The holy hills of Heaven call me
To mansions bright across the sea
Where loved ones wait and crowns are given
When the hills of home start calling me

This house of clay is but a prison
Bars of bone hold my soul
But the doors of clay are gonna burst wide open
When the angel sets my spirit free
I'll take my flight like a mighty eagle
When the hills of home start calling me

I see loved ones over yonder
Tears are gone and hearts are free
And from the throne of my Savior beckons
And the hills of home are calling me

This house of clay is but a prison
Bars of bone hold my soul
But the doors of clay are gonna burst wide open
When the angel sets my spirit free
I'll take my flight like a mighty eagle
When the hills of home start calling me
Calling me

I just stopped by on my way home --- i heard a baptist church singing it on the radio earlier
Hebrews 12:12-16 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you

I just feel like something good is about to happen
I just feel like something good is on its way
He has promised that He'd open all of heaven
And brother, it could happen any day
When God's people humble themselves and call on Jesus
When they look to Heaven expecting as they pray
I just feel like something good is about to happen
And brother it could be this very day

What gets me is the third verse... especially the part about being thrilled about the future :)

Yes I've noticed all the bad news in the papers
And it seems like things get bleaker every day
But for this child of God it makes no difference
You know it's bound to get better either way
I have never been more thrilled about tomorrow
Sunshine's always bursting through the skies of gray
I just feel like something good is about to happen
And brother it could be this very day
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

This is a brand new song that I heard for the first time this morning.

They played 3 songs right in a row that is really fitting in some situations close to me.

Here is the first one:

Blessings by Laura Story

We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things

'Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You're near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt your goodness, we doubt your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
As long as we have faith to believe

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not our home

What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can't satisfy
What if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are your mercies in disguise

they wear that song out sometimes at my church..
Hebrews 12:12-16 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. "Wear it out" as in sing it strong, or "wear it out" as in sing it so many times you get tired of it?

Sometimes I wear my media player out on it.  :D
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

Master of the Wind

1. My boat of life sails on a troubled sea
Whenever there's a wind in my sail.
But I have a friend who watches over me
When the breeze turns into a gale.

CHORUS:

I know the Master of the wind.
I know the Maker of the rain.
He can calm a storm, make the sun shine again.
I know the Master of the wind.

2. Sometimes I soar like an eagle through the sky
Above the peaks my soul can be found.
An unexpected storm may drive me from the heights
Brings me low, but never brings me down.

CHORUS:

He can calm a storm, make the sun shi

HE'S ALIVE!

The gates and doors were barred and all the windows fastened down
I spent the night in sleeplessness and rose at every sound
Half in hopeless sorrow and half in fear the day
Would find the soldiers breaking through to drag us all away

Just before the sunrise I heard something at the wall
The gate began to rattle and a voice began to call
I hurried to the window, looked down into the street
Expecting swords and torches and the sound of soldiers' feet

There was no one there but Mary so I went down to let her in
And John stood there beside me as she told us where she'd been
She said "They've moved Him in the night and none of us knows where
The stone's been rolled away and now His body isn't there!"

We both ran toward the garden, then John ran on ahead
And we found the stone and the empty tomb just the way that Mary said
But the winding sheet they'd wrapped Him in was just an empty shell
And how or where they'd taken Him was more than I could tell

Something strange had happened there, just what I did not know
John believed a miracle, but I just turned to go
Circumstance and speculation couldn't lift me very high
For I'd seen them crucify Him, and then I saw Him die

Back inside the house again, the guilt and anguish came
And everything I'd promised Him just added to my shame
When at last it came to choices, I denied I knew His name
Even if He were alive... it wouldn't be the same

Suddenly the air was filled with strange and sweet perfume
And light that came from everywhere drove shadows from the room
Jesus stood before me with His arms held open wide
And I fell down on my knees and just clung to Him and cried

