking him by ambulance to the hospital. She is on her way there to be with him.

Prayers for all involved are greatly appreciated. Especially her and her dad.

Bah. You've both earned yourself another smite. I'm back at work. Slightly ticked off, as the 'vette STILL won't start. I'm contemplating trading it for a motorcycle as is, even though the car is worth twice what the bike is. But I'm tired of messing with the stupid car. :mad:

Luke 6: 28 is appropriate here......but I'm not that spiritual. Or maybe I just missed....the "Bless" button and the "Smite" button are so close together. Yeah, that's it. It were an accident.  :P
Morning, all. Back at work. Would appreciate a word of prayer- I have a possible opportunity jobwise that I am praying for guidance on whether or not to apply. There is a Probation/Parole Officer job open in the county adjoining me, and having spoke with some of the people connected with it, I feel confident I would have a shot at the job. Same pay, but with a take home car that would mean about $100 a week savings in gas. It also would be fairly similar hours- 8a to 5p, with some on call.

What I do in such situations (don't laugh!) is apply for it and pray that if it's not right, God will let it fall through.  And then try not to get upset if it falls through... which can be tougher than it sounds when they go around you and pick someone else, when YOU should have been the obvious first choice.   :roll:

Believe it or not, that is pretty much the way I do these kinda things...so I will probably be applying. Gotta talk with the pastor first and get his take...
