Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

It's not always that God is not a part of our hearts, and lives...sometimes the paths we end up going down; happen when we allow other things to gain priority!!!

If you've made God a part of your life, and heart...do you consider that there are things in your life that he doesn't want to share you with!

The devils' only trick is deception! The greatest deceit is resulting in a society that thinks they have to have everything; be everything; and do everything...that life is made up of entertainment, possessions, self-importance!

If you fall for the deception...he can distract you from your walk... he can destroy your walk!

So many Christians are distracted by the times we live in...being a part of the scene; being entertained, entertaining, possessing, acquiring, self-love, image; as well, right or wrong  relationships, etc.

If the devil can keep you deceived by telling you that all these things are important...you will never know when you have let him push God out of your heart!

If you allow things to distract you from God...you will lose him!

We attend church with Christians(and we all have our own moments) who text in church, play games on their devices in church, groom themselves while service is going, etc, etc....

So many come to service with their minds full of all the things they have to do; want to do; etc.

How much time do we really spend with God vs. how much time do you spend being entertained by the world?
How much of your life really belongs to God? What is distracting you from living for God?

Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

I'm sure that it can be interpreted in many ways...to me, it means know what your heart holds; the things you love, the things you believe, the things you treasure... The path your life takes you down; will be decided by what your heart holds!!!

Matthew 6:21  | For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

The chapter also contains the instruction to aquire wisdom, and knowledge; knowing what you stand for! It talks about considering what path your taking before you take it, etc, etc....

Proverbs 4:
20My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

24 Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

25 Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.

Proverbs 4:26 Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.

If you know what is good; and you know what you stand for...the truth is written upon your heart; it will be harder for the devil; and life to take you down paths that you never intended to take!

Life is generally decided by what we decide is important...more often than not the heart rules the mind!!

James 1:22  | But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
James 1:23  | For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