He raised me to my feet and as I looked into His eyes
Love was shining out from Him like sunlight from the skies
Guilt and my confusion disappeared in sweet release
And every fear I'd ever had just melted into peace

He's alive!  He's alive!  He's alive and I'm forgiven, Heaven's gates are open wide
He's alive!  He's alive!  He's alive and I'm forgiven, Heaven's gates are open wide
He's alive!  He's alive!  He's alive and I'm forgiven, Heaven's gates are open wide
He's alive!  He's alive!  He's aliiiiiiiiiiiive!
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

More Than Enough

More Than Enough

My God is more than enough
He can supply all my needs
He is my El Shaddai
He always looks out for me
Jehovah Jirah he is my God 2x
all of the earth is His
and the fullness there of
He's everything that I need
you can be sure of
Jehovah Jirah he is my God 2x
So why should I worry bout the highs and the lows
the ups and the downs
and by my faith I know
my God is more than enough
He can supply all my needs
He is my El Shaddai
he always looks out for Me
Jehovah Jirah he is my God 2x

When Satan tries to say "You're not even saved
You're traveling down the wrong track"
I recall once again where grace withstood sin
Down memory's lane I take him back

I take him back to a time at an old-fashioned meeting
When the presence of God filled the air
When the saints were singing of grace and glory
Sweet melodies seasoned with prayer
When one simple sermon from an old-fashioned preacher
Was like life to a poor dying slave
I walk him down the aisle to a place at the altar
Where grace fell and I was saved
"Do you sing at church?"
"Yes I sing at church, I sing at home, at work, in the car, at the supermarket, at Wal-Mart..."

Thank God I am free, free, free, from this world of sin
Been washed in the blood of Jesus, been born again
Hallelujah I'm saved, saved, saved by His wonderful grace
I'm so glad I found out He would bring me out and show me the way :sing:

The Purple Fuzzy

#322
Wait And See by Brandon Heath

I was born in Tennessee
Late July humidity
Doctor said I was lucky to be alive

I've been trouble since the day that I got here
Trouble till the day that I disappear
That'll be the day that I finally get it right

Chorus
There is hope for me yet
Because God won't forget
All the plans he's made for me
I have to wait and see
He's not finished with me yet

I never really was that good in school
I talked too much, broke the rules
Teacher thought I was hopeless fool alright

I don't know how but I made it through
It's one of those things that you've gotta do
But I always had a knack for telling the truth

Chorus

Still wondering why I'm here
Still wrestling with my fear
But oh, He's up to something
And the farther on I go
I've seen enough to know
That I'm, not here for nothing
He's up to something

So now's my time to be a man
Follow my heart as far as I can
No telling where I'm ending up tonight
I never slow down or so it seems
But singing my heart it's one of my dreams
All I gotta do is hold on tight

Chorus

Lord move, or move me - FFH

I can't find the words to pray
I'm a little down today
Can you help me?
Can you hold me?
I feel like a million miles away
And I don't know what to say
Can you hear me anyway?
What I need is for you to reach out your hand
You have taught me
No matter what you'd understand

CHORUS:

Lord move in a way, that I've never seen before
Cause there's a mountain in the way and a lock on the door
I'm drifting away, waves are crashing on the shore
So Lord move (move), or move me.

I've look every where to find
A simple peace of mind
I can't find nothing on my own
So I got to leave myself behind
Take up this cross of mine
Give away everything I hold onto

Lord I know the only way is through this
Lord I know I need you to help me do this

CHORUS

Lord move in a way, that I've never seen before
Cause there's a mountain in the way and a lock on the door
I'm drifting away, waves are crashing on the shore
So Lord move (move), or move me.

Out of this place of complacency
To a place of fellowship with thee
Cause I am weak but Lord you are so strong
And you know it's been way too long (been way too long)

Lord move in the way, that I've never seen before
Cause there's a mountain in the way and I'll knock on the door
I'm drifting away, waves are crashing on the shore
So Lord move (move)...

Lord Move
